Axie Infinity launches but Jon doesn't want to spend $20 to try it, James finds his retro gaming skills challenged in nTitle's Fury demo, Jon adds to his collection of wallets when he tries to play DopeRaider, (which now runs on the POA Network), and we compare our faux coin haul in our ongoing obsession with BitGuild's airdrop jumblesale app GuildChat.
BitGuild starts airdropping TRX (and less useful tokens) into its new mobile messaging GuildChat app to much confusion, Jon buys a big shiny gun in Reality Clash, and HyperDragons and Ethermon beat out CryptoKitties' DAUs. Jon Jordan (@blockchaingmg) and BlockchainGamer.biz (@BCGbiz) James discuss the state of blockchain gaming.
In this week's episode, we're joined by James from BlockchainGamer.biz, and we discuss: Zombie Battleground's $350k Kickstarter Gods Unchained $1.2m pre-sale MLB Crypto Baseball's launch plus Mythereum going live on Bitguild, KamaGames' token sale and Alto and FlowPlay's partnership.
We talk about all the good things that can happen when Gaming meets Blockchain Technology. Bitguild is a decentralised gaming platform where you can find games that integrate Blockchain Technology and they also have their own marketplace. How will they avoid the same mistakes that Diablo 3 had when trading items, and what does Sean think of lootboxes? A small correction, I mention in the interview that the Dutch are not able to trade lootboxes from the game Player Unknown Battlegrounds. That should have been CS:GO and Dota 2. With Dota 2 Valve has now fixed it. The Dutch players can now see what it's in a loot box before purchase. The gaming industry is moving fast. Enjoy the interview.
