Gratitude doesn't mean pretending that the hard stuff isn't there. Today, Cristabelle guides us through Psalm 116. This psalm shows us that we can be real and vulnerable. So many of us have gone through deep sorrow and suffering. I don't know all of your stories, but I do know that most of you are survivors. You have survived something and God saved your life. You have a beating heart right now because God has a plan for you. But every day still can be so hard. Even in the middle of that pain, we can still give God praise and thanksgiving for who He is and what He has done. We must learn to give thanks with intention. Not just when things are going well, but even in the middle of our pain and suffering. This is the second audio devotion in the series "A Grateful Heart". A GRATEFUL HEART: PSALM 116 PRACTICAL APPLICATION 1. Journal some of the struggles you have been going through lately. Just below that, journal some of the things you are thankful for. 2. Pray over what you have just written down. Intentionally ask God to help you with the struggles, and then intentionally thank God for the blessings! 3. Share your brain injury story with one person this week. Include the things you are thankful for, and give God the glory for bringing you this far. ✨This podcast is an extension of the Brain Injury Bible Study ministry: get involved at https://www.BrainInjuryBibleStudy.com Free Online Bible Study for Brain Injury/Concussion Survivors & Caregivers | Led by award-winning TBI survivor, advocate, and singer/songwriter, Cristabelle Braden, M.A.T.S. Let's talk about how fatigue affects us physically, neurologically, and emotionally, and some tips on what to do when dealing with fatigue in the storms. We will also go over Reminders of Truth and encouragement for when we are growing weary. [Hope in the Storm - Session 5]
Do you ever feel just so overwhelmed that you have no idea how to pray or what to say? Today we are going to learn how prayer connects us with God to find peace and hope in the storm.
We don't always understand how or why things happen and storms come, but we can trust that Jesus is with us and taking care of us in the middle of it all. Today we're diving into the miracle of Jesus calming the storm as found in Mark 4 and Luke 8.
Having a brain injury, it can feel like a huge storm in our life that is out of control. But we can have confidence in knowing that God is greater than any storm we face, and He is with us through it.
Let's talk about how we define HOPE and how we define the STORM on today's introduction to our series: "Hope in the Storm" [Hope in the Storm: Session 1] Hope doesn't happen instead of the storm, or instead of the dark. Hope shines through the storm. We might not be able to find hope on our own. But Jesus is the one who can bring true hope to us in the middle of the storm.
