This is Robert's fourth time on the show and the fourth book we've discussed. His latest is Warrior...Audrey Hepburn is a great companion piece to Dutch Girl. Her son Luca called his mom a badass and wanted the world to know all the courageous and kind things she did as the Ambassador Of Unicef. She traveled war zones, met the starving populations of so many countries. During her final visit before she retired from Unicef she visited a place where ten people died in the time she was there. She watched a teen take his last breath. Throughout her years she was a force to be reckoned with. Fragile in size, but not in will, compassion and spirit. Yes, Audrey was more then a badass, she was a Warrior, We also talk her movies after retirement, her marriages and her finally meeting her soulmate Robert Wolders (her Robbie)who was with Audrey every step of the way. She loved to laugh, have a drink and be in her beloved garden in Switzerland. She adored her sons. This book is a triumph to Audrey in every way. I loved her even more after reading this book. Thanks so much to Robert for coming on the show again. You are so FAB! Mostly, thanks so much to all my listeners. You are all the BEST! Michelle is a speaker, author, coach, entrepreneur, and an ever-evolving Badass Leader. The people-part can be the most challenging for many leaders. It certainly was for her. Her wake-up call came in the form of a cataclysmic leadership failure. She very quickly learned to appreciate the profound impact an unconscious leader has on people, teams, and organizational health and performance. The significance and value of a team became abundantly clear, as did the critical importance and necessity for her to immediately begin evolving as a leader. This painfully humbling experience (which she affectionately refers to as #TheSuck) set the course correction for what would become a lifelong hunger for leadership growth and contribution - a self prescribed reparation in many ways, shared through her 12 Leadership Lessons. Early in her leadership journey, she was an absolute ASS as a boss, oblivious to the impact she was having on people! Perhaps, like many of you, she didn't understand how to lead. Michelle looks forward to sharing her thrills of victory & agonies of defeat, with a goal of helping you unlock the art of leading like a Badass!

Wendy Keir has spent her whole life recovering from the traumatic aftereffects of being institutionalized in the United Kingdom's care system. She believes that healing from emotional and traumatic scars is an inside out job. The path to successful ongoing recovery and to breaking the cycle starts with your relationship with yourself and others, how you perceive the world around you and changing your inner world. In this episode, Wendy and I discuss: What is trauma and denial? Recognizing how trauma affects your life Processing your trauma and rebuilding back your self-esteem Finding your identity as a fighter Key Takeaways: A trauma is any event that leaves an emotional imprint within your identity that changes your behavior. Trauma completely changes your personality, body and mind. Trauma can be passed on from parent to child. Recognizing trauma starts from diving within yourself, it's a process of healing and that starts with being self-aware. Take the one thing that's affecting your life the most right now and address that right now. Take things one step at a time. One of the things that is often lost when going through traumatic events is self-esteem. You can regain your self-esteem by connecting with the part of you that's able to see yourself from a loving, compassionate, forgiving, and more empowering mindset. Fear isn't real, it's an illusion of the mind that has been created from what we experienced in the past. "When you start reconnecting with and connecting with the part that is able to acknowledge, to forgive, to comfort the child or the young woman, or young adult that had that experience, you naturally start to see a different side of your personality. You start to recognize that it wasn't not your fault, it was out of your control. You can start to recognize who it is you are, as an individual." — Wendy Keir Connect with Wendy Keir: Facebook: https://web.facebook.com/groups/CoachingandMentoringCollective/ Website: https://www.consciouscoachingandmentoring.com/ Email: email@example.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wendykier/detail/contact-info/ CONNECT WITH CYNTHIA: If you'd like to chat with Cynthia, sign up for your Personal Safety Preparedness Consultation with her today! An authentic Badass since birth, Leslie Ehm was taught by her mother to never be anything but her authentic self. Using this ethos to guide her steps, Leslie found fame as a TV host in the UK, but realizing fame wasn't for her, she sought out her passion becoming an advertising Creative Director then training guru. Leslie has spent decades travelling the globe with her award-winning company Combustion, working with executives and teams from top organizations like Google, Disney, Pepsico, TD Bank, Uber, and more. She's turned technologists into creative forces, bankers into storytellers, and has brought a serious dose of badassery to boardrooms everywhere. Fuelled by her unrelenting passion for developing human potential, Leslie is now a Swagger Coach, speaker, and the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon #1 bestselling Author of Swagger – Unleash Everything You Are and Become Everything You Want. She's been called “better than therapy,” “a rock star,” “ass-kicking,” “a force of nature” and even “a witch.” What You Will Hear in This Episode: Leslie's mom was a powerful role model encouraging her to be nothing but her authentic self from an early age. The social challenges and growing pains of being your authentic self. Leslie's journey from music into television and exploring new opportunities to find your true passion. Listening to and Ignoring your inner voice. Redefining swagger - The ability to manifest who you really are and hold on to it in the face of all that psychological crap that's going to come for it regardless of your situation or environment. Legitimate confidence is rooted in competence. Identifying the five swagger blockers people will encounter on their journey to swagger: persona, ambition, insecurities, fear, pain Quotes: “You cannot be for everyone in this life, you've gotta to find the people who you are for.” “You cannot fake confidence. You only can have legitimate confidence as a result of legitimate competence.” “When I get to a place of confidence I want to be brave enough to move out of that in order to grow and change and evolve.” “You do not need anything else other than what you already have. The key is just believing it, accepting it, embracing it and using the crap out of it. All of it, all of the mess.” Mentioned: IG @LeslieEhmSpeaks LeslieEhm.com Swaggerthebook.com LinkedIn @LeslieEhm Not Done Yet! Not Done Yet!
