What Helped Me Trust My Team, Protect My Energy, and Step Into True Leadership I'll be honest—this conversation with Patrick Lencioni shook me (in the best way). If you've ever felt like running your business is way harder than it should be, or like you're carrying the weight of every single task on your back, this episode is going to be a game changer. Patrick introduces his powerful framework called the Six Types of Working Genius. It helped me understand why certain parts of my business drain me, and why trying to be “good at everything” was actually slowing me down. In this episode, we explore how to build a team that complements your strengths, how to identify the work that energizes you, and why letting go doesn't mean losing control—it means finally creating the business you thought you were building all along. If you're tired of feeling stretched thin, second-guessing your hires, or silently resenting tasks that suck the life out of you, this one's for you. HERE ARE THE 3 KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS EPISODE: 1️⃣ Your Genius Isn't What You're Good At—It's What Energizes You – Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Patrick explains how working in your genius fuels your joy, while living in your “competency” or “frustration” zones can quickly burn you out. 2️⃣ You Weren't Meant to Do It All—And That's Not a Flaw, It's the Fix – We dive into how trying to wear every hat as your business grows actually holds you back. The magic starts when you let your team do what they do best so you can lead from where you thrive. 3️⃣ Self-Awareness Is the Shortcut to Better Hires, Better Systems & Better Leadership – This framework isn't another personality quiz like Enneagram or Myers Briggs. It's a strategic tool that helps you make smarter hires, build a team that fits, and finally stop micromanaging things that were never yours to own. Less than 2% of homes survived the devastating LA fires, and they all share one critical feature that most builders ignore.Four months after the LA fires destroyed over 16,000 homes across 50,000 acres, a clear pattern has emerged among the few structures left standing. I've been analyzing what separates the homes that survived from the thousands that burned to the ground. So let's chat about it, because the answer may not by what you expect. The common denominator isn't expensive fire-resistant materials or elaborate sprinkler systems. It's the attic design. While most homes burned from the inside out due to their ventilated attics acting like wind tunnels that pulled in fire embers and fueled the flames, the surviving homes had sealed, non-combustible attics that prevented embers from entering and eliminated the airflow that feeds fires. This isn't just a California problem. Ventilated attics create issues in every climate zone, from ice damming in freezing climates to mold problems in humid areas. In today's episode, we're chatting about: • Why ventilated attics act as fire accelerants during wildfires • The specific design features that saved homes in both LA and Laguna Beach fires • How sealed attics solve problems beyond fire resistance in every climate • Why retrofitting existing homes requires careful architectural planning • The construction cost considerations and performance benefits of sealed attics

Judge Thomas G. Moukawsher is a Connecticut complex litigation judge and former lawyer, legislator and lobbyist. He is the author of “The Common Flaw: Needless Complexity in the Courts and 50 Ways to Reduce it.”    President Trump has consistently tried to delegitimize the courts, which is weakening our democracy and deteriorating the Rule of Law.    For decades, the international community has looked to the US to promote democracy and establish functional legal systems, especially with the ICC, ICJ, and human rights treaties.    The Trump Administration may possibly use Gunboat Diplomacy and manifest destiny   regarding the Panama Canal, Greenland and Canada. War on Terror   legislation allowed the President to take aggressive, and possibly illegal action. The NATO Treaty requires Greenland and Canada be defended if attacked; therefore, Democrats, Republicans and the Judiciary need a united front to protect the Rule of Law and rescue US international prestige which is plummeting worldwide.

Ransomware Hits SMBs Hard, Google OAuth Exploited, Gladinet's Security Flaw, and AI Scraping Issues

Ransomware attacks targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) have reached alarming levels, with a recent UK government survey revealing that 1% of organizations reported such incidents, affecting approximately 19,000 entities. This marks a significant increase from the previous year, highlighting a troubling trend where nation-state actors are increasingly focusing on SMBs due to their often inadequate cybersecurity measures. The survey also indicates a decline in board-level cybersecurity responsibility, with only 27% of businesses having a cyber specialist on their board, down from 38% four years ago. As the frequency of ransomware incidents decreases, the cost per incident is rising, emphasizing the need for resilience-focused security measures. In addition to ransomware, a vulnerability in Google's OAuth system has been exploited by phishers to create sophisticated attacks that mimic legitimate emails from Google. This DKIM replay phishing attack allows hackers to bypass security checks, making it difficult for users to detect scams. A notable case involved a developer receiving a fraudulent email that appeared to be a legitimate security alert. This incident underscores the importance of updating security awareness training, as traditional methods may not adequately prepare users for such advanced phishing techniques.Another significant security concern arose from a flaw in Gladinet's Centristack file-sharing platform, which allows remote code execution due to a deserialization issue linked to hard-coded cryptographic keys. This vulnerability has already been exploited in multiple cases, raising alarms within the cybersecurity community. Gladinet has advised customers to upgrade or change their keys to mitigate potential threats. Additionally, Microsoft acknowledged a flaw in its Intune device management tool that inadvertently allowed unauthorized Windows 11 upgrades, prompting organizations to revert affected devices. On a different note, Wikipedia has partnered with Kaggle to create a machine-readable dataset of its content for training AI models, addressing the challenges posed by content scraping. This initiative aims to manage the rising costs associated with non-human traffic while protecting contributors' rights under Creative Commons licensing. Meanwhile, concerns have emerged regarding the impact of AI on human intelligence, with studies indicating that reliance on AI tools may inhibit critical thinking skills, particularly among younger users. As organizations navigate the complexities of AI integration, the need for resilient systems that can adapt to these changes becomes increasingly critical. Four things to know today 00:00 Ransomware Evolves: Targeting Improves, Board Accountability Wanes, and SMBs Face Growing Geopolitical Risk03:32 Secure by Default?
