Danny talks about how camp has made an impact on his life, and why he loves serving at camp. This week's episode is with Mikayla Fish a long time summer staff at Frontier Staff. Mikayla grew up as a camp, then became a jr. staffer, and is starting her 4th summer as a staff member in 2 weeks. We talked about camp drama, why camp is so special, and what she is looking forward to being on staff this summer.
This week Christian interviews Josh Lund. Josh has been a long time Frontier Ranch summer staffer, and currently an intern at Mission Springs. Josh shares about his experience as a summer staffer, and how the transition into an intern has been going. Josh talks a bit about camp relationships and goes into details about the theme song for this podcast "Hello Mr. Bear."
After a week off Christian returns with a solo podcast. He talks about how in this season of ministry he is experiencing loneliness, and being under appreciated. Camping Ministry is a hard job and often times the impact on peoples lives isn't seen. Christian processes through a lot of what he is feeling in hopes to let other leaders know that this "work" we call ministry is hard.
Episode 6 - Charles "Chuck" Warne In this week's episode Christian interviews his own brother about the power of camp. Charles talks about his summers at Pondy and how influential that time at camp was. He became known as "Chuck" and camp felt like home each summer he went. We explore why camp meant so much to us, and how it has stuck with us to this day.
This week Christian sits down with the Pastor of High Street church Danny Wallen. They talk about how hard it can be to make the leap between church and camping ministry, and from camping ministry back into church ministry. *Please forgive the audio there was an echo in the room we recorded in, and I didn't find out until I was editing.
Episode 4 - Jack of all trades This week Christian sits down with a camp veteran...Bill Walton. Bill has done just about everything in camping ministry. From counselor, trail bike instructor, camp director, and now marketing. Christian and Bill talk about perspective after all these years of ministry, and how to stay passionate about camping ministry no matter the role you are in.
