His dream has always been to hunt in Texas. Hogs, deer, turkey... it didn't matter just as long as it was Texas. For Fall Obsession Staff Coordinator Todd Sellon, that dream came true! Todd flew down to Texas; originally to record podcasts with Sam and produce some content in-person, but Sam couldn't let him come to Texas without including a hunting trip. Todd and Sam discuss and share the story of how this opportunity came to be, and what it was like hunting hogs in 100+ degree temps. Todd describes in detail the two days of his hunt; ending with both guys drawing blood on Texas Dirt! Todd also talks about a new video series he and his Mid-Western Fall Obsession crew inspired us to pursue, with the first episode coming soon to our pages! This is a great conversation with a passionate outdoorsman who finally got to check one off the bucket list! For more hunting & outdoor content, visit https://www.fallobsession.comFall Obsession Podcast is driven by our friends at Ridge Rock Hunt Company (https://ridgerockhuntcompany.com)

Deer season may be over in Texas, but hunting wild hogs is a year-round activity. Despite there not being many pigs near this specific spot, Tyler Barron has an opportunity to put a little meat in the freezer, and that's exactly what he does!
Hog hunting is a true public service for land owners in places like Texas. Hogs tear into crops, buildings, waterways and all kinds of other places they shouldn’t. People like Cable Smith help out their neighbors by hunting these boars down whenever they can. Hog hunting where it’s hot, like Texas, the best time to hunt is at night. However, the hogs still come out in the heat so having a daytime and a night time hog hunting setup is the best way for Texas hog hunters to drop as many pigs as possible. Hog hunters in Texas usually use bait of some kind to bring in hogs so Cable Smith’s shares what he uses to bait the big hogs in.Gearbox Talk is brought to you by GoWildDownload GoWild today.
