It doesn't matter what your personality is, what your situation is, there is a deep longing in all of us to be seen. It's when we fabricate this idea in our head that if others are overlooking us, forgetting about our needs, God TOO must have forgotten about us. Whitney Akin explains it like this: “We feel it most in the moments we long to be remembered. When we wish that someone, anyone could say the right words, take away the pain, fix the problem, and rescue the day. Or we assume God has forgotten to take notice because is there really anything worth noticing?” Hagar knew when she was found that it was God who saw her. She answered God by name, praying to the God who spoke to her, “You're the God who sees me! Genesis 16:13 And he sees YOU! “05.08.22 – Make Room for God Too”.
2021-08-07 : Craig Cooper – Men Can Be Intimate with God Too
Are you too busy to recognize God? Too busy to pray? Too busy to let Jesus Christ be Lord of your life? Broadcast #6798
The lack of gratitude in society can be contagious. Kind of like a negative “Pay it forward.” How did we get to this place? Are we too prideful to thank each other, or even to thank God? Too busy? Too self-absorbed? As believers, we know life is a rich blessing from God. The clearest path to becoming a person of gratitude is to choose it. If we don’t choose gratitude, we choose ingratitude. Psalm 107:1 says, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Yes, we are busy. Yes, life gets us down in legitimate ways. But research proves being intentional about gratitude on a consistent basis, can bring positive benefits to almost every area of our lives. Realizing we’re too negative is a great first step. Keep going by actively counting and considering your blessings each day. Before long, you’ll be amazed how little you think about what you don’t have. You’ll be too busy enjoying what you have! Let’s pray. Lord, you never leave us. And along the way, you bless us with big and small acts of kindness and mercy. Thank you for the grace in our lives! Amen.
Have you ever experienced the tangible Glory of God? Too often we, as believers, exchange HIS PRESENCE for OUR SCHEDULES. How different would our lives be if we spent the time in God's glory. In this message Pastor Terry shares 3 things we see in God's presence.
Have you thought lately about the faithfulness of God? Too often we are prone to focus on our own faithfulness and our own faith. Our leaving a victorious Christian life indicates that we are trusting a faithful God who cannot fail, not that we are faithful to Him. How should we respond to the faithfulness of God? First, sing of His faithfulness (v.1a). Are you praising God today for His faithfulness? When you find yourself unfaithful to the Lord, consider His faithfulness. After all, “He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 Jn.1:9). Share God’s faithfulness with others (v.1b). In giving our testimonies, we sometimes brag about ourselves. The psalmist said, “I’m going to share the faithfulness of God—not what I have done, but what He has done: not what I am, but what He is.” Finally, submit to His faithfulness (v.7). Our God is faithful. We can trust Him. Not one Word of all His promises has failed. He has vast riches of His grace. God is faithful in everything. Praise Him for His faithfulness, share it with others and submit to it. He can be trusted.
In this lesson Pastor Driskell asks the question, “How can I give gifts in a way that honor God?” Too often we give gifts with strings attached or we give gifts expecting something in return, but if we are to give gifts in a way that pleases God we are to give freely as they had received. (Matthew 10:8) God freely gives to us all that we have so we should freely give. For more information please visit www.OTBChurch.com

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:14-20 Topic: Holy Living Notes: - Our hearts are prone to wander away from God- Too many things have an attraction to us, a power over us, that would not if we kept our eyes on Jesus; be filled with the Holy Spirit- Preachers who fell... none of us exempt- Don’t want to fail God, destroying family and losing my testimony- Satan catches us off guard; we need to realize what’s happening- All devil needs to trip you up is to create reasonable doubt- Cast down imaginations- The Word of God (truth) is our greatest weapon... will set you free- Men lie & deceive.- Spirit filled man should never have to go to a bar for relief/relaxation- So-called Christians are doing the same things as the world- Women will dress provocatively; even Christian women want to be attractive to someone- There will always be something there to hinder you; fight every day- There are things you can’t do and places you can’t go Holy Living
