Sometimes it takes players making gestures towards the referee for a foul to be called, and the flag goes out late. No matter what happens, the referee's job is to ensure that the game is played the right way. Today, Pastor Terry says no matter where we are, we must ensure we're living within God's will. There are many, frankly valid, concerns around fairy tales and specific movies as they pertain to the Christian faith for children. If we tell our kids about Santa Claus, how will they view Jesus? Pastor Terry's message reminds us that giving God our best is about excellence, not perfection. Like Daniel, we're called to develop a spirit of excellence from the inside out, allowing God to shape our hearts and attitudes. As Christ's representatives, we honor Him through the way we live, serve, and interact with others, showing His love in everything we do.

In John chapter 8, we encounter one of Scripture's most powerful confrontations between religious hypocrisy and divine grace. When the Pharisees drag a woman caught in adultery before Jesus, they believe they've set the perfect trap. If He shows mercy, He violates Moses' law. If He demands stoning, He breaks Roman law and loses the people's trust. But Jesus does something unexpected: He stoops down and writes in the sand, then delivers words that echo through the ages: 'He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.' One by one, from oldest to youngest, the accusers drop their stones and walk away, convicted by their own conscience. What makes this passage so compelling is how it exposes our tendency to judge others while ignoring our own failings. The religious leaders knew the law demanded both the man and woman be stoned, yet only the woman stood accused. Their selective enforcement revealed hearts motivated not by righteousness but by a desire to trap and condemn. We see ourselves in this mirror. How often do we carry stones of judgment, ready to condemn others for sins we ourselves commit? Jesus offers us something better: the invitation to lay down our stones, step into His light, and receive the grace that transforms. He doesn't excuse sin, He redeems it. His words to the woman, 'Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more,' reveal the heart of the gospel. We are not saved by condemnation but by grace that leads to genuine repentance and transformation.

What are some truly incredible plot twists in cinema history? What about finding out who Luke's father is in Star Wars? Or learning Teddy Daniels' secret in Shutter Island. Life is full of plot twists and unexpected realities. Today, Pastor Terry teaches that one of the greatest plot twists of all time happened when Satan thought that Jesus had been defeated. However, that wasn't the end of the story. Jesus died for your sins but came back to life to show that death had been conquered and you've been set free.

Pastor Terry's message teaches that generosity is a lifestyle that reflects our devotion to God and His kingdom. We are called to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures—using each to serve others and honor God. True generosity flows from a heart that recognizes everything we have belongs to Him, and giving joyfully invites His blessing into our lives.

There's a common phrase among bible historians and scholars: “The Bible wasn't written to you, but it was written for you.” The idea is simple… When Paul wrote Romans, he was writing to… well… the Romans. When the Levitical Law was written, it was written to the Levites. In today's message, Pastor Terry teaches that while you may not be the original audience of God's Word, it is meant for you just as much as those original readers. Those words hold just as much truth today. God's Word is never changing.

Pastor Terry reminded us that the Holy Spirit gives us power to live out our faith and share the Good News wherever we go. He explained that praying in tongues connects us directly to God, strengthens our spirit, and confuses the enemy. As we pray, worship, and stay rooted in Scripture, we grow stronger and more confident in the power of the Holy Spirit working through us. 

“Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.” Does that sound familiar to you? Many believers recognize that as the Doxology. In today's message, Pastor Terry teaches just how worthy Jesus is to get that praise. He's worthy to be praised by every living creature here on earth, and by every angel in heaven above. He's worthy of this praise because He chose to sacrifice His life for yours.

Many people are familiar with the wonderful story of Joseph in the book of Genesis, and how he tells his brothers that what they meant for evil, God meant for good. How true is that? We often face situations that seem extremely hard and difficult, but God always works them for good. In today's message, Pastor Terry teaches that when Jesus was given a crown of thorns, the Romans meant it for evil. However, God meant it for good, because now you can kneel before the King who defeated death.

God cannot be deceived. Outward righteousness does not always reflect inner holiness. Today, Pastor Terry discusses the Jews who brought Jesus to Pilate. They refused to enter the area where He was being beaten beyond recognition because they had prepared themselves for the Sabbath and did not want to become unclean. Ironically, while they appeared to be righteous, they were complicit in the death of Jesus. This contrast between their outward goodness and the evil they harbored is striking.

The Jewish leaders wanted to get rid of Jesus, but they faced a difficult situation. Under Roman rule, they did not have the authority to execute Jesus as they wished. Instead, they had to fabricate false charges to involve the Romans. Today, Pastor Terry describes the events leading up to Jesus's wrongful trial. The trial itself was not a legal proceeding; there were false testimonies, and Pilate attempted to distance himself from the process. As a result, Jesus was unjustly tried and convicted.

Pastor Terry reminded us that God's Word is our firm foundation, the only truth strong enough to build our lives on. He also introduced the work our Mission Team is doing as part of our calling to love God, love others, and serve the world while sharing the Good News that brings salvation to all who believe. With our eyes on the vision of heaven, we are called to help develop fully devoted followers of Christ from every nation and people.

The suffering of Jesus was voluntary. In today's message, Pastor Terry reminds us that it was not the handcuffs or chains that held Jesus captive, but His love for us. Jesus could have called ten legions of angels to rescue Him. God likely had to restrain the angels when they saw Jesus being assaulted. His love provided redemption, endured persecution, and paid the penalty for our sins. He was willing to go to the cross out of His great love for us, submitting to God's will and providing for our salvation.

Worship isn't just something that happens on Sunday mornings. Every moment can be lived out in a form of worship. Does this mean you need to constantly recite Scripture or hum a praise song? You're welcome to do that – but that's not the only way to honor Him. Whether you're pushing papers, mopping floors, teaching children, changing diapers, or whatever your job may look like, as Pastor Terry reminds us today, when we turn our hearts towards God, we can worship Him in everything we do.

Pastor Terry's sermon reminds us to celebrate God's faithfulness and the joy He brings to His people. But we must also stay alert, because drifting away from Him often starts with small compromises that weaken our walk. True discipleship is a lifelong journey of daily obedience, where each step of prayer and faith builds a strong and lasting life with God.

Happiness can fluctuate with your daily circumstances. No one's happy when they get in a car accident, the roof of the house needs repairing, or that relationship is strained and they can't find reconciliation. That doesn't feel good. But, as Pastor Terry will remind us in today's message, in those moments where life is hard, we still have a deeper hope in Jesus, and that can bring joy to our hearts. No matter how bad it may get all around us, we're loved, and He's promised us eternal peace with Him.

Pastor Terry's message reminds us that building something lasting for God requires sacrifice, courage, and a clear vision. Like Nehemiah, we are called to see the need, share the vision, and work together—trusting God's hand even when opposition comes. With faith and perseverance, we can rise up, stay committed, and see God's plans fulfilled in our lives and in our church.

Most biblical prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. In today's message, Pastor Terry encourages us with God's promises for our future. He highlights that we are witnessing many prophecies come to pass, right before our eyes. He also speaks about the promise of the Holy Spirit, which God has sent to guide and empower us. Pastor Terry reminds us that the true work of the Holy Spirit always glorifies Jesus. We can live with confidence, knowing God will enable us to accomplish His will.

Pastor Terry's message encourages us to see people and situations the way God sees them, just like Nehemiah did when he heard about Jerusalem's broken walls. He reminds us to pray boldly and humbly, asking God to renew our hearts and guide us back to our mission. Finally, we are challenged to step out of our comfort zones and take action—through prayer, fasting, and service—to help rebuild what's been broken in our lives, our church, and our city.

Do you remember the events that brought conviction to your heart prior to salvation? Today, Pastor Terry reminds you that God uses people and events to reach every person on earth and show them their need for Christ. People can either respond to His prompting or reject it. Sometimes, they try to drown out God's conviction with worldly pleasures, work, or drugs. They are often very close to salvation during these times. You and other believers can stand in the gap and continue to pray for the lost.

The central issue in fulfilling God's will and performing the works He desires of us revolves around the question Pilate asked: “What will you do with Jesus?” In today's message, Pastor Terry reminds us that our belief in Jesus and His finished work of redemption is the foundation of everything we do. Our acceptance by Him, our desire to share our faith, and our good works are all motivated by His sacrifice on the cross. Ultimately, rejecting Jesus is the only sin that can lead to condemnation.

A remarkable example of transformation is the life of Paul. In his message today, Pastor Terry reflects on the actions and beliefs of the Apostle Paul, prior to his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, and the significant change that Christ made in his life. Paul went from persecuting Christians and advocating for their deaths to boldly preaching before King Agrippa. He had believed he was doing God's will by destroying Christians.
