Wine Some, Lose Some

We stay on the West coast this week with four rosé wines from the first 2020 releases. From Washington, Oregon, and California, we will see if the new rosé season is looking good or needs more time.

Today we continue our small tour of Italy with some, possibly, not so well known grape varieties, but all under $20. Following the boot that is Italy from the knee down to the toe, we find our favorite of the four options.

Today we were dreaming of being in Italy as we taste our way through some Italian red wines. We wanted to focus on some of the more affordable options, which honestly could take multiple episodes to do, as Italy has an abundance of them. Today our focus was on wines from four different regions in both the central and northern areas of Italy including a celebrity wine from a well established musician.

Now that the holidays are over and the cold, dreary winter weather is in full swing, at least here in the Pacific Northwest, what better subject to discuss than wines to drink for cozy nights by the fire. We taste four wines in this episode, including our usual featured celebrity wine. Also, per usual, we go off on a couple tangents about large format wines and Costco.

With the myriad of food options that most families have at their Thanksgiving get togethers, it might be confusing to choose a wine option that will go well with all the different flavors. Jane and I taste through some of the best options for the big turkey day and try to explain why some wines work, and why some may not.
