Today, we’re talking to award-winning movie director and screenwriter, Jennifer B. White about her new documentary "Pretty Toxic." The film takes on the $450 billion beauty industry and exposes the truth about the toxic chemicals in our personal care products. 

Listen in on an exclusive interview with my new friend Jennifer B. White. She is the filmmaker behind the Pretty Toxic, a ground-breaking documentary due to be released in 2019. It focuses on chemicals in our cosmetics, makeup, and personal care products. It’s a story that pulls the audience in on a very personal topic—the desire to be attractive and the lure of products that promise to deliver on those objectives. The film takes the audience on a journey of discovery, bringing clarity to widespread confusion about ingredients, marketing gimmicks, and even greenwashing. It not only reveals the health risks at stake for women, but offers examples of safer products they can use to avoid common chemicals of concern. It also examines new legislation, what the FDA can—and cannot do—and the effects these chemicals can have on the environment and our precious world. Jennifer is known for her award-winning movie directing and screenwriting.
