A few days following the show's emotional 10-year anniversary reunion panel, Eliza was kind enough to get on the phone with me and chat about her favorite behind-the-scenes memories of playing Jules, the intense material of the show, and what it means to look back a decade later. It's a great interview, and I hope you enjoy!

Another busy Summer weekend in the book. Had a Rock Stop on Friday, spent several hours in the sun & heat on Saturday getting the lawn mowed, jammed out at 80's Fest on Saturday night, and marched in the Sparta Butterfest parade yesterday. Needless to say, I need a nap. But before all that, we've got work to do! In the news this morning, the US & Iran have reached an agreement, a Wausau man pleads guilty to defrauding investors out of millions of dollars, a recall on alfredo sauce, a Wisconsin man allegedly kidnapped his roommate, and a deadly plane crash in Kansas kills the pilot of the plane and 11 skydivers. In sports, the Brewers take two out of three from the Phillies this weekend including the series opener on Friday where the Miz absolutely OWNED Philly, the Knicks beat the Spurs in San Antonio on Saturday night to clinch the NBA title, the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Vegas Golden Knights last night in game six to win Lord Stanley's Cup, Denny Hamlin won his third straight NASCAR Cup race, and Team USA opened up their World Cup with a 4-1 win over Paraguay on Friday. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight An incredible story about an organ donor who sadly passed away at a very young age, but was still able to give the gift of life to several other families in need. Plus, a couple of young teenage boys in Iowa are being recognized for saving an elderly woman who was stuck outside for over 16 hours. Elsewhere in sports, a recap of last night's UFC 250 event at the White House, James Harden gets arrested over the weekend, and former NFL player Aldon Smith dies at the age of 36. Apparently, online shopping addiction is so rampant in South Korea, they've developed an extremely unique way to battle against it. According to some new research, 33% of Generation X(ages 45 to 61) say that they are still dependent on their parents to some degree! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a Canadian man who got cited for drunken kayaking, a woman in Texas is suing McDonald's because of a problem with her Egg McMuffin, a #FloridaMan who got arrested for DUI and had 34 empty White Claw cans on his passenger seat, and a woman dies tragically in a bungee-jumping accident.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Recorded the morning after Glenn Wiggle's Monday-night prediction came true, Mike Sperrazza and Glenn dig into the Los Angeles mayor's race, where a little-known socialist candidate vaulted past Karen Bass on the strength of mail-in batches that broke almost entirely her way, many of them traced to Skid Row. They walk through James O'Keefe's undercover footage of NGO workers collecting and forging ballots, then tie the pattern to older fights like Al Franken's Senate win and Allen West's lost Florida seat, and to Gavin Newsom's cryptic "break the glass" remark. From there the conversation moves to California's mail-in rules and ghost voter rolls, the federal indictment accusing the Southern Poverty Law Center of funneling millions to extremist groups, and a Kathy Hochul clip on ICE and the Minneapolis killings. A conversation with Kula Yoga Fest founder Laura Erickson about yoga, community, nature, and the retreat-style experience of Camp Kula 2026.In this episode of The Midlife Spirituality Project, I'm joined by Laura Erickson, founder of Kula Yoga Fest, for a conversation about yoga, community, nature, and the power of gathering in person.Kula Yoga Fest 2026 is becoming Camp Kula — an all-inclusive, retreat-style yoga festival taking place July 24–26, 2026 at Ogontz White Mountain Resort in Lyman, New Hampshire. The weekend includes yoga, wellness sessions, nature, community, farm-to-table meals, live music, lake time, hiking, and space to slow down and reconnect. In our conversation, Laura shares the heart behind Kula Yoga Fest and why this gathering is about so much more than yoga classes. It is about belonging. It is about stepping away from the noise of everyday life. It is about being surrounded by teachers, practices, nature, and community that help you remember who you are.We also talk about why in-person experiences matter so much, especially in a world where many of us are craving deeper connection, meaningful conversation, and spaces where we can be fully ourselves. This episode is also special because I'll be teaching at Kula Yoga Fest this year. I'll be offering Candlelit Slow Flow Vinyasa and a Discovering Your Dharma workshop — both designed to help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the wisdom already within you.In This Episode, We Talk AboutThe story and heart behind Kula Yoga FestWhat the word “kula” means and why community is central to yogaHow Kula Yoga Fest is becoming a retreat/festival hybrid for 2026Why gathering in person can be so healingWhat makes Camp Kula feel like a wellness summer camp for the soulThe importance of nature, rest, play, and shared practiceWhat attendees can expect from the weekendWhy yoga is not just something we do on the matThe power of slowing down enough to hear yourself againKatie's offerings at Kula Yoga Fest: Candlelit Slow Flow Vinyasa and Discovering Your DharmaWhy This Conversation MattersSo many of us are craving something deeper than another class, another event, or another thing to add to the calendar. We are craving spaces where we can exhale.Spaces where we can reconnect with our bodies, our breath, our inner wisdom, and one another. That is what makes Kula Yoga Fest feel so aligned with the larger conversation we've been having here on the podcast about coming home to yourself.Sometimes coming home happens in stillness.Sometimes it happens on the mat.Sometimes it happens in nature. And sometimes it happens when we gather with others who are also seeking more peace, more meaning, more connection, and more truth.Listen If You AreCraving deeper communityInterested in yoga retreats or wellness festivalsCurious about Kula Yoga Fest 2026Looking for a meaningful summer experienceFeeling disconnected from yourself or othersWanting to spend more time in natureLonging for rest, reflection, movement, and connectionInterested in attending a retreat-style yoga festival in New HampshireLooking for spaces that support spiritual growth and self-discoveryResources MentionedLearn more about Kula Yoga Fest:https://www.kulayogafest.com/aboutDiscount Code: UNDERSTARS26If this conversation speaks to something you have been craving — more connection, more space, more community, more time in nature, or a deeper relationship with yourself — I would love to invite you to learn more about Kula Yoga Fest. And if you'll be there this July, please come find me. You don't pay. Ihr seid bei On the Way to New Work, heute mit Philipp Hartmann.
