Kristy Fox is one of the three women behind She the Change (formerly known as Circle Movement). Her bio puts it this way: "Speaker + serial creative + co-founder of the global women's movement- Circle Movement, Kristy has earned her stripes working with + motivating women. With over 20 years experience in the youth, community and not-for profit sector.Kristy's been described as a visionary go-getter. When she speaks, people lean forward, eager to make a difference in their world."I completely agree with every one of these words. Kristy is an amazingly inspiring human, and it was an absolute joy to dig a little deeper into her story and the movement she has helped to create.Plus I wrote my first ever poem featuring an emoji.Join me in creating Poetic Beings by becoming a Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/willsmallCheck out my other work at willsmall.com.au or leadbystory.com.au

Before mamahood, the world revolves around us. As independent women, with the world at our feet, it’s easy to get wrapped up in our future and our own problems. But mamahood changes that. Our world expands, and our sense of connection to the greater future does too. Suddenly we’re worried about what our children will inherit and we feel more connected to other mothers and children around the world, even if their world is vastly different to ours. But that sense of inheritance can feel heavy. How do we ensure our children’s world is safe and healthy when we are just trying to stay on top of our day-to-day worlds? In this inspiring episode, Amy talks with Kristy Fox, co-founder of She The Change, a global movement that inspires women to be a part of the change in this world, no matter how small their role. And as a mama to three, Kristy knows the challenge of following that call to do more while raising a family. You can learn more about She The Change, and attend their rallies here.
Instead of seeking balance, Kristy Fox (Regional Director — South Coast Region) creates margins in her life. Her experiences as a leader, a woman, and a mother in ministry allow us to hear a perspective becoming an organization where men and women are 'better together', and presents the opportunity to discuss how we might accomplish that goal mission-wide.
