Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!   I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Michelle: Hi Dr. Cabral! Thank you for ALL that you do! During the summer I hardly use my sauna because I'm sweating most days between early morning runs (super humid here), trail maintenance, trail runs, afternoon walks, etc. I'm sure I'm missing out on other benefits of using the sauna, however? Should I still be incorporating a 20-30 minute sauna 4-5 days per week?       Jackie: My husband has mcas, and has full body itch/flush triggered by temperature change, loud stimulus and is hyper sensitive to smell/light. We tried histpro and vitamin C and it made his symptoms much worse by day 3 we stopped after day 5 and it took about a week to go back to his baseline. Any thoughts as to what happened? He Wants to do 21 day detox but really struggles to keep weight on as it is staying above 9% bf is a challenge . For context eats auto immune paleo,no alcohol and strength training is light to moderate 4 days /week.for over a decade. If you had to estimate what % of the benefit that comes from a 21 day detox is attributed to the 2 day fast and reduced calories?       Trish: Good morning! QQ on women's health post-menopausal. Somewhat intimate question listeners for small children. Your opinion please on using a low dosage of women's estrogen vaginal cream to help keep the vagina tissues from thinning etc.. Thank you in advance. You are an amazing human being and are so appreciated for all you do to help us with longevity and aging gracefully.       Richard: Hi Dr. Cabral, my question is on the origins of AYU medicine, I hope thats ok. I have always been fascinated with our ancient history & am wondering which civilization came up with AYU medicine. Was it the Indus Valley Civilization? You mention the system is at least 6k years old but the earliest dates of the IVC I can find are around 3300BC. Its widely accepted that Sumer was the earliest civilization which started around 4000BC but that was in Mesopotamia and not modern day India. The dates don't add up. I believe you 100% I just want to know more info on this & Im wondering if this is a case of manipulating history by the archeology industry. I have listened to podcasts with Graham Hancock & many others talking about our ancient history. They reveal convincing evidence that modern archeology is intentionally covering up certain structures, incorrectly dating them & fabricating info about civilizations. When I tried researching AYU many sources claim that its pseudoscience. Would love to hear your thoughts on all this, the truth about the origins of AYU and in what language were the texts written in 6000 years ago. Thank you!!       Erin: Hi! This has been happening randomly for years & no dr has solved it. I go to sleep easily but I will wake up feeling awful & it's usually around 12:30-1am. Armpits sweating, muscles crampy, heart rate is so fast, stomach looks 6 months pregnant. I will eat something, drink and once i can start burping the heart rate slows back down and i start feeling better. I have noticed it happening more when it's really hot and humid out and certain molds are high. I have also noticed it happening when I eat around 1500 calories. I am a female and macros say i should be at 2,000-2200 for my activity level. Would this difference in calories cause this? I am wanting to loose some weight and it has been impossible due to this. My gut says adrenals but why did this start happening? So frustrated     Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!   - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3831 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Is modern medicine actually making us sicker? Today's guest is a board-certified physician who nearly walked away from medicine when he realized the entire system was built on the wrong foundation. But instead of quitting, he did something far more dangerous: he stayed. He finished med school, crushed his residency, passed his boards… and then turned his back on the profit-driven pharmaceutical playbook. We're here with my friend Dr. Ahmad Ammous: a doctor who treats patients with sunlight, movement, and real food instead of an endless cascade of prescriptions. We're talking about how modern hospitals became some of the worst places on Earth to actually heal, why medications are now the third leading cause of death, and how the same fiat thinking that broke our money has also broken our medical system and our food. We'll dig into:The hidden dangers of statins, antidepressants, and peptidesHow the American Medical Association helped erase traditional and lifestyle-based solutions from modern medicine entirelyWhy circadian biology, light, and EMFs may matter more than the macros on your plateAnd much more...If you've ever felt like the conventional medical system treats you like a lab rat, don't miss this episode. Hey, Heal Squad! Today we're throwing it back to one of our most eye-opening conversations with Dr. Christopher Motley, a leading expert in functional kinesiology and Chinese medicine. If you've been following our recent episodes on mold toxicity, this is the perfect next listen because mold and Lyme disease often go hand in hand, sharing many of the same frustrating symptoms. Dr. Motley explains the surprising ways Lyme can enter the body, why so many people never fully recover, and the hidden role blocked drainage pathways play in keeping you sick. From EMFs, heavy metals, and mold toxicity to trapped emotions, he reveals how these invisible stressors overwhelm your body, disrupt your lymphatic system, and prevent true healing. We also dive into how trauma can become stored in your organs, what viruses like Epstein-Barr have to do with fatigue and hormone imbalances, and why restoring your body's Qi (your electromagnetic life force) may be one of the missing pieces to lasting wellness. If you've been doing everything "right" but still don't feel like yourself, this throwback episode will help you connect the dots and finally understand what could be keeping your body stuck. What employers should know about key developments this week: Severance Agreement Overhaul: The No Severance Ultimatums Act, awaiting Governor Kathy Hochul's signature, would extend a 21-day review period plus a seven-day revocation period to all employees and require severance agreements to explicitly state that the employee has the right to consult counsel. The legislation would take effect immediately upon signature. Trapped at Work Act Amendments: On December 19, 2026, New York's ban on "stay or pay" promissory notes takes effect. The Trapped at Work Act carves out financial bonuses and wage advances and adds new conditions for tuition repayment agreements. New York joins California and Connecticut in banning certain promissory notes. Earned Safe and Sick Time Act Update: Amended Earned Safe and Sick Time Act rules, now in effect for New York City employers, require 32 hours of unpaid protected time off immediately upon hire and set new obligations for employers that use electronic systems to track sick leave balances for departing employees. In this episode of Employment Law This Week®, Epstein Becker Green attorney Drew C. This summary of the Catechism's teaching about the Anointing of the Sick is concise and rich. This holy anointing brings us hope and courage as we endure illness and the difficulties of old age. While we pray for healing of body and soul, this sacrament also prepares us for death. Fr. Mike ends this episode by explaining three practices of the Church that help her members prepare for death. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 1526-1532. This week, I'm honoured to welcome all three founding members of Sweden's legendary Vinterland - Andreas Jonsson, Pehr Skjoldhammer and D.F. Bragman - to Into The Necrosphere. Not only is this their first appearance on the show, but it also marks the first long-form podcast interview any of the three founding members have ever given together, making this a genuinely historic conversation for fans of one of black metal's most revered cult bands. We explore the story behind “Welcome My Last Chapter” - from its enduring legacy and why it continues to resonate decades later, to the band's long absence, their return to the stage, the evolution of their songwriting, and why Vinterland has always followed its own path rather than the expectations of the black metal scene. We also revisit the chaotic journey that nearly prevented the band from making it to Fortress Festival, reflect on what it means to create timeless music, and discuss what the future holds for Vinterland after one of metal's most unlikely and celebrated comebacks. On the Weekly News Rant, Karl Haikara returns to the show to round up the latest releases from Terrestrial Hospice, Taake, Forbidden, Rapid and others for judgement. We discuss the recently announced formation of Towards The Sinister, list the metal subgenres we simply can't get into, pay tribute to the late, great Lou Koller from Sick of it All and on the Swirly of the Week we take aim at black metal fans afraid of buying a T-shirt without first checking whether it's socially acceptable. The effects of the Anointing of the Sick are numerous and deeply transformative. In times of great need and temptation, this sacrament brings us strength, courage, peace, and the forgiveness of sins. Fr. Mike explains that these effects aren't only for the individual recipient but for the whole ecclesial community. We learn that when a person approaches the threshold of death, joining this anointing with Reconciliation and the Eucharist as viaticum constitute “the sacraments that complete the earthly pilgrimage.” Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 1520-1525. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. Isaac Vallie-Flagg: From Street Fights & Jackson's Gym to UFC, Strikeforce & Sobriety | MMA History Podcast #340Fellow historians, this is one that should never have happened. Isaac Vallie-Flagg had no wrestling pedigree, no karate or boxing background—just a tough kid from Michigan who liked to fight. He moved to Albuquerque, trained under Tate Fletcher and Alberto Crane, then walked into the golden era of Jackson's MMA and somehow made it all the way to Strikeforce and the UFC.In this raw, unfiltered episode, Isaac sits down with the MMA Detective Mike Davis and Joey Venti and lays out the full story. He talks about the early street-fight days and the punk-rock New Mexico scene, then describes what it was like training as the perpetual nail alongside Nate Marquardt, Mike Van Arsdale, Melvin Guillard, Leonard Garcia, Cub Swanson, Joe “Daddy” Stevenson, Cowboy Cerrone and the rest of the Jackson-Wink murderer's row. He recounts the chaotic Dominican Republic card where the entire lineup got stiffed, his Strikeforce debut against Brian Melancon (the hardest hitter he ever faced), the career-defining win over Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante, the legendary Yves Edwards fight, and going to war with Takanori Gomi while deep in opiate withdrawal and cutting weight at the same time.Isaac is brutally honest about the physical and mental hell of kicking opioids while making weight for UFC fights, the difference between a hard partier and a true addict, and what recovery has taught him about grace, trauma, and becoming a better man. This is not a prison interview—it's a hard-earned happy ending from a fighter who refused to quit.If you've ever wondered what the real “punk rock days” of MMA looked and felt like inside one of the greatest gyms of all time, this episode delivers.Like, comment, and subscribe for more interviews and deep dives into the men who built this sport. By taking up our cross and following Christ, we gain a new way of seeing sickness and frailty. Along with this newness of vision, the Church is given the command from her founder to heal the sick. Since its beginning, the Church has anointed the sick among us, praying for their healing and salvation. Amid their sufferings, the suffering can endure, uniting themselves to Christ's own afflictions for the sake of the Church. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 1506-1513. He is also a 2x best selling author and one of the foundational doctor's helping people finally taking their health back from chronic disease. Today we discuss how his MSIDS model provides a systems-based framework for understanding how chronic infections, gut dysfunction, environmental toxins, immune dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and other overlapping stressors contribute to persistent illness- and how you can help diagnose AND treat to get your health back. We also discuss various items such as:-Why some get Lyme and some don't-Why some get long COVID and some don't-What holds people back from healing-The foundations you need to ask yourself when trying to heal your bodySome random nuggets of wisdom in this podcast include:Lyme/Alzheimer's link: First published reversal of Alzheimer's biomarkers in a chronic Lyme patient after 9-week dapsone protocol. Bartonella identified as a major driver of long COVID, neuropsychiatric illness, and immune suppression; transmitted via cat scratches, fleas, mites, spider bites — not only tick bites. Emotional trauma / limbic dysfunction blocks biological recovery; limbic retraining (EMDR, DNRS, Primal Trust) is often required before other treatments become effective. Glutathione depletion enables COVID-19 (and other viruses) to replicate; blocking NF-κB and stimulating NRF2 pathways provided protection during the pandemic. Autism biomarkers (neurofilament light, P-tau) appear in children before symptom onset — same Alzheimer's markers found in adults. Together, with Fr. Mike, we begin the chapter on the sacraments of healing, starting with the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. Fr.
