On an incredible night in the Pool for the Australians , the Bronze medal won by Lewis Bishop still managed to stand out. The 19 year old is only competing in this event so had been at La Defense every night waiting for his moment. He came from 8th at the turn to finish 3rd behind teammate Timothy Hodge. He told Ned Hall how shocked he was to be there, how his goal was just to make the games and how he couldn't help but get emotional when he saw his Mum and Dad watching on.
