It's the classic tale of the tortoise and the hare—should you chase quick wins or commit to steady, long-term growth? In a world where viral trends and overnight successes seem to dominate in this age of “tik-tok stars”, trusting the process of patience and perseverance can feel challenging. Today, Greg and I explore this topic, sharing key mindset strategies to help prioritize both business and life, especially for those at mid-career or the halftime of life, with a focus on the bigger picture. They emphasize the importance of developing a consistent process, being diligent, and trusting the process rather than chasing overnight success. They use examples from sports and business to illustrate how steady progress often leads to more sustainable success than trying to score big wins all the time. The conversation highlights the value of experience and skills gained over time, especially for those in mid-career or at the "halftime" of life. They advise listeners to develop a plan for reasonable growth, stick to it, and not get distracted by the allure of instant success stories often seen on social media.
Through the first six parts of Deep Church, We've discussed ways to grow deeper roots in Christ so that we can be representatives of a healthy church. It's difficult to grow if we don't know how to. Today, we seek to help believers understand what growth looks like, what helps us grow, and what slows it. It's all about trusting the process.
Welcome back for Season 3 of The Big Home Ed Conversations. Kelly Rigg, Founder of Offroading Motherhood and Ashley Vanerio, fellow home educator and mum of 3 discuss the struggle that is trusting the process, believing all will come right in the end when we have spent our lives being told what success looks like and how many different ways we can 'fail'. Home education is an opportunity to love learning as a process, but we need to know when to tend to that learning and when to let it go wild. In this message, Pastor Russ unpacks how Jesus moves through every step of our journey, meeting us where we are, breaking chains, and uniting His people.
What if your season of waiting isn't a setback, but a setup for something greater? In the final installment of The Book of James series, Pastor Travis delivers a powerful and hope-filled message: waiting time is not wasted time. When we're waiting—on healing, breakthrough, purpose, or a promise—we often feel like nothing is happening. But the truth is, God is working behind the scenes, refining us, strengthening our faith, and preparing us for what's next. Just like a farmer patiently waits for the harvest, trusting the unseen process, we too must trust that God's timing is perfect. Through the stories of Joseph, Habakkuk, and Hannah, Pastor Travis reminds us that every great move of God is preceded by a season of waiting. And just like lifting heavy weights builds strength, the weight of trials is actually building us up, not breaking us down. Jesus Himself carried the ultimate weight—the cross—showing us that even our heaviest burdens have purpose. You don't have to carry them alone. There is power in trusting God, in community, and in prayer. If you're in a season of waiting, don't lose hope—your miracle, your breakthrough, your harvest is coming. Don't miss this message. It might just change the way you see waiting forever.

Ever wonder how an immigrant from Taiwan with no homeschooling experience became a passionate advocate for classical education? In this heartfelt conversation, Delise speaks with Yating Haller, a book representative for Classical Conversations (CC) in Central Indiana and homeschool mom of seven years. Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, Yating shares her remarkable journey from fearful beginner to confident homeschool educator. The episode concludes with an important clarification about the phrase "trust the process" in classical education, emphasizing that it refers to trusting the natural learning progression (the trivium) rather than blindly following a curriculum. https://www.facebook.com/dragonflyhaller/ https://www.instagram.com/cccentralindiana/ Parent Practicum events are hosted around the globe each year, inspiring and equipping parents to become better “everyday educators.” Combining the encouragement of community, integration of ideas, and practice with the classical skills, Parent Practicum is a once-a-year parent investment. Matt "Money" Smith and Lorenzo Neal go LIVE from the road to break down the Chargers' free agency moves. With fans anxious over the team's quiet start, they emphasize Jim Harbaugh's patient approach, prioritizing re-signing key players like Rashawn Slater over big-name splashes. Key takeaways: O-Line Concerns: The market for linemen is skyrocketing, making deals tricky. Skill Positions: The team explored trades for DK Metcalf and Davante Adams but didn't land them. TE Evan Engram is still a possibility. RB Room: Najee Harris adds durability and power, but a draft pick at RB is still likely. Defense: Led by Harbaugh and Minter, the unit remains solid with Khalil Mack, Derwin James, and Junior Colson returning.

Send us a message here. What if your life purpose isn't just one single destination, but rather the entire journey and all its unexpected twists? After finally reading The Alchemist—a book my estranged father gave me nearly two decades ago—I've had a profound realization about what it means to discover and pursue your "personal legend."Most of us put immense pressure on ourselves to identify that one perfect calling or purpose. But what I'm learning is that our personal legends evolve and shift throughout our lives. Every role I've ever played—from housekeeper to musician to coach to podcast host—has been a crucial chapter in my story, teaching me skills I couldn't have learned any other way.The synchronicity can be mind-blowing when you commit to your personal legend. Just days after deciding to return to music after years away, my original drummer—someone I hadn't seen in years—unexpectedly reappeared in my life. These aren't coincidences; they're confirmation that everything truly is "written by the same hand."When you declare that you want a big, abundant life, understand that this requires making space—and sometimes that means things will fall apart first. These moments feel like tests, and how you respond to them shapes your journey. Will you pass the test? Will you trust the process even when it's uncomfortable?Your personal legend might not be one single thing but rather a beautiful tapestry of all your gifts, passions, and experiences. Don't limit yourself to one lane or identity when you have multiple forms of expression within you. Life is too short for regret and wondering "what if." Raise your hand, ask the question, try the thing—and trust that it's all working out for you, even when it doesn't feel like it in the moment. What's your personal legend calling you to do? Whatever it is, know that the journey itself—not just the destination—is where you'll find your treasure.Grab your copy of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho on Amazon here.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEDisclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. In this 11 minute episode, I explore the transformative belief that nothing in life is a coincidence and that everything is happening for us, not to us. By viewing the universe as a supportive, divinely guided force, we can approach challenges and delays with calm and trust, creating a more grounded experience of reality.I share two personal stories from a recent trip to Thailand—losing keys and forgetting a bag—that highlight how trusting the process and maintaining a regulated state can shift our experience from panic to peace. These stories illustrate the power of our beliefs in shaping our reactions and the importance of choosing perspectives that serve us.If you've ever felt overwhelmed by life's curveballs, this episode will inspire you to reframe your perspective, trust the timing of your journey, and take inspired action from a place of calm and alignment.♾ In a fast-paced world like the one we live in, time is one of our most important assets. Sticking to goals is easy when motivation is high—but what happens when that initial spark fades? In the third installment of our goal-setting series, Deirdre and Damion explore how to stay connected to your goals by digging into the why behind them. They discuss the difference between setting goals for external validation versus personal fulfillment and how aligning with your deeper purpose leads to lasting progress. They also break down the role of self-awareness in navigating change and how external feedback can reveal blind spots, strengths, and unexpected opportunities. By paying attention to both internal motivation and outside perspective, you can gain a clearer picture of what truly matters and adjust your path with confidence. Finally, they discuss the art of letting go—learning to trust the bigger picture, even when things don't go as planned. Whether you're questioning a goal or facing setbacks, this episode offers a refreshing take on staying flexible, focused, and connected to what really drives you.

Be prepared to trust the process. When you start a business, you're filled with ambition, high hopes, and excitement about your idea. You imagine instant success, skyrocketing straight to the top. But in reality, for most people—including nearly everyone I've interviewed on my podcast—it doesn't work out that way. Mistakes happen, unexpected challenges arise, and many ideas don't pan out. There are countless unknowns, and the journey is rarely as smooth as you expect. No one wants to hear this in the beginning, and it's easy to believe you'll be the exception. But in truth, embracing the process is essential.
