When Sheila Fox disappeared from Coventry shortly after her sixteenth birthday, her family were left with little more than a grainy photograph and unanswered questions. An assumption that she had run away with an older man became accepted over the years, but police could never establish what had happened. In this new episode, Crawlspace Media's Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna speak with journalist Sierra Gillespie of Law&Crime about the trial of Lindsay Clancy. This episode was previously published on Missing on August 3, 2026. Lindsay Clancy is a former Massachusetts nurse who was charged with first-degree murder following the January 2023 strangulation deaths of her three young children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—at their Duxbury home, after which she attempted suicide. Because Clancy admits to the killings, her trial centers on legal responsibility: her defense argues she was in the grips of severe postpartum psychosis and over-medication, while prosecutors argue she acted intentionally and understood her actions. The Cathy Heller Podcast: A Podcast for Soulful Entrepreneurs
Join the Community https://cathyheller.com/cathys-circle/ What if feeling healthier, more alive, and more connected does not require changing your entire life at once, but simply making the next choice that aligns with the highest version of you? In this episode of Everything Is Energy, Cathy sits down with her friend Sanam Ghiyam for a conversation about the intersection of physical health, spirituality, desire, and what it really means to thrive. Sanam has spent years optimizing her own health and sharing what she learns with the people around her, and together she and Cathy explore why taking care of your body and deepening your spiritual life may be more connected than we realize. They talk about the simple foundations Sanam returns to again and again, including sleep, resistance training, and nourishing food, as well as the role that peptides and GLP-1s can play when used thoughtfully with medical guidance. But the conversation goes much deeper than health hacks. Cathy and Sanam explore what it means to live with certainty without needing to control the outcome, why your desires may be pointing you toward the next version of yourself, and how sharing what you receive creates more abundance for everyone around you. They also talk about starting small instead of trying to overhaul your life overnight, why who you surround yourself with matters, and how a few minutes of gratitude can completely change what you notice. Cathy shares a powerful story about asking God and her late father for guidance and receiving an answer in a way she never could have predicted. This episode is for you if you feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice about health and longevity, you want to feel stronger and more energized as you get older, you are learning how to trust your desires without becoming attached to the outcome, or you want to become more available to the guidance, synchronicities, and blessings that may already be surrounding you. Sarah is still in her Camp Era, and that includes giving us tips on nobody's-favorite-game, Simon Says. She is ruthless. We discuss why kids still get homesick sometimes when they're at camp, but now counselors are noticing that parents are "kid-sick," and have separation anxiety while their kids are away. Sarah offers an ADHD life hack that she created after becoming obsessed with the camp salad bar. Susie is just amazed that she's rolling the dice eating lettuce during a national parasitic outbreak. We discuss a funny Jimmy Kimmel clip that made Susie think about sunken cost fallcy and the plasticity of our minds. We learn about a man whose window on a flight broke, depressurizing the plane, and sucking his head outside while his wife had to hold on to him. Sarah rants about the price of margaritas at the Fresno airport, which is not a relatable story, but is hilarious.00:00 - Susie's Red Lips and Wild Stories Ahead00:44 - The ADHD Friend Who Disappears and Reappears02:27 - The Challenges of Kids' Medications at Summer Camp08:33 - Sarah's Simon Says Trick for Managing Feral Campers10:22 - How Technology is Ruining Camp Independence19:58 - Sarah's ADHD Life Hack: The Refrigerator Salad Bar23:45 - Processed Meats and Post-Camp Health Check-up29:01 - Bewitched, Simpsons, and Mom's Onion Remedies30:29 - Jimmy Kimmel, Placebo Effect, and Brain's Weirdness35:32 - Surviving a Flight Nightmare and Expressing Airline Rage47:06 - Apologies to the Dodo: Not Dumb, Just Misunderstood52:44 - Outrageous Margarita Prices at Fresno Airport53:50 - Join Patreon, Use Codes, Leave a Five-Star ReviewBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandypod to take an additional 10% off your next purchase.Get 15% off OneSkin with the code BRAINCANDY at https://www.oneskin.co/BRAINCANDY #oneskinpodTDM-RESERVATION: 1. In this new episode, Crawlspace Media's Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna discuss the disappearance of Brandon Swanson from southwestern Minnesota on May 14th, 2008. While Brandon was driving home after celebrating the end of his college semester, he accidentally steered his sedan into a rural roadside ditch. Uninjured, he called his parents for assistance, remained on the call with them for 47 minutes while walking across farmland in the dark toward what he believed was a nearby town. The call ended abruptly after Brandon uttered a brief expletive ("Oh, shit!") followed by sudden silence. Jen Psaki sets the record straight on extraordinary Democratic enthusiasm in this year's midterm elections, as evidenced by exceptional turnout in the primaries so far, and points out that despite the media's obsession with intra-party competition, Democrats are actually very unified with candidates in even the most contentious primaries supporting each other once the contest is over. And meanwhile, Donald Trump's distortion of the Republican Party is producing seriously flawed candidates. Senator Jon Ossoff points out that between regular leaks to the press and a White House full of advisors with self-interests and ambitions for 2028, it can hardly be surprising that details of secret protective measures surrounding the president are exposed to the public. Jen Psaki talks with David Crowley, the new Democratic nominee for governor of Wisconsin after defeating poll-favorite Francesca Hong. While Crowley's victory was a surprise based on polling, he was ready to win and discusses the keys to his success and his plan moving forward to the general election. What if the goal today isn't to make your life extraordinary? What if it's to learn how to see the extraordinary gift hidden inside the ordinary? In this reflection on Psalm 104, John Ortberg explores how modern life has changed the way we see the world around us. We know more than ever about how nature works, yet we may have lost something along the way: our ability to experience creation as filled with meaning, wonder, and the presence of God.Drawing on Charles Taylor and Dallas Willard, John invites us to recover the eyes of "saints, poets, and artists" and rediscover what Willard called "the well-kept secret of the ordinary."Birds sing.Trees grow.Wild animals drink.Leviathan frolics.People go to work. And apparently God really likes hyraxes.Psalm 104 invites us to look again and recognize that ordinary creation is overflowing with the generosity, creativity, and goodness of God.In this episode:Psalm 104 and the wonder of creationCharles Taylor and the "immanent frame"Recovering the enchantment of realityDallas Willard and the secret of ordinary lifeWhy God made the hyraxSeeing creation as more than something to useThe love-letter analogyReceiving your life as a giftFinding God in everyday momentsScriptures:Psalm 104Genesis 1:26–27#Psalm104 #JohnOrtberg #DallasWillard #CharlesTaylor #Psalms #Creation #SpiritualFormation #ChristianFaith #BibleStudy #Wonder

A monthly budget can tell you how much money is coming in and how much is going out. But sometimes that still isn't enough. The missing piece may be timing. When does your income actually arrive? Which expenses need to be paid before the next paycheck? Is the money you need available when the bill is due, or are you constantly looking backward and realizing something should have been paid days ago? In this episode of The New Money Habits Podcast, Coach Nino Villa explores what he calls cash flow clarity—understanding not only what you earn and spend, but when those dollars actually move through your life. He also looks beneath the numbers at the beliefs and emotions that influence whether we plan ahead, react at the last minute, rely on credit, or manage what we have with greater intention. The goal isn't simply to pay bills on time. It's to create enough clarity to reduce stress, make informed decisions, and use money as the tool it was meant to be rather than feeling controlled by it. Sometimes peace doesn't begin when more money arrives. Sometimes it begins when you can finally see clearly what the money you already have needs to do next. Kid and El Pres are back in the studio, and Kid isn't exactly arriving with a clear head. A relationship he thought had long-term potential has suddenly gone quiet, leaving him trying to reconcile the comfort of believing he'd found somebody to grow old with against the reality of barely communicating at all. Beneath all the usual Goin' Deep stupidity is something considerably more sincere: the realization that the podcast has always been a place where jokes cover heavier things that don't necessarily get discussed anywhere else. Kid returns from a vintage baseball weekend where the Independents got their asses kicked, the roster looked increasingly aware of its collective age and the team captain missed the festivities after getting sick. The baseball may have been rough, but the friends weekend and general distraction were exactly what Kid needed. That leads into the other major distraction of the week: Foo Fighters in Detroit. Kid and El Pres put the show among the best concerts they've attended, with Kid comparing it against an Eagles show that still holds the championship belt in his personal concert rankings. Queen of the Stone Age gets plenty of love too, along with a tease about an old Josh Homme story involving somebody connected to the show. Then artificial intelligence takes over the studio. Kid starts demonstrating how easily old photographs can now be animated, altered and completely reinvented. An innocent old Goin' Deep studio photo slowly mutates until the original Red Eye looks like he's spent the last decade secretly training for an action movie. That sends the guys into the larger question of whether AI has made fantasy so instantly available that younger people simply aren't impressed by the things that once felt forbidden or exciting. That becomes part of a bigger generational argument. Are younger audiences really less interested in sex scenes? Did growing up with unlimited access to everything fundamentally change what feels provocative? And what happened to the traditional rock star, who once existed in a world without somebody filming every stupid decision from six feet away? El Pres is meanwhile approaching retirement and beginning to imagine life without worrying quite so much about what everybody thinks. Travel enters the picture, including Paris, London, Liverpool, Abbey Road and Ireland, while Kid argues that making those memories with his son could be worth more than anything sitting around the house. There are detours through Buc-ee's chaos, social-media personalities who may or may not resemble AI, old morality films that aged spectacularly badly, Detroit Tigers anxiety, the Dodgers tempting fate, and the strange experience of podcast listeners recognizing Kid away from the microphone and knowing considerably more about his life than expected. And finally, civilization arrives at the question philosophers were apparently too frightened to ask: Why do bangs look like a warning sign? Grok is summoned. Grok is instructed to become less polite. Grok eventually concludes that bangs represent a daily declaration of war against the forehead. That seems scientific enough for this show. Listen in Go Deep
When your team isn't following through, it's easy to call it a lack of buy-in. But buy-in isn't one decision, and it isn't an on-and-off switch. It's a process that moves from knowing and understanding to agreement, commitment, determination, persistence, resilience, and finally ownership. In this episode of Just ONE Thing, I break down each stage and explain why diagnosing where someone is stuck matters. When you understand the stage, you can give your team member the leadership they actually need instead of teaching, motivating, or holding them accountable for the wrong problem. Listen to this episode of Just ONE Thing and take a closer look at where your team members are actually getting stuck in the buy-in process. Before you assume someone simply isn't bought in, ask a better question, diagnose the right problem, and give them the leadership they need to move forward.

Spearfish Canyon has a habit of swallowing things. In 1887, a farmer discovered a stone supposedly containing the final words of a prospector who vanished into the Black Hills more than fifty years earlier. Since then, the canyon has erased an entire mining town, destroyed a railroad, hidden missing hikers from search teams... and, for nearly ninety years, even lost a waterfall. Add sacred Lakota traditions, unsolved murders, modern Missing 411 mythology, and a landscape almost perfectly designed to make people disappear, and it's easy to understand why generations have believed something is wrong inside this gorge. Tonight, we explore the strange history of Spearfish Canyon and ask whether its reputation requires anything supernatural at all. What happens when you stop treating insurance as just a sales career and start building something that can impact clients, agents, families, and entire communities? In this episode of the Life Insurance Academy Podcast, Roger Short sits down with Gabriel Tovar, founder of Tovar Financial Group, to unpack the lessons Gabriel has learned across 28 years in the insurance industry. Gabriel's journey started after an unexpected injury forced him to reconsider his future. A simple invitation to "come and see" the insurance opportunity eventually changed the trajectory of his life and his family. Nearly three decades later, Tovar Financial Group has grown into a multi-vertical agency serving clients through life insurance, Medicare, health insurance, and retirement solutions while expanding its reach across multiple states. Gabriel and Roger discuss why the Hispanic market remains a tremendous opportunity for agents willing to educate, serve, and earn trust rather than simply sell products. Gabriel explains how becoming deeply involved in the communities Tovar Financial Group serves has helped create lasting relationships, referrals, and growth. They also dive into the importance of building an agency capable of serving clients across multiple insurance verticals. Gabriel shares how he spent years mastering life insurance, retirement planning, Medicare, and health insurance—and why agents don't have to become experts in everything overnight to ultimately provide more comprehensive service. But some of the biggest lessons in this conversation have nothing to do with products. Gabriel explains how investing in mentorship, training, relationships, and the right rooms completely changed the trajectory of his business. After nearly 20 years without strong systems or mentorship, getting around people operating at a higher level helped him expand his vision, implement better processes, and begin building a true agency. If you're an insurance agent trying to grow, an agency owner looking to reach the next level, or someone considering whether this industry could change your life, this conversation is a powerful reminder: Sometimes your biggest breakthrough begins with getting around the right people, investing in yourself, and being willing to take the next step. In this episode: • Gabriel Tovar's 28-year journey in insurance • Why the Hispanic insurance market remains underserved • Building trust instead of chasing transactions • Serving clients across life, Medicare, health, and retirement • How community involvement creates opportunity • Why mentorship transformed Tovar Financial Group • The difference between viewing training as an expense versus an investment • Why your environment and relationships matter • Building an agency that develops people—not just production • Creating freedom while keeping family at the center As Gabriel explains, products and compensation can be figured out—but being in the right environment, surrounded by the right people, can determine how far you ultimately go. Subscribe to the Life Insurance Academy Podcast for more conversations designed to help insurance professionals grow their production, businesses, leadership, and impact.
For so many people, a single body comment has stayed with them for years. Someone remarks on what's on your plate, or how you look compared to last time they saw you, and you stand there without knowing what to say. Commenting on bodies got normalized somewhere along the way, and most of us were never given the language to push back on it. But what if you already have the right to end that conversation, and the only missing piece is knowing what to say? In this episode, we talk about what happens when people comment on your body, your food, or your weight, and what you can actually say back. Between the three of us we have lived this from opposite sides. Comments about being too thin, comments about gaining weight, comments in a larger body, comments filtered through cultural norms where remarking on appearance is the first thing out of someone's mouth. What we bring to this conversation is a range of responses that fit different relationships, different rooms, and different levels of energy on any given day. In this episode, you will discover: The reason a comment about your body says almost nothing about your body What most people never realize they are doing when diet culture teaches them that commenting is helpful The one question to ask yourself before you decide whether to respond at all Why unsolicited advice about your health so often arrives dressed as concern What setting boundaries actually sounds like with the family member you cannot avoid What to say when someone celebrates their own weight loss Why food comments at a party are rarely about the food What body shaming looks like when it comes wrapped in a compliment The part of body autonomy that requires no explanation from you to anyone Why food freedom includes eating without explaining your choices Protecting your body image does not require a confrontation, and this episode shows exactly what it does require. A federal watchdog says some guidelines meant to improve the response to Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) are falling short of federal requirements. That is according to an audit from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)'s Office of Inspector General. The watchdog reviewed guidelines from 49 U.S. Attorneys' districts developed under Savanna's Act. The law was passed in 2020 to improve coordination between tribal, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies responding to MMIP cases. The Inspector General found guidelines from 10 of the 49 districts did not fully meet requirements under the law. Seven were missing at least one of six required sections, while eight were not adequately tailored to circumstances within their individual districts. The audit also found staffing shortages within the DOJ's MMIP Regional Outreach Program. As of February, four of the program's 10 positions were vacant. The Inspector General says vacancies and staff turnover have slowed the program's progress. The office made three recommendations, including addressing staffing shortages and bringing district guidelines into compliance. The Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys agreed with all three. Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan addresses her supporters during her Primary Night party. (Courtesy Peggy Flanagan / Facebook) Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (White Earth Nation/D-MN) has won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. The Associated Press called the race for Flanagan Tuesday night. She defeated U.S. Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) in the Democratic-Farmer-Labor primary. The win puts Flanagan one step closer to making history. If elected in November, she would become the first Native American woman to serve in the U.S. Senate. Flanagan has served as Minnesota's lieutenant governor since 2019 and is the highest-ranking Native woman elected to executive office in the U.S. During her campaign, Flanagan focused on issues including health care and affordability. She also campaigned against corporate influence in politics. Peggy Flanagan’s note to her supporters. (Courtesy Peggy Flanagan / Facebook) She is running for the seat held by U.S. Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN), who is not seeking reelection. Flanagan will face Republican Michele Tafoya in the November general election. The Associated Press called that primary for the former NFL sideline reporter in a crowded Republican race. The Clean Air Act requires uranium waste storage pits at the White Mesa mill near Blanding, Utah, to be covered in water to control radon gas. (Photos: Dom Smith / EcoFlight) Congressional Democrats have opened an investigation into a uranium mining company for alleged insider trading. KNAU's Chris Clements has more. Energy Fuels Resources CEO Ross Bhappu bought 74,000 shares of stock in his own company on July 7. Chairman of the board Burce Hansen bought 4,000 shares on July 8. Five days after that, President Donald Trump announced a 90% cut to Bears Ears National Monument. That timing is suspicious, says two Democrats on the House Natural Resources Committee. U.S. Reps. Jared Huffman (D-CA) and Maxine Dexter (D-OR) allege the Trump administration may have tipped the company off about the reduction before it happened. The company owns the only conventional uranium mill in the U.S., and there is a lot of uranium underneath Bears Ears – which is now free from a moratorium on new mining claims. The congressmembers say the company stood to benefit from the Bears Ears reduction, but in an emailed statement to KNAU, Energy Fuels denied the allegations and said it was unaware of any evidence supporting the representatives' claims. Here's a question most practice owners don't ask their accountant: Do I actually owe this much? In this episode, Tracy Cherpeski talks with Rachel Michaelov, an Enrolled Agent and tax strategist who works exclusively with high-earning healthcare professionals. Rachel is the founder of Empire Tax Advisors and Practice Wealth Partners, and she has one mission: help doctors and dentists stop overpaying their taxes. Rachel shares why most healthcare providers work with reactive CPAs instead of proactive tax strategists, the three most expensive mistakes she sees practice owners making, and strategies like cost segregation and R&D credits that could save you hundreds of thousands of dollars. She walks through a real example: a doctor with a $1.2 million tax liability who ended up with a $24,000 refund. If you've ever felt like financial stress is stealing your time, your peace of mind, or your ability to reward your team, this conversation is for you. Rachel gets real about why this matters for your life, not just your spreadsheet. Read the full show notes, memorable quotes, and key takeaways. Trump was smuggled off Air Force One in a catering truck and flown out of Turkey on a secret military flight after a credible Iranian threat. You need to see how this actually went down. After the NATO summit in Ankara, cameras caught Trump boarding the older Air Force One. Minutes later, he and several aides stepped into an elevated catering container on the opposite side of the plane, got lowered to the tarmac, and driven over to a smaller C-32A. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth boarded that same secret flight separately so it looked normal. The press and some White House staff sat on the decoy plane with the window shades ordered closed, thinking the president was with them the whole time. The C-32A landed in Britain nine minutes ahead of the decoy. Trump then reappeared on the older jet before switching to the Qatari-gifted plane for the trip home. Intelligence flagged a specific Iranian plot against him. Israel had tipped the U.S. The White House did not deny the operation. In this episode, Jason explains why a complete production plan is essential for reliable construction flow. Without the right milestones, pull planning, buffers, look-ahead planning, and day planning, projects quickly become reactive. Jason breaks down how the Macro Level Takt Plan, collaborative pull planning, six-week make-ready planning, weekly work planning, and daily planning work together as one production system. What you'll learn in this episode: Why the Macro Level Takt Plan is critical for setting accurate milestones and project duration. How pull planning creates the right sequence, line of balance, buffers, and optimized system. Why six-week make-ready planning removes roadblocks before they impact committed work. What if the skill that makes a comedian great on an unscripted stage is the same skill that makes a leader great in an unpredictable economy?Layoffs and AI have left a lot of people feeling like a line item instead of a human being. Jordana Cole flips that on its head: you are not the resource, you are the source.Jordana is an applied improviser, Gallup Strengths Coach, and University of Pennsylvania positive psychology grad. In this episode she joins host Ashish Kothari to turn a decade on the improv stage into a practical playbook for leading through uncertainty.Together they dig into why AI has no source material without us, why uncertainty is the constant rather than the exception, why an 80/20 tilt toward strengths beats the grind of fixing what is broken, and why play is not a reward for hard work but the thing that makes hard work possible.Improvisation, not certainty, is the human edge in the age of AI. You will walk away with three things you can try this week and one brainstorming trick that changes how your team thinks. What You Will Learn:You are the source, not the resource. AI has nothing to learn from without us.Uncertainty is the constant, not the exception. Possibility, not threat.Play to the scene you're in. Accept reality first, then decide what's next.Lead with your strengths. Gallup: 3x higher quality of life, 6x more engagement.Co-create, including with AI. For years, Bianca did everything she believed a "healthy" woman should do, she exercised daily, tracked her calories, avoided carbs, and was repeatedly told by doctors that nothing was wrong. After nearly 8 years without a menstrual cycle, countless specialist appointments, blood work, MRIs, and a misdiagnosis of PCOS, Bianca finally discovered she had hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA). That discovery didn't just lead to getting her period back, it completely changed the trajectory of her life.In this episode, Bianca shares her recovery journey, the mindset shifts that helped her embrace weight gain and rest, and how recovering from HA inspired her to become a certified Holistic HA Practitioner so she could help other women avoid the years of confusion she experienced. We also discuss:Bianca's 8-year journey to recovering her period naturallyBeing misdiagnosed with PCOS and told to "just go back on the pill"How over-exercising, under-fueling, and diet culture contributed to HAThe mental challenge of eating more, exercising less, and accepting body changesWhy recovery is about so much more than getting your period backThe surprising symptoms of HA that disappeared after recovery (cold intolerance, fatigue, hair loss, food obsession, irritability, and more)How recovery transformed Bianca's relationship with food, movement, and herselfWhy she chose to become an HA coach and now helps women recover around the worldThe importance of support, patience, and not comparing your recovery to someone else'sRecovery gave Bianca far more than a menstrual cycle, it gave her freedom, purpose, and a life that no longer revolved around food and exercise. Why Acne Isn't Just a Skin Problem: The Gut-Skin ConnectionWhat if your acne, eczema, rosacea, or chronic skin condition isn't actually starting in your skin?In this episode of The Turd Nerds, we're joined by naturopathic physician and acupuncturist Megan Larivee for a deep dive into the fascinating world of the gut-skin axis.We explore why the skin is much more than a protective barrier—it's actually the body's largest immune organ. From the skin microbiome and immune signaling to leaky gut, leaky skin, acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis, we unpack the growing evidence connecting gastrointestinal health to chronic skin conditions. We discuss how gut dysbiosis, inflammation, barrier dysfunction, hormones, diet, and environmental exposures may all contribute to skin symptoms—and why simply treating the skin often isn't enough.✔ Why the skin is considered an immune organ✔ The relationship between the skin microbiome and the gut microbiome✔ Leaky gut and leaky skin: what they are and why they matter✔ Acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, and other chronic skin conditions✔ How H. pylori and gut dysbiosis can influence skin health✔ Why skin conditions often persist despite topical treatments✔ The role of fiber and the microbiome in acne management✔ Dairy, insulin signaling, and androgen-driven acne✔ Candida, fungal overgrowth, and skin symptoms✔ The impact of personal care products, soaps, and environmental chemicals on skin health✔ Why skin barrier function is critical for long-term healing✔ Clinical pearls for evaluating chronic skin conditions through a gut-health lensThe skin and gut are constantly communicating through immune, inflammatory, hormonal, and microbial pathways. When that communication breaks down, chronic skin conditions may develop—or become difficult to resolve. If you've struggled with acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, or unexplained skin symptoms, this episode offers a new perspective on where to look and what questions to ask.Because sometimes the best way to heal the skin is to start with the gut.Music provided by Blue Dot.

What if you stopped trying to be everywhere, do everything, and keep up with everyone—and started becoming much more intentional about where your energy goes? In this episode of Feminine and Ambitious, we're talking about the Joy of Missing Out, or JOMO, and why learning to miss out can actually be one of the most powerful things you do for your personal growth, relationships, business, and overall sense of self. As ambitious women, it's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the next opportunity, relationship, trend, launch, invitation, or experience is something we have to say yes to. But when you're constantly afraid of missing something, you can end up missing the most important thing of all: your own life. I'm sharing 7 ways to make your energy more "expensive"—not by becoming unavailable or playing hard to get, but by becoming more discerning about what gets access to your time, attention, energy, and presence. In this episode, we're talking about: Why FOMO can keep you stuck in comparison and scarcity How to tell the difference between intuition and urgency Why saying no can actually create more abundance in your life How to stop performing your life for other people Why protecting your attention is one of the most powerful forms of self-respect How to become less available for things that drain you The connection between JOMO, feminine energy, and self-concept Why you don't need to chase every opportunity to create the life you desire How trusting God and divine timing can help you release the fear of missing out Why the ultimate goal isn't to miss out on life—it's to choose your life The woman with expensive energy isn't the woman who has the most going on. She's the woman who knows what deserves her. If you're ready to stop living from fear, comparison, and urgency and start creating your life from intuition, self-trust, and alignment, this is the work I love helping women with.
“MK Confidential" opens on the evening of May 14th, 2001. Thirty-year-old lawyer Halle Shilling ties back her hair, grabs her yellow Walkman, and drives down to Rock Creek Park for a run. In the parking lot near the old Peirce Mill, a young man sits on a curb, watching her start her jog. Minutes later he is behind her and closing, and then he has her off the trail and down in the trees. There is a knife. She screams, and twists, and works her fingernails into the soft flesh under his tongue until he lets go and runs. Halle Shilling saves her own life less than a mile from the spot where, two weeks earlier, Chandra Levy disappeared. Megyn Kelly follows the case as its focus shifts away from the congressman and onto the man in the park. A geographic profiler spreads a map of Rock Creek Park across a table and marks every attack on a lone woman in the spring of 2001. They cluster on one isolated stretch of trail. Then they stop — all at once, the week a nineteen-year-old day laborer named Ingmar Guandique is arrested on those same trails and taken to jail. He is already serving ten years for attacking Halle Shilling and another runner, Christy Wiegand. No one working the Levy case has ever seriously looked at Guandique. Detectives fly to a California prison and bluff that they have his DNA on Chandra's things. He does not say he never met her. He says: so what if I touched her. Prison guards find a photograph of Chandra Levy in Guandique's cell, clipped from a magazine, kept beside his bed. It is still not enough to charge a man with murder. What finally is enough is a cellmate named Armando Morales, who says Guandique confessed to murdering Chandra. Morales tells the jury he has never been an informant in his life; the jury says Guandique is “guilty.” Neither of those statements will stand the test of time. This is Episode 4 of the Chandra Levy story. “MK Confidential" opens in a hotel lobby in Annapolis, Maryland, in July of 2016. A sliding glass door closes on a golden retriever named Buddy, and a stranger gathers the animal up and carries him inside. He tells the dog's owner his name is Phoenix. Over the next few days he tells her the rest — twenty years in prison, and still capable of doing horrific things when prompted. She gets frightened enough to start recording their conversations. By the time she stops, she has seven hours of a career criminal named Armando Morales, the witness who sent Ingmar Guandique to prison for sixty years for the murder of Chandra Levy. Megyn Kelly lays out how the murder conviction comes apart. On the stand, Morales swore he had never been an informant. Sitting in the government's own files was a letter proving otherwise — a document the prosecution never turned over, and the defense was entitled to have. A judge vacates the conviction and orders a new trial. Then, the tapes surface, and the government's star witness sounds nothing like the reformed man the jury voted to trust. On July 28th, 2016, prosecutors drop the murder charge. Guandique is deported to El Salvador, and disappears. A dismissal is not an acquittal, and it is not an exoneration. Megyn walks through what the evidence still shows, and what has never fit — the rough horse trail where Chandra's family says she would never have run, the workout shoes still sitting in her apartment, an unidentified man's DNA on her clothing, her missing keys and pinkie ring, never found. Chandra's aunt never believed Guandique killed her; neither did the family's private eye. In time, even Bob and Susan Levy stopped being sure. Twenty-five years after their daughter walked out of her apartment, the murder of Chandra Levy is, in the eyes of the law, unsolved. Her parents find consolation in ladybugs, the source of Chandra's childhood nickname, which find them wherever they go, exploring the world in honor of the daughter who left so much of it unseen. This is Episode 5, and the conclusion of the Chandra Levy story.
