Blessed 2b Blended

There is a Good and a Bad side to everything. I never want to leave the thought of Blended Families as all sunflowers and Roses. There are some real issue that hurt real people and can cause real damage. In this episode I talk about those very things. This is when we flip the coin and end on tail. But we use it as a learning tool to understand the everyone has flaws. I use the accronym FLAW and remind myself that Flawed Love Also Wins. You should always remember that too. No one and nothing is perfect. We all have a flaw or more than one flaws but at the end of the day Flawed Love Also Wins.

Our world changed on October 28, 2021. We didn't see it coming. The man we loved and looked up to…the Gentle Giant…the Greatest Girl Dad, said goodbye to life on this side. Here are my initial thoughts. A full episode will be coming soon.

Women are Powerful. Not only do we see this in politics and on the job, but they are the glue that keeps our communities together. What is it about women that makes it seem like our accomplishments have to separate us and not bring us together. We need to be adjusting crowns instead of tearing them down. Women are complex creatures and in this episode, my Bestie Ty and I try to sort our some of the how's and why's of women. In the end a Woman must know herself in order to be successful in anything especially in relationships. This is Girl Talk 2.

Young people ARE getting married and with the rate of single moms, single dads, baby mommas and baby daddy's there is a great chance they will marry someone who has a child. The stereotype is the new girl and old girl must hate each other and the new guy and old guy must almost come to blows. I know a group of Millennials who have broken the mold.

This blended family stuff is HARD. No one comes into this knowing exactly what to expect. What you do know is you love your significant other and the children did not ask to be in the middle of all of this. All too often there are times when it seems you are doing everything correct and then WTF! In this episode, Rose talks about the challenges of loving her fiancé and his daughter and in the middle of adversity trying to hold the Modern Family together. It seemed as though everyone was in a great place and then all of a sudden...boom!

I was honored to have my partner in life and in love join me today to share his perspective on our blended family.  Both of us come from blended families and our experiences were extremely different. We will discuss our differences, our challenges and where we are now. 

In this Episode I sit down with my very best friend and we chop it up about the lessons life has taught us that have made us who we are today.  It is a good thing we don't look like what we've been through because...HUNTY!!! But we know what does not kill us, helps us become Crown Adjusters.  Are you bitter or are you out here adjusting crowns after life's situations may have shifted yours.  Breath and take a moment to experience family and love. My sisters and I navigate the conversation about the blended family. It has been a different and similar experience for all of us. Now each of us are navigating our own version of a family as we continue to feed the love into our blended family. I wanted to start this podcast because I realized my family is getting in right. I'm a second-generation blended family kid who has a kid who now is in a blended family. There are not many references on the blended family. There are parenting references and the rights of Mothers and Fathers and how they should be fair in raising children, but fair does not equate to love. We are going to have a fun and interesting exchange to start this movement.

Blended Families can be successful if everyone puts things in proper perspective. #blessed2bblended
