Biblical Theology, Episode 08 Today, Lauren Bowerman is talking with Yannick Christos-Wahab about the theme of priest and priesthood that we see throughout Scripture. Yannick and Lauren trace the theme of priesthood through the Bible, from its early hints in Genesis, through the priests of Israel, and ultimately all the way to Jesus, who fulfills and transform the role as our great high priest (and who then passes the baton to us as a “royal priesthood” of believers!). We hope that seeing Jesus as your high priest in this episode helps you to love him more! 4:30 Understanding Biblical Theology 7:45 Role and Purpose of the Priest 12:30 Why Were Priests Needed? 17:30 The Need for a Better Priest 21:00 Jesus as Our Priest 28:00 Before the Throne 32:00 Priesthood of Believers 37:00 The Word and the Church FULL SHOW NOTES journeywomen.org/episode/jesus-our-perfect-priest DISCUSSION QUESTIONS Was your understanding of the Old Testament and the Levitical priesthood system broadened as you listened to this episode?

Host: Warrington Ellacott Guest(s): Yannick Trudel Published: June 29, 2026 Length: Approx. 21 minutes Presented by: Global Training Center Summary Canada is moving quickly on several legislative fronts that could reshape how importers, exporters, manufacturers, and distributors manage trade compliance. In this episode, Warrington Ellacott is joined by Yannick Trudel, Partner at McMillan LLP in Montreal, to unpack three bills recently tabled in Parliament: Bill C-35, Bill C-34, and Bill C-36. The main focus is Bill C-35, a proposed forced labor enforcement measure that could significantly expand the Canada Border Services Agency's powers and shift the burden of proof onto importers and owners of goods. The discussion compares Canada's approach with the U.S. UFLPA framework and highlights why supply chain documentation, supplier certifications, tariff classification consistency, and rapid response readiness are becoming more important than ever. The episode also touches on Canada's emerging digital safety and consumer data privacy proposals, including how data localization and cross-border data flow rules may create new trade tensions under USMCA. For companies trading into Canada, the message is clear: review the bills, prepare documentation, and be ready for a more enforcement-driven environment. Main Topic / Discussion This episode explores Canada's proposed shift from forced labor reporting obligations toward stronger border enforcement. Bill C-35 would introduce a more presumptive approach to forced labor risk, potentially relying on lists of countries, regions, entities, or commodities linked to forced labor. If enacted, the bill could require importers and owners to prove that goods were not produced with forced labor. Warrington and Yannick also discuss the broader compliance environment, including Canada's existing S-211 forced labor reporting obligations, the role of CBSA, potential appeal limitations under the proposed bill, and what U.S. and Mexican traders should expect when doing business with Canadian partners. The conversation closes with a look at Bills C-34 and C-36, especially the potential trade implications of consumer data protection, digital safety rules, data sovereignty, and cross-border data flows. Key Takeaways • Bill C-35 could shift the burden of proof from CBSA to importers and owners of goods. • Importers may need stronger supplier documentation, certificates, and proof of supply chain due diligence. • Canada may develop forced labor risk lists based on countries, regions, companies, or commodities. • Consistent tariff classification and customs declarations across borders will become increasingly important. • Proposed appeal limitations could make CBSA enforcement decisions harder to challenge. • Bills C-34 and C-36 may create indirect trade implications for companies operating online or handling consumer data in Canada. Welcome to this episode of Talking about Coaching, the podcast from coaches for coaches. This episode is one of Yannick's deep dives into one topic or person and we're talking about coaching with Ruth Cooper-Dickson who shares her inspiring journey from doing corporate work to coaching classical musicians, highlighting what it takes to break into a new line of work as well as innovative approaches to wellbeing and resilience through music and positive psychology. In July 2026 Ruth will be presenting the insights and learning from this journey at the European Conference for Positive Psychology (ECPP) in Dublin, and we thought it would be excellent to offer the conference audience (as well as a wider one) access to a deeper dive into how she made this dream happen, her approach to working with musicians and performers, and her experience along the way.KEY TOPICS- How to launch a successful coaching pilot- Building resilience and confidence in musicians- Community and relationship building through arts- Using strengths and values in coachingABOUT RUTHRuth Cooper-Dickson is an award-winning positive psychology practitioner, trauma-informed coach, and founder of Thrivership Coaching™. A published academic, her recent practitioner research focuses on classical musicians, and she has developed and delivered a positive psychology coaching programme for musicians and composers in collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Society, bringing evidence-based wellbeing tools to the unique pressures of a life in classical music. Her earlier academic work explored post-traumatic growth and coaching, a thread that continues to underpin her practice.Ruth launched her wellbeing consultancy after her own experience of mental ill health, including Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and chronic burnout. That lived experience sits at the heart of her work, where she helps individuals and organisations start open, honest, and human conversations about Mental Wealth. Her trauma-informed approach to thrivership coaching supports people to grow after adversity rather than simply recover from it. She has been a patron of the UK anxiety charity No Panic since 2018.Alongside her coaching, Ruth is a radio broadcaster who has hosted live since 2024, and a keynote speaker who has delivered talks for global brands, combining academic research with real-world insight. Yannick and Tony talk about how they have been managed and how they have managed others throughout their 25-year careers. They reflect on how their experiences of leadership have impacted them. Which leadership behaviours have made them feel valued and empowered and which have made them feel exposed and demoralised? How have they as leaders looked to balance the need to have impact with the need to support their team? Has leadership changed? Are leaders becoming more effective? Do we have enough good leaders in education? Is the need to be corporate and show improvement at odds with the need to support and develop teachers holistically? The hosts tackle this and many other questions as they delve into the big issues of educational management.

Richard, Murray Barnett and Yannick Ramcke convene for a World Cup special, using the 2026 tournament as a lens on how sports broadcasting is shifting beneath the surface. The conversation moves from Qatar-to-2026 comparisons (more accelerated change, more fragmentation, but a still-basic mainstream default) through the "AI slop mountain" that the expanded tournament and unfriendly European kickoff times will generate, into the rise of creator- and personality-led shoulder programming — anchored by Goalhanger's Netflix deal for The Rest Is Football. The panel pushes back on the easy consensus. Yannick's central argument: free-to-air, creator-led distribution cannot sustain the economics FIFA needs, and the real risk isn't broadcasters losing matches — it's the complement becoming a substitute. The trio then dissect FIFA's failed India and China deals, separating intrinsic value from negotiating theatre (the "aspirational vs delusional" exchange), and the structural mismatch between billions of eyeballs and uncertain monetization in "numbers markets" rather than "willingness-to-pay markets."They close on FIFA's designation of YouTube as a "Preferred Platform" — which Yannick reads not as value creation for broadcasters but as a short-term revenue-maximizing tax on platforms that hadn't paid before, a net new nine-figure sum with little practical change to the ecosystem. Throughout, the recurring tension is reach versus revenue, and whether risk-averse broadcasters will actually use the first-10-minutes rights they've been handed. This episode is sponsored by The Institute of Sports Humanities (ISH) ISH educates sport's current and future leaders around the world, as the leading independent provider of sports leadership education and insight.Their Strategic Sport Leadership Masters (MA) is for sports industry executives to study alongside their careers – designed for professionals who want to build on their experience, strengthen strategic thinking, and connect with a global network of peers working across sport.Applications for the next intake on the 2026 Strategic Sport Leadership MA, starting September, are open.Visit sportshumanities.org for more informationUnofficial Partner is the leading podcast for the business of sport. Yannick did it! I've been saying for a while we need to see some 9As get downgraded (and potentially some 8Cs/8C+s upgraded) and Yannick has helped to get the ball rolling. He's always fun to talk to, you never feel far away from a clipable comment or quote that would make us serious bank on instagram if I could be bothered to clip it and post it. He's honest and he says what he thinks and we need a lot more of that at the moment!
