Senator Tim Scott reflects on the powerful role of faith, personal responsibility, and America’s founding principles in shaping both his life and the nation’s story. Sharing his journey from a childhood in the segregated South to the U.S. Senate, Scott emphasizes the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the importance of prayer and perseverance, and the progress America has made toward justice and equality. Through historical examples and personal insights, he underscores the need for unity around a shared moral foundation rooted in truth, the value of treating others with dignity and love—even amid disagreement—and the responsibility of Christians to live out their faith in the culture - one relationship at a time. The conversation closes with a hopeful vision for spiritual renewal, highlighting signs of revival across the country and encouraging believers to remain steadfast in faith as a source of hope for America’s future. Have you ever noticed how often the mind lives somewhere other than here? Replaying yesterday. Planning tomorrow. Waiting for life to begin. Yet the most extraordinary truth is this: your life is happening now. Today's meditation is centered around the affirmation: "This moment is a gift." Together, we'll explore how mindfulness helps us step out of autopilot and awaken to the beauty, wisdom, and opportunities hidden within ordinary moments. You'll discover why the present moment is the only place where peace can be found, and how a simple shift in awareness can transform the way you experience your day. If you've been feeling rushed, distracted, overwhelmed, or disconnected, this meditation offers a gentle invitation to slow down and come home to yourself. Because the life you've been waiting to enjoy may already be here. Today's affirmation: "This moment is a gift." Take a deep breath, settle into stillness, and let's discover what this moment has been waiting to show you. A DAILY MESSAGE FOR YOUR HEART Dear Friend, What if the moment you've been waiting for isn't in the future? What if it's this one? So often, we rush through our days believing that peace, happiness, or fulfillment will arrive later—when life is less busy, less complicated, or more certain. But life is happening now. Not tomorrow. Not someday. Right here, in this breath, in this moment. Today, I invite you to slow down just enough to notice the gift that's already in front of you. You don't need to change anything or become anyone else. Just be here. Because this moment has never existed before, and it never will again. And perhaps it has something beautiful to offer you. I'm grateful you're here. With love, Mary This is day 2 of a 7-day meditation series, "Mindful Living: 7 Days to Create Better Habits," episodes 2523-2529. In 1970, Dr. Michael Youssef was newly arrived in Sydney with almost nothing—just one hundred borrowed dollars and a humble job at the telephone company. His supervisor noticed something surprising: despite poverty and uncertainty, Dr. Youssef was consistently calm, content, and unshaken. When asked why, Dr. Youssef answered plainly: peace came when he surrendered everything to Christ—plans, goals, finances, circumstances, and even anxiety. But his boss's response reveals the real barrier many face: “I couldn't do that… I could never surrender my will to anyone.” He knew the Gospel and even went to church at times, yet he refused to place God in charge. This devotional confronts a timeless truth: peace is free—you can't earn it or buy it—but it will cost you surrender. You can't clutch control and experience Christ's peace at the same time. The invitation is clear: lay down your weapons, release your grip, and let Jesus lead your life. What He gives in return is the security and calm your heart has been searching for. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know the only way to divine peace is to surrender to You, the God of peace. Help me to never resist Your call to give everything to You. Thank You for the free gift of Your peace. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3). Friends of the Rosary,In today's reading (Matthew 5:38-42), Christ the Lord, in the Sermon on the Mount, exhorts us to nonresistance to evil.By the way, this passage deeply influenced Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.From a Catholic perspective, the ordinary way to face evil and resist demonic attacks is through a deeper union with Christ, and never through fear or engagement with the demonic powers. The Church teaches that Jesus Christ has already conquered Satan through His death and Resurrection (cf. Colossians 2:15).Our strongest spiritual protection is a life rooted in God's grace, remaining in a state of grace.Pray daily and read the Scriptures and Catholic spiritual books. Prayer keeps us close to God and strengthens us against temptation. Especially, The Holy Rosary.Attend Mass regularly, especially on Sundays and, if possible, weekdays.Go to Confession frequently.Receive the Eucharist worthily and with devotion.Strive to avoid serious sin and occasions of sin.Let's not forget that the sacraments are powerful channels of God's grace.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Every meaningful change begins with awareness. Before we can change a habit, improve our health, strengthen a relationship, or reduce stress, we first need to notice what's happening in the present moment. In today's meditation, we'll explore the foundation of mindful living: awareness. This guided meditation will help you slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and lay the foundation for lasting personal growth. Perfect for: • Beginners to mindfulness • Stress reduction • Personal growth • Habit formation • Greater self-awareness • Living with more intention Today's intention: "I cannot change what I do not notice." Let's begin the journey together. A DAILY MESSAGE FOR YOUR HEART: Dear Friend, Welcome. Whether this is your first time meditating or you've walked this path before, I'm grateful you're here. Today marks the beginning of a new journey—not toward becoming someone else, but toward becoming more present with yourself and your life. As we begin, I want to gently remind you that meaningful change doesn't happen all at once. It happens in small moments of awareness. A pause before reacting. A deep breath before rushing ahead. A moment of noticing what you've been too busy to see. You don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need to be perfectly calm. You don't need to meditate perfectly. All you need to do is show up. The fact that you've chosen to spend these few moments caring for yourself tells me something important: there is a part of you that is ready to slow down, listen, and grow. Trust that part of yourself. Over the next seven days, we will take this journey one mindful step at a time. Some days may feel easier than others. Some lessons may resonate deeply, while others quietly plant seeds that bloom later. That's all part of the process. For now, simply allow yourself to be here. Exactly as you are. Exactly where you are. That is enough. And so are you. I'm honored to share this journey with you. With love, Mary This is day 1 of a 7-day meditation series, "Sleep Meditations to Stop Overthinking," episodes 2523-2529. How do you respond to fear—do you withdraw, distract yourself, or try to regain control? In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reminds believers that the right response to fear is neither surrender nor avoidance, but overcoming fear through faith and obedience to God's Word. Scripture paints the picture of a life anchored in trust: the one who puts confidence in the Lord is like a tree planted by water—steady in heat, resilient in drought, and fruitful no matter the season (Jeremiah 17:7–8). Dr. Youssef exposes one of fear's most common roots: the loss of control. Whether it's finances, relationships, health, or the future, we often try to fix fear by tightening our grip—only to discover that control never produces peace. But Jesus offers a different kind of security: “My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). And God promises a sure foundation for those who rely on Him—one that silences panic when everything else shakes (Isaiah 28:16). This devotional will help you trade anxiety for assurance by surrendering your circumstances to the God who is truly in control. Prayer: God, help me to respond to fear with faith in You and obedience to Your Word. Help me to remember that I can rest in You because You are in control. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Today's Reading: Luke 14:15-24Daily Lectionary: Proverbs 14:1-27; John 15:1-11“And at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.' But they all alike began to make excuses.” (Luke 14:17-18a)In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.Have you ever really looked forward to a celebration or a meal? Perhaps it's your birthday - you just KNOW that your mom is going to make your favorite foods and you will get an awesome cake; you cannot contain your excited anticipation for that day. Or maybe it's Thanksgiving - you can't wait to enjoy your grandma's homemade pie and your uncle's stuffing! Look again at the reading for today; a banquet has been prepared. There is literally nothing to do except come! And yet EVERYONE who was invited made excuses. That seems ridiculous. Surely they know a good thing when they are given it - a free banquet! Who says no to that? Well, let's be honest with ourselves. How many Sunday mornings have you wished to just keep sleeping? How many times have you sat in church and thought, “Why is this taking so long?” How often have you skipped Bible study because the teacher is really boring? Repent, dear invited one. You are making excuses. Our Lord prepares a banquet for us - a feast for us - every time we are in the Divine Service. He has equipped and called men to be our pastors; they stand in the stead of Jesus and pronounce our sins forgiven. Our Lord has given us His Word to hear, read, speak, and sing; the Word that points to His mercy and our rescue. He pours out His Blood and sacrifices His Body for our eating and drinking. Indeed, every time we attend church, we are at a banquet! We receive the most perfect, holy, beautiful Gifts from God: we are reminded of His adoption of us in Baptism, we are forgiven of our sins, and we literally feast on Jesus' Body and Blood for our salvation. Maybe you are still going to drag yourself to church, hurt, broken, and tired from the week. God's Gifts don't depend on how you feel about them - they are real and they are yours. Attend the banquet. Receive the feast that has been prepared for you. Rest where you are safe, holy, and loved. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.O Lord, since You never fail to help and govern those whom You nurture in Your steadfast fear and love, work in us a perpetual fear and love of Your holy name; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. Deac. Sarah Longmire, Curricula Curator for Higher Things and Director of Family Life at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit, MO.

Tonight marks the completion of our first week together. Over the past six days, we've explored awareness, letting go, acceptance, trust, compassion, and balance. These aren't simply ideas to understand—they are experiences to embody. In tonight's meditation, we'll reflect on the journey you've already taken and explore the theme of embodiment: allowing wisdom to move from the mind into the body and heart. You'll discover why neuroscience suggests lasting change happens through repetition and experience rather than insight alone, learn an ancient teaching about living wisdom rather than collecting it, and hear a relatable story about someone who spent years searching for peace before realizing it had been within them all along. As your body relaxes and your thoughts settle, you'll be invited to stop striving for growth and simply become the calm you've been practicing. Perfect for: Overthinking at bedtime Anxiety and mental restlessness Reflecting on personal growth Deep relaxation and restorative sleep Ending the week with peace and gratitude A DAILY MESSAGE FOR YOUR HEART Dear Friend, Tonight marks one week of showing up for yourself. Before anything else, I hope you'll pause for a moment and acknowledge that. So often we focus on how far we still have to go that we forget to honor how far we've already come. Over the past week, you've practiced awareness, letting go, acceptance, trust, compassion, and balance. Maybe some nights felt easier than others. Maybe your mind still wandered. Maybe sleep didn't come as quickly as you hoped. That's okay. Growth rarely happens in dramatic moments. More often, it happens quietly—in the small choices we make again and again. The choice to return to our breath. The choice to be gentle with ourselves. The choice to keep showing up. Tonight isn't about learning something new. It's about recognizing what is already growing within you. You don't need to become someone different to find peace. You simply need to trust what you're already becoming. I'm grateful you've shared this journey with me. And I'm so glad you're here. With love, Mary This is day 7 of a 7-day meditation series, "Sleep Meditations to Stop Overthinking," episodes 3521-3527. THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY A Seven-Day Journey into Rest, Release, and Inner Calm When the day grows quiet, the mind can become surprisingly loud. This seven-day guided sleep meditation series is designed to help you gently step out of repetitive thinking, release the mental weight of the day, and create a more peaceful transition into sleep. Each evening introduces a different calming practice, including visualization, affirmations, slow breathing, mudra, chakra meditation, layered relaxation, and a Yoga Nidra–inspired weekly review. Together, these practices guide you through a soothing emotional journey: Release. Rest. Ground. Protect. Nurture. Balance. Embody. Throughout the series, you'll explore a blend of modern mindfulness, gentle nervous-system support, ancient yogic wisdom, reflective storytelling, and compassionate encouragement. This is not about forcing your mind to become blank or making sleep happen on command. It is about changing the way you relate to your thoughts—learning to notice them without following every one, softening the urge to solve everything at night, and allowing your body to remember how to rest. Over the course of the week, you'll be invited to: Release unfinished thoughts and worries Give yourself permission to rest Ground your awareness in the breath and body Create a sense of emotional safety at bedtime Meet overthinking with compassion instead of criticism Bring multiple calming practices together Reflect on what helps you feel most peaceful and supported Each episode also includes a daily reflection question and a supportive Message for Your Heart to help you carry the practice beyond the meditation. You do not need to finish every thought tonight. You do not need to solve tomorrow before it arrives. Let this series become a gentle evening ritual—a place to set down the day, quiet the mind, and return to yourself. Press play, settle into a comfortable position, and begin your seven-day journey toward deeper rest and a calmer relationship with your thoughts. We may wish maturity came instantly, but the truth is simple: growth takes work—and it requires patience, persistence, and sacrifice. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef compares spiritual formation to athletic training: no champion wins by coasting, and no believer grows into Christlikeness without intentional discipline. Paul described his own commitment clearly—he refused to run aimlessly or fight without purpose. Instead, he practiced self-control so he would not be disqualified from the prize (1 Corinthians 9:26–27). Dr. Youssef warns that when we stop stretching, we don't stay neutral—we stagnate. And when we choose deliberate disobedience, it reveals pride. But choosing obedience is the mark of humility, and God promises real fruit from that posture—riches, honor, and life (Proverbs 22:4). This devotional also reassures you that submission is not weakness. When you humble yourself under God's mighty hand, He will lift you up in His timing—and you can cast every anxiety on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6–7). As you trust His plan, even when it seems impossible, God will grow you to heights only He knew you could reach. Prayer: Lord, help me resist the temptation to do what looks easiest and instead always obey Your voice. Strengthen me that I may fulfill Your work. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:38). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. LEARN HOW TO JOURNALSPEAK In this episode, we dive into what it really means to move through life in alignment, especially when stress, symptoms, anxiety, and overwhelm are all trying to pull you into fear. I share a recent experience from my own life, during a season of major transition, travel, work, family milestones, and my youngest child graduating high school, when a strange new neuropathy-like sensation showed up in my face. Instead of spiraling, Dr. Googling (or Dr. ChatGPTing!), or giving the symptom a terrifying meaning, I used it as an opportunity to practice the work in real time: pausing, noticing, refusing to meet it with fear, and asking what my body might actually be trying to communicate. What came through was not danger, but a need for tenderness, self-compassion, and a gentler way of being with myself. I also share the story of sitting with a dear friend who is struggling with POTS, chronic fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and intense nervous system symptoms, and what happened when she was willing to meet those sensations differently. Rather than collapse into the first reaction of terror, she practiced sitting up, letting the symptoms be there, and discovering that uncomfortable does not have to mean unsafe. This episode is about the life-changing power of the pause between your first reaction and your second one. Your first reaction may be a reflex, shaped by everything you have lived, but your second reaction is where your agency lives. When we stop running from symptoms and begin meeting them with curiosity, compassion, and steadiness, we teach the nervous system that we are safe. Join us! XOOX n. I invite you to consider the gentle middle path between effort and surrender. Many of us carry the weight of unfinished tasks, unanswered questions, and endless mental to-do lists into bed. But sleep does not arrive through more effort. It arrives when we allow ourselves to rest in balance. In this episode, you'll discover a fascinating insight from neuroscience about the brain's nighttime processing systems, learn an ancient wisdom teaching about the importance of rhythm and moderation, and hear a relatable story about someone learning that not every problem needs to be solved before sleep. As your body softens and your mind quiets, you'll be guided into a peaceful state where balance replaces striving, allowing sleep to come naturally. Perfect for: Racing thoughts at bedtime Anxiety and overthinking Difficulty letting go of unfinished tasks Deep relaxation and restful sleep A DAILY MESSAGE FOR YOUR HEART Dear Friend, As we arrive at Day 6 of our journey together, I want to remind you of something important: You do not have to carry everything. So many of us believe that if we think a little harder, plan a little better, or stay awake a little longer, we'll finally find peace. But peace isn't found by doing more. Sometimes it's found by allowing ourselves to stop. Tonight's theme is balance. Balance isn't having everything figured out. It's knowing when to set things down and trust that tomorrow is another day. If your heart feels heavy tonight, give yourself permission to release the pressure to solve every problem before sleep. The unfinished tasks can wait. The unanswered questions can wait. You have done enough for today. You deserve rest, not because everything is complete, but because you are human. As you listen tonight, may you find the balance between effort and surrender, between doing and simply being. I'm so glad you're here. With love, Mary This is day 6 of a 7-day meditation series, "Sleep Meditations to Stop Overthinking," episodes 3521-3527. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: THE NIGHTSTAND SURRENDER RITUAL Each night, write the thought taking up the most mental space. Fold the paper, place it in a small bowl or box beside your bed, and say: "This thought may rest here while I rest." Revisit the notes only during daylight. On today's Flyover Conservatives Show, we sit down with Dr. Troy Spurrill to discuss the health stories raising major questions across America — from sleep, stress, and HRV to RFK Jr.'s comments on vaccines, autism, and the Hepatitis B shot, plus the shocking report of an NIH Ebola expert allegedly caught smuggling dangerous pathogens. Dr. Spurrill breaks down why so many healthcare workers are frustrated with the current system, what functional medicine looks like, how parents can ask better questions, and why sleep may be one of the most overlooked keys to healing. This conversation covers medical freedom, Big Pharma, RFK Jr., gain-of-function concerns, sleep tracking, REM sleep, deep sleep, and the growing movement to restore common sense, clean data, and personal responsibility in healthcare.TO WATCH ALL FLYOVER CONTENT: www.theflyoverapp.com Follow and Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheFlyoverConservativesShow To Schedule A Time To Talk To Dr. Dr. Kirk Elliott Go To ▶ https://flyovergold.comOr Call 720-605-3900 ► Receive your FREE 52 Date Night Ideas Playbook to make date night more exciting, go to www.prosperousmarriage.comDr. Troy Spurrill is the founder and CEO of Synapse Center for Health and Healing. In this episode of the Healing the Mind and Brain series, Kathy DeGraw teaches how neuroplasticity, prayer, biblical declarations, and renewing the mind can help retrain the brain and bring hope to families seeking healing. Kathy shares with compassion that there is no shame, guilt, or condemnation for those with a diagnosis. Instead, she encourages believers to come out of agreement with labels that limit identity and begin declaring the truth of God's Word over the mind, brain, and neurological system. You will learn how sensory processing, overstimulation, repetitive thought patterns, and neural pathways affect behavior, focus, learning, attention, and regulation. Kathy also teaches practical spiritual tools including audible prayer, calming strategies, worship, rest, daily routine, and taking authority over diagnoses in Jesus' name. **Connect with Us** - Website: https://www.kathydegrawministries.org/ - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kathydegraw/ - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kathydegraw/ Podcast - Subscribe to our YouTube channel and listen to Kathy's Podcast called Prophetic Spiritual Warfare, or on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/show/3mYPPkP28xqcTzdeoucJZu or Apple podcasts at https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/prophetic-spiritual-warfare/id1474710499 **Recommended Resources:** - Receive a free prayer pdf on The Power of your Words at https://www.kathydegrawministries.org/declarations-download/ - Receive a free prayer pdf on Anointing Oil at https://www.kathydegrawministries.org/anointingoil/ - Kathy's training, mentoring and e-courses on Spiritual Warfare, Deliverance and the Prophetic: https://training.kathydegrawministries.org/ - Healed At Last ~ Overcome Sickness and Receive your Physical Healing: https://www.kathydegrawministries.org/healed-at-last/ - Mind Battles – Root Out Mental Triggers to Release Peace!: https://www.kathydegrawministries.org/product/mind-battles-pre-order-available-january-2023/ -Kathy has several books available on Amazon or kathydegrawministries.org **Support Kathy DeGraw Ministries:** - Give a one-time love offering or consider partnering with us for $15, $35, $75 or any amount! A breathtaking monastery perched on a cliff in Portugal offers a stunning view—but reaching it requires being hoisted in a wicker basket by an aged monk. When a nervous visitor asked how often the rope was replaced, the monk replied, “Each time the old rope breaks.” That answer captures the dread many people live with every day: the fear that everything could collapse at any moment. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef confronts that kind of anxiety—fear, doubt, and worry that can paralyze even believers. The liberating Truth is this: God holds the rope of your life. His protection is not flimsy, and His care is not distracted. Nothing is strong enough to pull you out of His shelter. Dr. Youssef anchors this encouragement in Scripture: nothing—trouble, hardship, persecution, danger—can separate you from the love of Christ, and in Him you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:35, 37). Jesus also assures us that the Father's care is so detailed that even the hairs on our head are numbered—and we are worth far more than sparrows (Matthew 10:30–31). When anxiety rises, pause and remember: God is aware of you, He loves you, and He has purpose for your days. Seek first His Kingdom, trust Him fully, and ask Him to teach you to number your days with wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Prayer: Lord, thank You that You have a wonderful plan for all my days. I lay my fear and anxiety down before You and receive Your peace today. May I serve Your Kingdom purposes with my every breath and know the joy of living for You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “[D]o not worry about your life, . . . Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:25-26). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Youssef's sermon series Psalms of Deliverance: LISTEN NOW The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. Place a hand over your heart. It's time to be gentle with yourself as you turn in for the evening. Visualize a soft green or rose-colored light, and respond to worried thoughts with warmth instead of criticism. You'll also hear an approachable explanation of self-compassion, ancient yogic wisdom connected to the heart center, and a relatable story about setting down the need to remain constantly on watch. Tonight's practice is not about forcing the mind to become silent. It is about reassuring the part of you that has been working so hard to protect you. Let this meditation help you soften emotional tension, feel more supported within yourself, and prepare for peaceful rest. Tonight's reflection question: What might my overthinking be trying to protect me from, and what reassurance does that part of me need tonight? Daily Message for Your Heart "I want to remind you that you are not doing anything wrong because your mind feels busy. Sometimes overthinking is simply a tired part of you trying to feel safe. Tonight, meet that part with kindness instead of criticism. Place a hand over your heart and gently say: "I am here with you. You do not have to keep watch. We can rest now." You do not need every answer tonight. You are doing the best you can, and you are worthy of rest exactly as you are." This is day 5 of a 7-day meditation series, "Sleep Meditations to Stop Overthinking," episodes 3521-3527. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: THE NIGHTSTAND SURRENDER RITUAL Each night, write the thought taking up the most mental space.
