It’s been 27 years since 14 year old Marcia LeBlanc went missing and her 17-year-old boyfriend Marcel Cormier was found dead in his fathers truck. The man police suspected of the murder and abduction goes missing the day after he was questioned. It took nearly a year before Marcia’s remains were discovered by a hunter and even then, her parents were not convinced Marcia was dead. In this episode, I go into the details of this case and the theories behind the murders of Marcia and Marcel as well as the disappearance of the suspect. In 2007, a small, safe town in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba is rattled when it’s reported a woman has been brutally murdered in her home after celebrating Halloween. Who could have done such a terrible thing to a loving mother and grandmother? The family still doesn’t have answers. A special thanks to Donna Wettlaufer for speaking with me in regard to her sister’s murder. I appreciate her taking time out of her day to relive the painful memories of this tragic event. Over the past few decades, thousands of indigenous women went missing or were murdered in Canada. Mary Rose Keadjuk was one of them. She disappeared from the capital of the Northwest Territories in 1990 but the case wasn’t deemed a homicide until 13 years after she went missing. It took multiple years and tests to figure out a small remain belonged to the young woman. Listen to the episode to find out more details. From my hometown of Eastern Passage, NS, I am exploring the strange disappearance of a young woman who vanished into thin air on an early September evening in 1999. She and her vehicle have never been found and it’s been over 21 years since she was last spotted. What could’ve happened to her? I’ll explore the theories.
This is an interesting case from Newfoundland. The murder of a couple has gone unsolved for 27 years. They were missing for 13 years before someone came forward with vital information on their whereabouts. Was this the killer or is there more to the story? There was an arrest and conviction but no one has been charged with the first degree murder of the couple, so the case still remains cold. The following episode will highlight key evidence found and a confession of sorts. Please rate, review, and subscribe on whatever platform you are listening to this podcast on. There is one outstanding cold case homicide for the province of Prince Edward Island. The murder of Byron Carr has gone unsolved for 32 years. He was found dead in his apartment with little to suggest who had committed the crime. Was there just one person involved or more? The case was reopened 19 years after the murder and remains open to this day. The following episode will highlight key evidence found and a twist.
