In the second half of our interview, Marshall Curry discusses the podcast that inspired him to make his award winning short film, The Neighbor’s Window (which you can see for free on YouTube and Vimeo). Marshall’s inspiration is The Living Room, by Diane Weipert (you can hear it on the podcast series, Love and Radio). Marshall also talks about his upcoming plans, which include a fictionalized version of a true story about a garbage man in Oklahoma who wants to build the largest haunted house attraction in America. We also discuss a small silver lining of the COVID tragedy: it’s easier to get remote appointments with producers, instead of flying to various locations to meet.

Have you ever said "This should be a movie?" Yes, you have. So have TheWrap's Matt Donnelly and Tim Molloy, and with "Shoot This Now," they focus every week on a different story they think want to see onscreen, drawing on things they read, stories they overhear, and even their own strange life experiences. This time: "The Living Room," a devastating story Matt heard on the excellent Love + Radio podcast. It comes from writer Diane Weipert and producer Briana Breen. Please listen to it here, because it's beautiful: http://loveandradio.org/2015/03/the-living-room/  We also talk about the Hitchcock-influenced "Phantom Thread," which we loved.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Starting on a sombre note, Crabb and Sales talk about death and dying, before switching to their regular high-spirited routine of discussing what they are literately and literally consuming. We learn Sales is not a complete monster, Crabb is still trying to pat it into a log, and Brendan can't find the setting for "remove mouth sounds caused by a walnut and blue cheese salad".My Baby in Bed the final column of Sam de BritoLife is Paler Without Sam de Brito's Spark by Luke McIlveenThe Year of Magical Thinking by Joan DidionOrdinary Days by Leigh SalesThe Living Room by Diane Weipert via Love + RadioMasters of SexJackson and Lawler on Four Corners by Caro Meldrum-HannaKitchen Cabinet season 5Please Like Me season 3Natural Born Keller by Amanda Keller
