Cult Killer Cannibal

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone!  Grab some egg nog and gather round the yule log with me as we read some Holiday Horror tales

For many people in Dayton, Ohio, christmas isnt the merry, festive holiday that it is for the rest of the world.  For many the day of gift giving and mistletoe meetings is shadowed by a tragedy that happened nearly 30 years ago.

Youve probably heard of the great musical mind of Charles Manson through his work with the Beach Boys on their song “Never learn not to love”, but what you probably didnt know was that he was also the head of a murderous cult that some historians believe brought an end to the peace love and happiness of the 60’s and helped bring in the age of paranoia that goes with the cold war.

On the morning of March 26th, 1997, two San Diego county sheriffs deputies entered at mansion in Rancho Santa Fe and were immediately overwhelmed with the stench of decay.  They had received and anonymous tip over the phone that they should check on the tenets of the building but when they arrived there was no one living to check on.

Residing in the lightly populated retirement town of Elephant Butte, New Mexico sat an unassuming cargo trailer.  No one could imagine the amount of pure horror that would would be committed by the trailer's owner, David Parker Ray.

Ed Kemper was quite literally, a giant mother lover who stalked the Santa Cruz area of California from 1972-1973.  He killed numerous hitchhikers all because he wanted to get back at his mother and get out his "Zapples".  

Albert Fish, known as the real life boogey man, was one of America's most heinous killers.  He was a into torture, cannibalism, and even ate the feces of some of his victims.  These week we take a deep dive into his life, crimes and the lasting affect he had on the families of his victims. 

NXIVM was founded in the small town of Clifton Park New York, just north of Albany in 1998 by Kieth Raniere and Nancy Salszman.  These two would go on to create one of the largest and most talked about cults of the century so far.  A secret group within NXIVM, known as DOS, would be uncovered and exposed by the New York Times which would lead to charges of sex trafficking, rackateering and forced labor.
