Hey, it’s another COVID cast! Speaking of casts, my leg is healing nicely, cast comes off three weeks from yesterday. I’m cooking dinner again. Isabelle did a record breaking grocery shop. I'm just writing things now in order for me to have a placeholder for after we come back from shopping. We went to Sudbury last weekend, so maybe we'll talk about that. Hey, you know, I could actually write all this stuff in advance, and then sort of drive the conversation in the direction of what I've pre typed! That sounds like effort though. Hey, we did talk about Sudbury. Isabelle enjoyed the play she went to and Jon and I enjoyed seeing 'Game Night'. In fact there's a Jonathan Files review on his podcast. I'm back in my old office, but my coffee maker broke, so I bought a new one. If there was an olympic event in money spending, Jonno might medal. Isabelle is getting a bit tired of her project, but that makes sense as she's in the tunnel and can see the light at the end of it.
It is snowy again. It melted during the week, but it came back. However, it is melting now. It's pretty gross out, except the temperature is ok. Snow sometimes flies off of cars, you should take pictures of people like that. Jon in probably going to be on his school's float for today's Santa Claus parade. Should be fun for him, perhaps there'll be a Jonathan Files about it. I bought the liquor etc for this year's egg nog! We definitely needed a box. Isabelle is a will imposer. I went to high school with a William Imposer, good guy.
We're back on the Saturday schedule, but, we have special bonus coverage of our trip to the Bruce Peninsula, London, Gundy Lake etc. We took the Chi Cheemaun ferry in there, and those of you who want more ferry coverage should check out the most recent episode of the Jonathan Files. We picked up Maddie in London, she's home for a visit. We camped a bit, and of course as noted visited London. In London Isabelle bought Maddie and Ross a table. Listen to the tale of the table and my ability to do arithmetic in my head! Isabelle has a friend who would like to start a repertory theatre. I hope it works out, good luck to him. There was a funny guy in the LCBO, I don't think he meant to be.... Overall the Saturdays I think are better than the Tuesdays.
sabelle is back from her trip to Quebec City and Montreal to visit family and I'll soon be off to #MMPR2016. We brought Jon along this time to the scene of a Jonathan Files restaurant review, Stackburger. While this never made it to the recording I want to mention that someone in my fb feed the other day called their food 'salty'. It's not, and if you don't put salt on the outside of a burger you don't get that nice crust, I'm just saying. While Isabelle was away we tore down, or cut down, a tree that was growing at a ridiculous rate. It is a poplar I think. Five years ago it didn't exist. Today, it was 40-50 feet high. It had to go. We were going to go camping, but the weather looks shitty, so no to that. Staying in the trailer is one thing, staying in it all day is quite another. I'll have some post MMPR thoughts next week.
We started out on a quick grocery trip on Monday as I was away at the Conference on Comparative Cognition with Madeleine. We talked about podcasting again, which seems to be a running theme. If you haven't yet checked out Isabelle's new art podcast you should. THere's a link on the left, click it. Then it was off to our regularly scheduled grocery cast, yay!!! There is a bit in French during the grocery cast just for Bob. Finally we went to the student year end art show along with the host of the Jonathan Files!

Fixed action patterns,, habituation below zero and stuff like that. I had to switch recorders as my batteries ran out on my Zoom H2 today, so that explains the musical interlude. Starting and ending music 'Shotgun Loudmouth' by Battery Life, oh and we had a visit from Jonathan from the famous Jonathan Files podcast and his Youtube channel.
