[kc_row use_container="yes" _id="868685"][kc_column width="12/12" video_mute="no" _id="925966"][kc_column_text _id="825781"]It was a life-changing Sunday and a life-changing sermon! Today, God restored hope and joy as He had us focus on truly understanding His heart of love for us. Holy Spirit moved and we were able to lay aside the challenges we are facing, and the trials and temptations of the past, and move into the future with God, and the oneness with God that He desires for us. If only we understood that He views us with such love and considers us the pinnacle of creation, His masterpiece, then we would respond to His love and come into communion with Him as He desires. We responded by getting out of our boxes and out of our comfort zone, into His heart, and just enjoying His presence. [/kc_column_text][/kc_column][/kc_row]
God's electing love is absolutely free. It is the gracious overflow of his boundless happiness guided by his infinite wisdom.

In contrast to the lifeless idols crafted by human hands, God alone is eternal, sovereign, and able to declare the future. "The love of God for me is an all-welcoming, accepting, warm presence. It's miraculous because how I viewed God growing up was the complete opposite. He's my best friend, my father, my mother—my everything. I have absolute and complete trust in Him, which I never thought was possible." —Jessica MorrisSHOW NOTESEPISODE HIGHLIGHTS Jessica's journey highlights the importance of vulnerability in healing. Addiction is portrayed as a powerful and evil force. Recovery is a process that requires support and community. Eschatology can be understood as personal transformation rather than just end times. Prayer (a natural conversation) is a vital part of connecting with God. Writing serves as a therapeutic outlet for Jessica. The church can be redefined as a supportive community. Authenticity is key in spiritual journeys. God's presence can be felt physically and emotionally. We can go to him in any form, in any mood, and He's gonna receive us the same way. Lean into God and ask God to walk me through this with grace. All we have to do is ask and then receive. "Thank you, God, for these circumstances. Help me to trust You to work in them. In this message, we dive deep into Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3. The central message revolves around the transformative power of truly understanding and experiencing God's love. We're challenged to move beyond surface-level faith and embrace the fullness of God's presence in our lives. The prayer highlights three facets of divine love: the Father's grace, the Spirit's strength, and Christ's indwelling presence. This trinity of love offers us not just forgiveness, but the power to change and grow. We're reminded that our dissatisfaction in life often stems from seeking fulfillment in temporary things, while God has placed eternity in our hearts. The message encourages us to shift our focus from external circumstances to the internal reality of God's love, which can sustain us through all of life's challenges. As we grasp the width, length, height, and depth of Christ's love, we're invited to experience a profound transformation that impacts not just our own lives, but overflows to those around us.
The goal of everything God takes us through is hope. He wants us to feel unwaveringly hopeful through all tribulations. He wants us to know he loves us.

In Psalm 52, we see a comparison between the wicked, who love evil and trust in their wealth, and the righteous, who trust in the steadfast love of God. The wicked will be uprooted while the righteous, like a green olive tree, will flourish. “From the fall of man, the rest of the Bible is the story of man coming back to the tree of life. ”Question: What is the most mentioned living thing in the Bible, other than God and people? Answer: Trees On this week's show, author Matthew Sleeth MD talks about his new book “Reforesting Faith - what trees teach us about the nature and love of God.” Matthew reminds us that the tree is THE major metaphor in the Bible. Every main character and event in the Bible is associated with or linked to a tree. Yet over the years, trees have been eradicated from the scriptures by theologians. Why? Matthew gives us a unique and powerful perspective on something that God loves very dearly. He says,“God loves trees, He gives them a ring on every one of their birthdays.” (This is a repeat episode - enjoy!)
The Bible declares that the love of God is a free gift to all who will believe in Jesus. While society's love is often earned, God's love is given freely. The love of God does not change. There is no variation or shifting shadow with God's love, as it does not depend upon our perfection. When we fail, God still loves us the same. All of God's love is brought to mankind in the person of Jesus. People need not seek God's love through works or the approval of religious organizations, but rather, they must simply receive it by childlike faith in Jesus. "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us!" Romans 5:8The love of God is not merely something He possesses—it is what He is in His very essence. Yet how rarely is this love rightly understood! It is not sentimental softness or passive approval. God's love is holy—never at odds with His righteousness. It is sovereign—freely bestowed upon whom He chooses. It is unchanging—eternally fixed upon His elect, unshaken by their failures or fluctuations. Before the foundation of the world, He set His love upon His chosen people. "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness!" Jeremiah 31:3. His love was not drawn out by any beauty or merit in us, for we were dead in trespasses, and enemies of God. Yet, from the depths of His own goodness and for the praise of His glorious grace, He loved us still. The cross stands as the supreme demonstration of this divine love. "This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him!" 1 John 4:9. There, at Calvary, love and justice met in perfect harmony. The wrath we deserved, was poured upon Christ--that the love of God might be lavished upon us.O the wonder of the love that chose us, redeemed us, and will never forsake us! Let the redeemed rest in this eternal affection, rejoice in its security, and be constrained by it to holiness. May we reflect such love to others—sacrificial, pure, and steadfast."Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through H
"Christ loved us, and gave Himself up for us!" Ephesians 5:2The love of God to sinners is an ocean without shore, a mystery that stretches beyond the grasp of the highest angel. That the infinitely holy God—before whom seraphim cover their faces—should set His heart upon those who were defiled, defiant, and dead in sin, is the most humbling truth in all of Scripture. His love was not merited by anything in us, for we were altogether sinful and unlovely. Yet He loved us!And His love was not a mere sentiment—it took action. He gave His Son—His only, His beloved—to bear the curse we deserved. The Father did not spare Him, but handed Him over to be mocked, scourged, and nailed to a cross! There, the spotless Lamb of God endured the sin-atoning wrath due to the very ones who hated Him. What tongue can express such love? What mind can fathom its depth? This love is not a relic of the past—it is alive and active this very moment. He loves us still. In discipline and direction, in provision and pain--His love sustains and sanctifies us. It is unchanging, invincible, and ever near. No failure of ours exhausts it; no affliction removes it. His love is as eternal as He is.This love is the well-spring of every spiritual blessing. Let this melt the pride of our hearts, still our restless fears, and ignite a life of glad obedience. Nothing strengthens faith, calms the soul, or drives us to holiness--like the felt reality of Christ's astonishing love in dying for such vile, undeserving sinners like us!"He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5O believe

Read OnlineThen Judas the Iscariot, one of his disciples, and the one who would betray him, said, “Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days' wages and given to the poor?” John 12:4–5Jesus was with His disciples at the home of Lazarus, Martha and Mary. He regularly spent time at their home and was close to them. This meal took place just before Jesus entered into Jerusalem for the first Palm Sunday and Holy Week. It was six days before Jesus would die on the cross.Recall that Lazarus had recently been raised from the dead by Jesus and also that Mary, Lazarus' sister, was deeply devoted to Jesus and is recorded as the one who sat at His feet, while her sister Martha served. During this visit, Mary offered another act of devotion to Jesus when she anointed Him with “a liter of costly perfumed oil.” She offered Him an act of love and devotion. The Scripture passage above records Judas' response as he also was at the meal. Jesus rebukes Judas and defends the act of devotion given by Mary, and the meal continues on. One clear lesson this teaches us is that nothing is too good for our Lord. It's true that we must do our part to help care for the poor, but Jesus' response to Judas is quite interesting. He says, “Leave her alone. Let her keep this for the day of my burial. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.” Jesus was not downplaying the importance of caring for the poor; He was emphasizing the importance of offering acts of love and devotion to Him.As we enter into this the holiest week of the year, we are given this image of Mary lavishing upon Jesus this liter of costly perfumed oil as a way of inviting us to do the same. Though we serve Christ in others who are in need, we must also seek to regularly offer Him devotion and love directly, even in ways that others may think is excessive. Honoring Him, expressing our love, spending time with various devotions, praying for extended periods of time, and even offering Him our financial resources are all ways in which we give Jesus the glory that is due Him. Reflect, today, upon ways in which you can imitate this act of loving devotion offered by Mary to Jesus. In what ways can you pour forth in an abundant way your time, money, talents, and energy upon our Lord? How can you best express your devotion to Him this Holy Week? Seek out ways to do this directly for the one and simple reason that you love our Lord and want to express that love this week. My glorious Jesus, You are worthy of all praise and honor. You are worthy of our deepest devotion and love. As I enter into this Holy Week, I pray that it will be a time in which I may express my deepest love for You. Help me to pour forth that love in abundance this week so as to show You the glory and praise You deserve. Jesus, I trust in You.
