Engineered stone, or quartz, is a man-made material made with high concentrations of silica that is commonly used to make kitchen countertops in the U.S.  But doctors are seeing more and more workers in the countertop industry developing silicosis, an often deadly lung disease linked to inhaling toxic dust the material releases when powercut. Even though California has safety rules in place to reduce the risk to workers, some say it's time to ban the use of engineered stone altogether. Meanwhile, Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) dupes his family with a fake kidnapping, and the mysterious crypt bones wreak havoc on the health of Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). Young Rachel DiMera (Alice Halsey) faces an emotional turmoil over her mother, Kristen DiMera's (Stacy Haiduk), sudden disappearance. DOOL predictions also hint that Chanel, already under stress with a new baby and a string of family abductions, finds herself pregnant against doctor's warnings. With her past experience with miscarriage and current high-risk status, she decides to keep this news hidden from Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and her mother, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry).  Days of our Lives spoilers show that Jeremy, previously accused of stalking Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), seems to have joined forces with Owen Kent. The duo appears to be plotting against Stephanie and her boyfriend, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). Jeremy's involvement with Owen raises concerns about his true intentions after his arrival in town.  DOOL spoilers reveal that Peter, after a 27-year absence, returns to Salem under a new guise and fakes his own kidnapping to divert suspicion. He joins his family in the mausoleum, leading to an unexpected reunion with his sister, Kristen. Plus, Next week on Days of Our Lives, the unearthed crypt bones cause a mysterious illness in Theo and Peter, leading to their hospitalization. The possibility of the bones carrying toxins from the Demira tunnels threatens Theo's health, echoing his mother Lexie Carver's (Renee Jones) tragic death from brain cancer. And, on Days of our Lives next week, Rachel spirals out of control after learning about Kristen's kidnapping. Her mental health further declines with Sophia Choi's (Rachel Boyd) influence, potentially leading to a breakout attempt from the young DiMera. In this riveting conversation, West Point graduate, Iraq veteran, and pediatric chiropractor Dr. Stanton Hom shares how he went from a “clean bill of health” on paper to a body and nervous system in crisis and how surfing, sunlight, grounding, and neurologically focused chiropractic care completely reset his life. He and Ginny dig into why over half of kids now have at least one chronic illness, how belief systems about genes and medicine quietly shape our parenting, and why so many teens say they “feel old” long before adulthood. They also talk about birth culture, homebirth vs. hospital norms, the pressure around pediatric visits and heel-prick tests, and why it can feel tyrannical when parents are punished for asking questions or wanting slower, more thoughtful care. Dr. Stan paints a hopeful, practical path forward: freedom-focused care that helps families need the system less over time, protects informed consent, and puts the nervous system back at the center. He explains how spinal health, heart rate variability, and movement (including unstructured play and time in nature) act as powerful epigenetic inputs that can change the trajectory of a child's health and even a family tree. If you've ever felt uneasy about “standard of care,” or wondered why your outdoor kids seem to skip so many of today's common problems, this episode will give you language, courage, and a roadmap. Republicans Want You Sick, Tired, and Distracted | Karel Cast 25-164 Republicans are pushing policies that leave Americans with higher health premiums, fewer protections, and no real solutions—while Trump tries to rebrand “affordability” by blaming Democrats for an economy his party refuses to fix. Behind the scenes, GOP lawmakers are advancing legislation that completely ignores skyrocketing insurance rates. At the same time, the economy continues to slide, and the message from the right is loud and clear: Stay sick. Stay tired. Stay powerless. LGBTQ leaders are sounding the alarm as authoritarianism spreads through American institutions. “Stop thinking you're safe, because you're not,” one warns. From ICE disabling security cameras to secretive abuses of power, systems meant to protect us are instead targeting marginalized communities—especially LGBTQ Americans. This is why I've openly questioned staying in the United States. We're watching constitutional norms erode in real time, and history tells us who becomes the first target.
