Authenblissity Meditations #5 • Release What No Longer Resonates

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 18, 2020 10:02

In Episode 5 of this series, we will focus on releasing anything that no longer resonates with us. Where in your body are you holding tension? Slowly scan your body again starting from the top of your head and notice the areas that are tense or tight. Shift your attention downward, scanning each part of your body. Notice where the tension resides. Are the areas of tension close to your skin’s surface or are they sitting deeper within your body? Continue scanning your body slowly and gently. Continue taking long, deep breaths. As you move through your body, turn your attention to a particular area of tension. Start to gently breathe into that area of tension. Take a deep breath in. Allow your inhalation to reach the midpoint of the area of tension. Now exhale fully and completely. Allow your exhalation to release some of the tension you were holding inside. Continue with these deep inhalations and exhalations, Allowing your breath to carry out the tension you were holding within. As you continue to breathe deeply, start to imagine your body, mind, and spirit in its entirety. Your beautiful whole being. What is it holding on to? What are the things that no longer resonate with you? Your breath can help you release, not only tensions that you carry in your body, But also the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and emotions that are no longer serving you. What stresses and tensions can your breath help you to release? What are the thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and emotions are no longer resonate with you? What negative energy can you release from your life? As you inhale deeply, allow your body to be nourished by your breath. As you exhale deeply, give yourself permission to let your breath carry away the tensions and stresses that your body needs to release. As you inhale deeply again, allow your mind to be nourished by your breath. Now as you exhale deeply, give yourself permission to let go of any old thoughts, ideas, emotions, and beliefs that are no longer serving you. As you inhale deeply once again, allow your spirit to be nourished by your breath. And as you exhale deeply, give yourself permission to let go of any negative energy that may be damaging your spirit. As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine your body, mind, and spirit in its entirety. Your beautiful whole being. What are the things that no longer resonate with you? Allow your breath to help you release anything that no longer resonates with your beautiful whole being. * My name is Lesley, and I am the host of Authenblissity Meditations. Authenblissity Meditation Series #4 • Dissolve the Ego

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 6, 2020 10:05

In Episode 4 of this series, we will focus on dissolving the ego, thereby increasing our capacity for gratitude and compassion.. What does it feel like when your ego begins to manifest itself? Sometimes there’s a prickle that starts in your chest or your stomach. Sometimes there’s a sharp pain in your head or in your heart. Your ego is telling you that you’re under attack. It’s time to defend yourself. It’s time to assert your point. You need to respond immediately. You must get the last word. Your ego makes you think everything that someone else does is about you. It makes you question yourself. How can them like me? What if I sound stupid? Are they misunderstanding me? Are they insulting me? Your ego tells you that there are different hierarchies in the world and you better be near the top. To be happy, you need to have a higher paying job. Better education. Smarter friends. A more attractive spouse or partner. You better show yourself having more fun. By puffing yourself up to the external world, your ego makes you feel small. You feel like you have imposter syndrome. You feel like no one understands you. You can’t fill the void with shiny new things any more. You feel like the world is against you. Or perhaps you feel like others are here to serve you. If you’ve reach this point, it’s clear. Your ego has been at your side far too long and it’s time to dissolve it. How do you dissolve this lifelong companion? First, you take a good long look at it. Shine a light on it so it can’t hide. Examine it. Not with fear or loathing but with gentle curiosity. See your ego and recognize that it was trying to make you better, to help you, to protect you. Recognize that it did those things in the only ways it knew how. Look at your ego with gratitude and compassion. Now. Let it go. Tell your ego, it’s ok to rest. Tell your ego, I’ll take it from here. Release your ego and start to feel the emotions that used to be masked by pride or defensiveness. Feel your uncertainty. Feel your fear. Feel your vulnerability. Resist the urge to call your ego back. You’ve got this. Sit with your uncertainty. Sit with your fear. Sit with your vulnerability. Know that these are human emotions. Know that others feel them too. Deeply feel these emotions and let them gently flow through you. As you start to release these emotions, you’re making space for gratitude and compassion. Be thankful for what you have. Feel grateful for the people who care for you. Show appreciation for the little things as well as the big things. Slowly, your ego will fade further and further away. Slowly, you’ll begin to love yourself. Truly love yourself. You’ll no longer be puffing yourself up in proud and egocentric sort of way. Instead, you’ll fully love yourself with kindness, forgiveness, and compassion. You’ll love yourself with quiet confidence. As you continue on this journey, don’t forget to give yourself a hug. Without your ego, you can be content and at peace. *** My name is Lesley, and I am the host of the Authenblissity Meditation Series. The Authenblissity Meditation Series is a series of original guided meditations to cultivate self-awareness, self-development, and self-love. In each meditation, we will focus on developing an aspect of kindness and compassion, towards ourselves and those around us. In Episode 3 of this series, we will focus on receiving love. How often do you feel closed off from love? Are you open to receiving love from those around you? Are you open to receiving love from your parents? Are you open to receiving love from your siblings? Are you open to receiving love from your partner or your spouse? Are you open to receiving love from your extended family? Are you open to receiving love from your friends? Are you open to receiving love from your acquaintances? Are you open to receiving love from your colleagues? Are you open to receiving love from your neighbours? Are you open to receiving love from people you’ve never met? Are you open to receiving love from yourself? What are your love boundaries? Why do they exist? Do you feel the need to protect yourself? Do you feel vulnerable? What is the impact of not being able to receive love? How does it impact your ability to radiate love? To receive love, you must first let go. Let go of judgment. Let go of envy. Let go of anger. Let go of resentment. Let go of guilt. Let go of regret. Let go of the feeling that you’re not worthy of love. Going forward, you may still feel these emotions, but do not hold on to them. Let these emotions pass through you. They do not belong within you. They do not define you. Give yourself permission to release these emotions so you are free to receive love. A bounty of love surrounds you, waiting for you to be open enough to receive it freely. See love all around you. Love is kindness. Love is compassion. Love is forgiveness. Love is acceptance. You are deserving of kindness. You are deserving of compassion. You are deserving of forgiveness. You are deserving of acceptance. You are deserving of love. Leave yourself open to receive love. The love flowing freely towards you from those around you. Leave yourself open to receive love from your parents. Leave yourself open to receive love from your siblings. Leave yourself open to receive love from your partner or your spouse. Leave yourself open to receive love from your extended family. Leave yourself open to receive love from your friends. Leave yourself open to receive love from your acquaintances. The Authenblissity Meditation Series is a series of original guided meditations to cultivate self-awareness, self-development, and self-love. In each meditation, we will focus on developing an aspect of kindness and compassion, towards ourselves and those around us. In Episode 2 of this series, we will focus on radiating love. Love comes from all parts of your being. Your body. Your mind. Your spirit. Your soul. Begin by focusing on the centre of your being. Your heart. Take a moment to concentrate on your heart. Can you feel its beat? Is it beating rapidly? Or slowly? Start to notice any sensations you may be feeling in your heart region. Do you feel pressure? Tightness? Give yourself permission to let go of the stresses of your daily life. Imagine that as your heart is beating, you are radiating love. Each beat of your heart sends love to all parts of your body and outward into the world. From the top of your head. To the tips of your fingers To your baby toes. All parts of your body receive love. Imagine love travelling from your heart in all directions. You have an unlimited supply, so you can radiate love freely. It begins in your heart, and radiates outward. In all directions. At each point, love permeates your body and spills out into the world. But the love hasn’t left you. It is still within you. Its power is so strong that it radiates outward, leaving its mark on you and everything around you. You are a being that radiates love. Your capacity to love others is infinite. Your capacity to love yourself is also infinite. Knowing this, you no longer have to hold onto love. You no longer have to grip it tightly. You are free to radiate love as you were meant to. Give yourself permission to radiate love. You are a being that radiates love. *** My name is Lesley, and I am the host of the Authenblissity Meditation Series. Authenblissity Meditation Series #1 • Let Go of Self-Limiting Beliefs

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 22, 2019 9:49

The Authenblissity Meditation Series is a series of original guided meditations to cultivate self-awareness, self-development, and self-love. In each meditation, we will focus on developing an aspect of kindness and compassion, towards ourselves and those around us. In Episode 1 of this series, we will focus on letting go of self-limiting beliefs. What are the things you tell yourself that either knowingly or unknowingly damage your spirit? Do you tell yourself you’re not good enough? Do you compare yourself to others? Do you use self-deprecating humor? Do you tell yourself you’re stupid, lazy, or hopeless? Whether or not you are using humor, whether or not you mean it, whether or not you believe it… Your spirit doesn’t know the difference. Your spirit can’t distinguish if these words are coming from an external source or your internal voice. If you repeat these harsh words to yourself enough times, your spirit will start to believe them. These self-limiting beliefs manifest themselves and invade your actions. If you tell yourself you’re stupid, perhaps you won’t try as hard to learn a new skill. If you believe yourself to be lazy, perhaps you won’t try to get out of bed or off the couch. If you tell yourself you’re hopeless, perhaps you won’t try at anything at all. What if you instead told yourself: I believe in myself. I am smart. I am filled with motivation. I am productive. I can do anything I set my mind to. I am a good person. I am beautiful. I am loved. From this moment forward, choose kindness and compassion. Be honest with yourself but always remain kind to yourself. It’s ok to have limitations but believe yourself to be intelligent, motivated, and capable of change. You are smart. You are filled with motivation. You are productive. You can do anything you set your mind to. You are a good person. You are beautiful. You are loved. Now imagine yourself as a child. Growing, playing, learning. That child needs encouragement, compassion, and forgiveness. That child needs kindness. That child is not so different now. Your spirit is that child. Nurture the child that remains at your core. Nurture your curiosity, your desire to learn, your desire to grow. Nurture your desire to love and be loved. Nurture yourself with kind words. You are smart. You are filled with motivation. You are productive. You can do anything you set your mind to. You are a good person. You are beautiful. You are loved. *** My name is Lesley, and I am the host of the Authenblissity Meditation Series. Authenblissity is about the journey of self-discovery and self-improvement.
