The core message centers on Jesus' teaching in Mark 7 that true defilement comes not from external things entering the body, but from sinful attitudes and desires that proceed from within the heart, including greed (described as an "evil eye"). Greed is portrayed as an excessive, selfish craving for more than needed, which can take root inwardly and lead to harm if unchecked. The sermon contrasts this with the importance of guarding the heart, appreciating God's provision for needs (not endless wants), and maintaining joy through laughter as a healing force. Ultimately, believers are called to prioritize inner purity, contentment, and trust in God over material pursuits, while embracing humor and lightness in life.

Let's be honest—the best plan is always to avoid sin. But we're human, and we mess up. So, what do we do when that happens? We shouldn't hide it or pretend it didn't happen. What does it mean to truly confess the wrong things we have done? The Bible is full of people who acknowledge that they sinned, but didn't really mean it. Today, Pastor Terry discusses various characters from the Bible, such as Pharaoh, who admit to being wrong, but aren't truly sorry because they fail to change their behavior. They go back to their old ways. True confession involves a transformation of what you do. Does your confession result in a change of behavior? Or do you go back to your old habits?

What should we do when we find ourselves unable to move forward? Today, Pastor Terry encourages us to rely solely on Jesus for real answers. Often, we turn to self-help programs or quick fixes, but the only true and lasting solution is found in the gospel of Christ. Self-help programs can lead us through a complicated maze of steps that ultimately result in dead ends. Just as God led the Israelites out of their bondage in Egypt, He can provide us with permanent solutions through Christ.

When do you communicate with God? Is your only interaction with Him during moments of worship or times of thanksgiving? In today's message, Pastor Terry reminds us that Moses had a close relationship with God and included his complaints in his prayers. God is aware of our feelings and thoughts. Our communication with Him should also encompass our doubts and disappointments. We can talk to God at any time; every day can be an opportunity for communication and fellowship with Him.

Christmas is more than a moment, a memory, or a tradition. It's the story of God choosing to be with us. In this Christmas Day episode, Pastor Terry walks through the meaning of Immanuel—God with us. This message reminds us that Jesus didn't just come to be admired as a baby in a manger, but to live among us, show us who God truly is, and ultimately die so we could have access to Him. Do you ever feel inadequate when it comes to fulfilling God's purpose? Today, Pastor Terry highlights the gifts that God has bestowed upon us within the church. God equips His believers with every talent and ability necessary to share the gospel. It is a beautiful manifestation of the Holy Spirit within the church to witness the diverse gifts given to individuals within the body of Christ. Just as God empowered Moses for the task He assigned to him, He equips believers today to accomplish His mission.

Pastor Terry Brown teaches that true peace is far more than a feeling or cultural symbol—it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, reconciliation with God through Christ's coming (Advent peace), and the personal gift of Jesus' own peace. Using humor and Scripture, he contrasts counterfeit “hippie peace” and seasonal chaos with the biblical peace that produces both internal calm and harmonious relationships, ultimately bridging the gap between God and mankind through the cross.

If you've ever cooked, then you may know, there are things that you can substitute in your recipes. If a recipe calls for a lemon, you may be able to substitute a lime! In today's message, Pastor Terry says God and Jesus are one. There is no substitute! They're the same person. Jesus has all the power of God, and yet He chose to die on the cross for your sins! He loves you and sacrificed Himself even though He knew the pain He was going to go through. Now you can stand confident and have freedom in Him!

Romans 3 reminds us that no matter how hard we try, none of us can make ourselves right with God. We all miss the mark: even the “good” people. Pastor Terry's message reminds us that the wise men found Jesus because they followed God's light instead of getting distracted by shadows. In the same way, God's grace leads us to turn away from things that pull us off track and toward a life that honors Him. True grace isn't just something we notice—it's something we receive with humility and a willing heart.

The other day, I read an article about a photographer taking a picture of an animal that people thought was extinct. The creature was found in the woods, and people were in shock that it still existed. Some thought it was just folklore until they saw that picture and realized it wasn't just a story; this animal really existed. Today, Pastor Terry says Jesus is one of a kind. Just like that animal, there was and is only one Jesus. He's the savior of the world, and He's come so you can have a relationship with God.

Everyone longs to be loved — but not all love heals. In this message from 1 Corinthians 13, Pastor Terry shows us the “more excellent way,” revealing what real, Christ-shaped love looks like. This kind of love is patient, kind, steady, and sacrificial… a love that doesn't quit, doesn't retaliate, and doesn't keep score.
