Food is culture. It’s memory and identity. But turning tradition into innovation takes more than a good recipe. It takes creativity, grit, and a deep understanding of what people crave. Yvette Bonanno knows that well. She grew up in the Baton Rouge restaurant scene and that early exposure sparked a lifelong love for food. Today, she’s combining that experience with cutting-edge food production as the founder of Crave-a-Ball, a Baton Rouge-based company turning classic Louisiana dishes into hand-held, deep-fried, ready-to-serve balls. Yvette’s aiming to build Crave-a-ball into the next great Louisiana food brand. In business, longevity is no accident. It’s the result of resilience, reinvention, and often, a strong sense of purpose passed from one generation to the next. Darren Pizzolato grew up in the heart of a legacy: Tony’s Seafood. Darren was born into the business—literally—and has never worked anywhere else. Over the years, he and his family expanded Tony’s Seafood into one of the largest seafood markets in the region, known for its live catfish, award-winning boiled crawfish. Darren's family was also a driving force behind the launch of Louisiana Fish Fry, a brand that went on to become a national staple before the family sold it in 2018. Today, he’s helping shape the next chapter of that legacy in collaboration with Yvette’s company Crave-a-ball. Food has always been more than just fuel here — it’s a connector, a tradition, and a way to bring people together. And once a tradition is started, it’s easy to follow along and stick with it. From Tony’s Seafood, a Baton Rouge staple that has kept the community coming back for decades, to Crave-a-ball, a new venture that is pushing the boundaries of boudin ball flavors, both companies are continuing the legacy of their families while adding to decades-old recipes. Out to Lunch is recorded live over lunch at Mansurs on the Boulevard. Property Brothers is fake. Catfish is fake. Love Island is fake. And like - fine. It's all fake. We can argue that because we all know, or because it is sometimes very obvious, that it doesn't matter. But it does because it shifts our idea of normal and acceptable. It makes us feel like everyone behaves like a character. It convinces us that we're not normal if we're not always camera ready. But because it's normal to sell us things plan your vacation around instagram, or stage your house because you want to look cool on a tiktok, or have a face filter every time you post, It's not just becoming harder to tell what's fake, there's simply very little left that isn't. We have guest on today's episode is hoping to bring attention and light to a very cold case. A few weeks ago, I had the honor and pleasure of speaking to 11 time Emmy award-winning (to name a few) creative composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and NOW filmmaker, Dan Brown Junior. Because you listen to this podcast and many other podcasts across the true crime landscape, I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty that you have most likely heard Dan's work…somewhere…on networks such as ABC,CBS, NBC, Disney, A & E, Investigation Discovery, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, History Channel, Hallmark, NFL, HBO, TLC, HLN, Oxygen,, BET, AMC, Apple, Crime & Investigation… on shows such as Dateline, Snapped, Unspeakable Crimes, The Hunt for the Zodiac Killer, Pitbulls & Parolees, Killer Beside Me, Catfish, The Hunt with John Walks, Deadline Crime with Tamron Hall, Wives with Knives, American Greed, The Disappearance of Maura Murray, Very Scary People, Forensic Files II, The Disappearance of Crystal Roberts, A Current Affair…to name a few…there are literally thousands of places where you've heard his work and today, we will put…at least a voice to the musician who woke up one day and decided he wanted to “write the music you hear on the crime shows”. With that, Dan created Crimesonics in 2018 with a singular goal in mind…to take over the sound of crime television, films and games worldwide by supplying the globe with exquisitely criminal production music. Since then, Crimesonics, under Dan's creative vision and leadership, has amassed an eclectic repository of criminal and investigative music and sound effects, redefining what Crime TV could sound like. Dan has since crossed over into filmmaking with a project that is also a passion, with his documentary Girl Forgotten: What Happened To Brianna Wells. You heard the trailer of Dan's film at the opening, a link to which is in the show notes where you can watch and subscribe to Crimesonics on YouTube…which you're going to want to once you learn who Brianna was and is…and the ongoing efforts to solve her murder. With his documentary, Dan hopes to bring light to a case that has been languishing in darkness for more than a decade. In this rowdy pre-GART episode of OnlyLands, a menagerie of Badlands hosts gather for a hilarious and wide-ranging livestream packed with road stories, bitcoin mishaps, conspiracy callbacks, and karaoke confessions. GMoney makes his first appearance and gets immediately thrown into the deep end with ghost stories, lost bitcoin tales, and awkward encounters with catfished fans. The crew shares wild experiences at Coachella, debates the best, and worst, of modern country music, and roasts each other's haircuts and camera lighting with zero mercy. Jon Herold recounts an unbelievable fan interaction involving stolen crypto and a fake online identity, while Ghost and GMoney break down the bizarre optics of Trump's Vatican meeting with Zelensky. From Tyrese Gibson dinner parties to sword collections in suburban basements, no topic is too random or sacred for this chaotic crew. They also touch on the symbolism of the Green Dragon Tavern, the state of U.S. media brainwashing, and the sovereign alliance quietly reshaping geopolitics. Part podcast, part virtual green room, and all unfiltered camaraderie, this episode is a perfect warm-up for GART Weekend and a peek into the raw, irreverent heart of the Badlands family.

Send us a textThis week on the Montana Outdoor Podcast your host Downrigger Dale talks to outdoor reporter, writer and Hunting and Conservation Editor for Outdoor Life, Andrew McKean. Andrew wrote a wonderful article for the 2025 March/April edition of Montana Outdoors Magazine. The title of the article is Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Fins. This fascinating article covers the history and the effect of the introduction of the Cisco into Fort Peck Reservoir over 40 years ago and the effects this amazing forge fish continues to have on the sport fish that live in the Reservoir. Of course, most avid Fort Peck Anglers are aware of the Cisco, but they may not be aware of how the Cisco continues to grow the population of world class sport fish in the reservoir and how they are changing the behavior of the larger of the Walleye, Pike, Lake Trout, of course the Chinook or King Salmon and maybe even the larger Catfish. Now, many of you reading this may be asking what do you mean? Well when you listen to this Podcast you will hear Andrew talk about why more and more anglers are catching for example large Walleye and Pike suspended in deep water, often when they are fishing for the King Salmon! In fact, during the podcast Andrew even gives a stunning prediction that one of these days soon there will a new record Pike caught deep that will exceed...wait until you hear that weight! He also talks about other positive things about this amazing forge fish that you will for sure find VERY interesting. Yeah, you will learn that the story of the Cisco is a rare success story for a nonnative forge fish. So, mash that play button and listen to this fascinating podcast about the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Fins.Links:For more information about the Cisco click here.To learn about all the articles you can find in the March/April edition of Montana Outdoors Magazine click here.Click here to read the article Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Fins.Questions for Andrew McKean? Hey there, music lovers. Welcome to Why Music Matters, a podcast where we examine the power and influence that music can wield in our lives. I'm your host, Jeff Miers. Today on the podcast, I'm excited to welcome two members of Letter To Elise, a young indie band that has already left a mark on the Western New York music scene, and is poised to take its soaring, anthemic sound out into the broader world. Vocalist, songwriter and band founder Elliott Hunt and keyboardist/vocalist Chris Lillis bring an edgy urgency to their emotional, grandiose take on modern indie pop and alternative rock. Their sound is at once familiar and fresh, and offers a unique take on indie tropes and the sort of pop hooks that helped to build the careers of artists like The Killers, Cage the Elephant and Catfish and the Bottle Men. And Hunt's emotionally intelligent lyrics and indelible vocal melodies reveal the influence of heritage artist like U2 and Bruce Springsteen. During our chat, Elliott and Chris discuss their earliest musical epiphanies, their diverse musical influences, their recent joint cover of the Killers' ‘Mr. Brightside' with Goo Goo Dolls co-founder Robby Takac and members of the Bills Mafia, and their soon-to-be-released new EP, the result of a new and exciting partnership with producer Lennon Leppert. I started my Youtube channel as a way help anglers catch more fish and enjoy their time on the water. There were a lot of Youtube fishing channels that showed people catching fish, but not that many catfishing channels with detail information on catfish gear, rigs, rods and tactics for catching catfish. Since then my fishing channel on Youtube has done great, I finally got silver play button, and I am looking down the road to focus on what come next with my channel. There is also some insight into what it takes to have and maintain a Youtube channel, many of which people do not know or understand unless they've started a fishing channel on Youtube. Youtube fishing channels, especially catfishing channels on Youtube, are abundant and standing out on Youtube can be tough. Catfish fishing channels on Youtube are great, but my hope is to diversify my content moving forward.
In this interview I answered question about how to catch catfish. The questions came from some school kids who were working on a school project about catfishing, so they sent me 20 questions to answer for their project. It is an in depth interview that actually brought me to tears at one point. I've been interviewed many times by various people, but none asked the really good questions. Sometimes those questions are the simplest ones. Great interview. I give up a lot of catfishing secrets and catfishing tips in this video. There are many good pointers on how to catch catfish from the bank and from a boat. If you want to learn how to catch catfish, this is a great video to gain some catfishing knowledge.

A Dublin secondary school has been embroiled in controversy after it was claimed online that one of its teachers is the notorious GAA catfish. County Armagh woman Niamh Farrell denies being the catfish who deceived at least 40 people, including multiple Ulster GAA players. The Portadown woman has now secured a court injunction stopping Coláiste Éanna from continuing with a disciplinary process – which could have resulted in her losing her job. She insists she is not the infamous catfish but an investigation at the school found that she confided in its principal that she was. Ms. Farrell disputes that. Thank you for tuning into another episode of Dropouts :) This week Jared and Alyssa went down quite a nefarious rabbit hole where we learned about a lot of the weirdest kinks that exist, and we thought it would be fun for Zach and Skyler to not only try to guess what each of them are, but also help rank them on a tier list. Judging from the subject matter alone you can probably guess all the weird and wild takes we had while playing this game lol.ALSO, the gang helps Jared with a very dire scenario. He recently matched with a girl on Hinge BUT isn't sure whether or not he's getting catfished... And I think we can all agree, if anyone on the show were to get catfished, it would absolutely be Jared. But he presents the evidence available, we do a little investigating of our own, and you should leave your decision in the comments!
