Reem Edan is an Iraqi-American comedian, writer and Sagittarius, who employs comedic storytelling to expose the reality of today’s Muslim millennials. Born half-Sunni/half-Shiite, raised Arab in a white community, and later moving to the Middle East just one week before 9/11, Reem quickly realized that she would always be a societal black sheep. This shaped the quirkily-conflicting perspectives she embodies on stage, with material covering everything from her cross-cultural upbringing, to diversity challenges, to the struggles of leading a semi-halal lifestyle. She has performed at festivals including: the 1001 Laughs Dearborn Festival and the Funny Women Fest; competitions like MoveOn’s Laughter Trumps Hate; and at comedy shows around Los Angeles & Europe. reemedan.com Youtube.com/reemedan YOUTUBE New-ish 3 minute set: youtube.com/watch?v=xO1BIYsyQ1I First stand-up set: youtube.com/watch?v=Y_RgwvP2GBU SOCIAL FB: @Reemedancomedy TW: @Reemedan IG: @Reemedan

So to celebrate, here are three stories from our archive featuring three women who will be featured at Funny Women Fest. Erin McGown catches her parents having sex. Rachel Germaine puts the 'pube' in puberty. And Melanie Maras loses her flip phone, and finds a weirdo. Can you remember who the liar was?
This week, Erin and MeLissa sit down with sketch comedy team Cake Batter (Erin Miller Williams, Lauren Frost, Angela Risk) to discuss being friends and work partners, Android phones and the second annual Funny Women Fest.
