Marie Sonneman joins us in this episode to share about how to gain confidence and find your inner badass. Marie hosts the Ordinary to Badass podcast, and helps women gain confidence in their life and with their money. Here are Marie's 5 steps to gaining confidence: 1. Clean out the cobwebs. We can’t move forward without dealing with the past and the things that have caused inner blocks for us. 2. Do hard things. Taking on a challenge in one area of your life will help you build confidence in other areas of your life. 3. Embrace failure. We can reframe so-called failure if we can just learn from it and pivot! 4. Limit social media. The comparison game is strong on social media-- compare and despair! 5. Don’t believe every thought that you think. Try “that’s not true because___.” Listen to the Ordinary to Badass podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ordinary-to-badass/id1479878786 Connect with on Instagram: www.instagram.com/ordinarytobadass Connect on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Ordinary-to-Badass-996077157246398 Visit the Ordinary to Badass website: https://ordinarytobadass.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/craftswithanedge/message

In this episode, we discuss toxic positivity. When positivity is forced upon us and is out of balance, we're prevented from living our full experience and healing from painful experiences. At its worst, it can be a form of gaslighting. We talk more about what toxic positivity is, why it shows up in our culture, and how to practice deepening our tolerance for unpleasant emotions. Ultimately, the work is about getting to the most whole, badass version of yourself by recognizing how to welcome and release all feelings and experiences. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/craftswithanedge/message
In this episode, we dig a little deeper into the intention of the podcast.
