On May 1st, 2023, a search for two missing teenage girls led authorities to a rural property near Henryetta, Oklahoma. What they found would shock the nation.Seven bodies. Six victims. One gunman. The suspect, Jesse McFadden, was a convicted sex offender scheduled to appear in court that very day on new child solicitation charges. Instead of walking into a courtroom, investigators say he carried out one of the deadliest murder-suicides in Oklahoma in recent memory — killing his wife, her children, and two visiting teenagers before turning the gun on himself. In this episode of Stuttering in Silence, we break down the timeline of the 2023 Henryetta killings, examine the warning signs, the systemic failures, and the devastating aftermath left behind in Okmulgee County. How did a man with a violent past remain free? Could intervention have changed the outcome? And why did it take a missing persons search to uncover a massacre? This is not just a story about one man's violence — it's about the silence that surrounds red flags… until it's too late.

In December 2006, the town of Ipswich was rocked by a spree of brutal murders targeting sex workers in its notorious red light area. But the story didn't end with the capture of the so-called ‘Suffolk Strangler', Steve Wright… The murders of Tania Nicol, Gemma Adams, Anneli Alderton, Annette Nicholls and Paula Clennell would go on to transform policing strategies for prostitution in the UK (and even inspired a tone-deaf musical). And with killer Steve Wright back in the news in February 2026 after pleading guilty to the murder of schoolgirl Victoria Hall in 1999, this decades-old case still hasn't run out of surprises.--Patreon - Ad-free & Bonus EpisodesYouTube - Full-length Video EpisodesTikTok / InstagramSources and more available on redhandedpodcast.com
Since the beginning of 2026, US forces have killed people in Caracas, Venezuela, on boat strikes in the Pacific, and in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Michael McKee is charged with murdering his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer. Surveillance footage allegedly shows his car near the scene. A firearm from his Chicago condo matched through national ballistics databases. Witnesses say Monique told them he'd threatened her for years—that he could "kill her at any time," that she'd "always be his wife." His phone went silent during the killings. Everyone already thinks he's guilty.Defense attorney Bob Motta asks the questions nobody else wants to ask. That surveillance footage everyone's treating as a smoking gun—how reliable is it really? The hearsay testimony from friends—Monique's not alive to testify. Can prosecutors even use it? The phone going dark sounds damning, but Bob explains what juries don't hear about digital evidence. Then there's the psychology of the not guilty plea. McKee waived extradition immediately and his bail hearing while reserving future rights. Most people think that signals defeat. Forensic experts see something else—what they call the "game player." Defendants who view prosecution as competition rather than consequence. The same pattern seen in Scott Peterson, Chris Watts, Ted Bundy. Men facing overwhelming evidence who refused to fold. The same detachment that allows someone to treat a murder trial as an intellectual exercise may be the same detachment that allows them to commit the act. For the game player, other people aren't fully real. They're pieces on a board. The trial isn't punishment—it's the championship round. This is an aggravated murder charge. Prosecutors must prove premeditation—not just that he did it, but that he planned it. Eight years passed between the divorce and the murders. Bob Motta explains why that timeline works for the defense as much as the prosecution.McKee has pleaded not guilty and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.#MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #BobMotta #DefenseAttorney #AggravatedMurder #GamePlayerPsychology #ColumbusOhio #TrueCrimeToday #DoubleHomicideJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Since we were last here, presidents have been abducted, Greenland became the pride of Europe and millions of Epstein Files flooded the matrix. Believe it or not, we're only one month into 2026! But we simply couldn't fit it into a single episode. So here's part one of a double-whammy News Watch, in which we round up the looniest headlines of the longest January ever. We start with the deadly ICE circus unfolding in the US: if the government tells you not to believe your own eyes, should the newspapers reprint their orders? Plus: there's two ICE-related deaths you've surely heard of… but did you read about the other seven? Or do only white citizens deserve headlines? Over to Iran where the flailing government's brutal repression and internet blackout has made it difficult to hear the voices on the ground - at a time when Iranians urgently need the international community. But others are also doing a good job at drowning them out: some very loud and very polarising pundits dominating the debate. We do our best to navigate the world's moral dilemma of How To Help Iranians, by tuning into the quieter voices. And just listening. To end: our new segment, Holding Onto Hope. In August 1989, José, 45, and Kitty Menendez, 47, were shot to death in their Beverly Hills home. Their sons, Lyle, 18, and Erik, 21, would later confess to the killings—setting off one of the most polarizing murder trials in American history. What initially looked like a mob-style hit unraveled into a story of family control, extreme dysfunction, and disturbing allegations of long-term sexual abuse. The trials exposed the private life of a wealthy, image-driven family and forced the public to confront uncomfortable questions about trauma, masculinity, and male child sexual abuse.Today's snack: Buc-ee's Ghost Pepper Salsa and Pecan Trio (thanks Alicia!)Listen to all three parts today on Patreon: https://patreon.com/LoveMarryKillSources:https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/722-N-Elm-Dr-Beverly-Hills-CA-90210/20519601_zpid/? Gary Dodson — better known as “Bumper” — tells the uncensored story of his transformation from a violent white supremacist skinhead and federal prison gang member to a man who ultimately walked away from hate and extremism. Raised in a chaotic, drug-filled household in rural California, Bumper gravitated toward gangs, violence, and racist ideology at a young age. What began as rebellion turned into full-blown immersion in neo-Nazi skinhead culture, leading to robberies, stabbings, riots, and eventually a federal hate-crime and arson case tied to Molotov cocktails. Bumper spent over a decade inside some of the most dangerous level-four federal prisons in the United States, including USP McCreary and USP Victorville, where racial politics, stabbings, and brutal “smash-outs” were a daily reality. In this interview, he breaks down: • How he was recruited into the skinhead movement • The inner politics of white supremacist prison gangs • The psychology behind hate, identity, and belonging • What daily life is really like in violent federal penitentiaries • How he slowly abandoned racist ideology • What finally made him choose a different path This is a raw, unfiltered look inside extremist subcultures, prison survival, and the possibility of change. Brendan Banfield told the jury his story. Now they have to decide if they believe it. Day two of Banfield's testimony gave the court his full account of February 24th, 2023 — the moment he says he walked into his bedroom, saw a stranger holding his wife with a knife, announced himself as police, and fired. He testified Christine spoke to him after the attack despite being stabbed seven times in the neck. According to Banfield, she said: "I'm bleeding out. I'm sorry. I love you."Prosecutor Jenna Sands went hard on cross-examination. She pressed him on the wound count — seven stabs, but Banfield claims he only witnessed one. She got him to admit he'd used a fetish-style site for a previous affair. She entered love letters Banfield wrote to au pair Juliana Peres Magalhães while she was incarcerated — fourteen pages discussing baby names and declaring his love. When asked if he professed "undying love" to Juliana, Banfield said: "Yes, it appears that I was, I was definitely in love with her."The prosecution's rebuttal ended with Banfield's own IRS supervisor testifying that the "important meeting" Banfield described never existed. Closing arguments are tomorrow. Michael McKee sits in Franklin County jail charged with the aggravated murders of his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer Tepe. The unsealed affidavit lays out surveillance footage, witness statements about years of alleged death threats, stolen license plates, cell phone data showing his phone went dark during the murder window, and vehicle tracking placing his SUV in Columbus before and after the killings.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins us to break down the prosecution's case piece by piece. Which evidence is most damaging? What would he build the entire case around if he were lead prosecutor? And where could this seemingly airtight case still fall apart? We examine the hearsay complications with statements Monique allegedly made to friends—that McKee said he could "kill her at any time," that he'd "find her and buy the house right next to her," and that "she will always be his wife." Monique can't testify. How do prosecutors get those statements in front of a jury? The affidavit also includes allegations of prior strangulation and forced sex during the marriage—abuse that was never reported to police or prosecuted. Breaking details from the newly unsealed affidavit in the Michael McKee double murder case reveal that the accused killer was at his ex-wife's Columbus home on December 6th — while she and her husband Spencer were at the Big Ten Championship game 200 miles away.According to court documents, video captured McKee on the Tepe property that night. The Columbus Dispatch reports he entered the home and left "a few hours later." WOSU says he walked through the yard. Monique Tepe left the game at halftime, reportedly upset about "something involving her ex-husband."The affidavit paints a picture of eight years of alleged terror. Witnesses told investigators McKee forced unwanted sex on Monique, strangled her, and threatened to kill her "at any time." He allegedly said he would "buy the house right next to her" and that "she will always be his wife." Despite all of this, Columbus police confirmed there were no prior reports filed. On December 30th, three weeks after the December 6th incident, Spencer and Monique Tepe were found shot to death in their second-floor bedroom. Their children — ages 1 and 4 — were discovered unharmed. McKee's phone showed no activity for 17 hours. A silenced firearm was used. No forced entry.McKee was arrested at a Rockford Chick-fil-A on January 10th. He's charged with four counts of aggravated murder and has pleaded not guilty. The question now: what happened in those 24 days between December 6th and December 30th?#TrueCrimeToday #MichaelMcKee #TepeMurders #BreakingNews #ColumbusOhio #DomesticViolence #CourtDocuments #SpencerTepe #MoniqueTepe #TrueCrimeNewsJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The unsealed affidavit in the Spencer and Monique Tepe murder case reveals what investigators believe was weeks of alleged planning before two people were shot to death in their Columbus home. According to court documents, surveillance captured Michael McKee walking through the Tepes' yard on December 7th—while the couple attended the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis. Twenty-three days later, they were dead. But the documents reveal more than alleged reconnaissance. Witnesses told investigators that McKee made repeated threats to Monique during and after their marriage, including that he could "kill her at any time" and that "she will always be his wife." At least one witness reported that McKee allegedly strangled Monique and forced unwanted sex on her during the marriage—behaviors that domestic violence researchers identify as the strongest predictors of future lethality. The affidavit details how McKee allegedly used stolen license plates from Ohio and Arizona on his vehicle, how his cell phone went dark from December 29th until after noon on December 30th, and how his SUV was tracked arriving in Columbus before and leaving after the murders. After his arrest, investigators found fresh scrape marks where a distinctive window sticker had been removed. This is the anatomy of alleged premeditation. This is what "prior calculation and design" looks like when prosecutors lay it out. And this is the story of a woman who did everything right—left, divorced, rebuilt her life—and allegedly still couldn't escape someone who never accepted she had the right to leave.#HiddenKillers #MichaelMcKee #SpencerTepe #MoniqueTepe #UnsealedAffidavit #DomesticViolenceAwareness #TrueCrimePodcast #ColumbusOhioMurder #Stalking #AggravatedMurderJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? If you suspected that high-profile ICE raids and shootings are being used as spectacle to divide the public while the government continues policies that benefit corporations, including expanding visa programs that depress wages, you're right! In this segment, Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger argue that true immigration enforcement would target employers at farms, construction sites, hotels, and meatpacking plants, but instead authorities stage public street arrests and tackle and shoot legally armed citizens. They frame these acts as part of a broader agenda involving surveillance expansion, predictive policing, and political distraction from issues like wars, censorship, and elite misconduct. Overall, the discussion presents immigration enforcement as theater masking bipartisan corporate priorities and the growth of a security state. Plus segments on the right wing turning against DHS head Kristi Noem and Trump firing Border Patrol Commander Dan Bovino over the Minnesota shootings. Also featuring Stef Zamorano and Mike MacRae. Plus a phone call from George Clooney!
Under the authority of the Trump regime, U.S. forces carried out a series of lethal operations that critics say crossed a dangerous legal and moral line. This video breaks down allegations of extrajudicial killings linked to Trump-era policies — from U.S. airstrikes on small boats in the Caribbean, to opaque bombing campaigns in Nigeria and Venezuela, to fatal encounters between federal agents and civilians in Minnesota. At the center of the controversy is an expansive claim of presidential authority: that the president can unilaterally order killings without charges, trials, or transparent oversight. Families of victims, including the relatives of two Trinidadian fishermen killed in a U.S. strike, are now suing the U.S. government — arguing these deaths were unlawful and violated both U.S. and international law. Michael McKee is now represented by the attorney who got Dr. William Husel acquitted of fourteen murder charges by calling one witness. Diane Menashe doesn't put on defenses. She tears apart prosecutions. She's said publicly that once defense attorneys start presenting evidence, they assume the burden of proving their client innocent—so she avoids it. She lets the state's case fall on its own weight.McKee faces four counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer Tepe. The prosecution has ballistics through NIBIN linking a firearm from McKee's Chicago condo to shell casings at the crime scene. They have vehicle tracking data. Surveillance footage allegedly placing McKee in the alley behind the Tepe home. A suppressor specification carrying six additional years. No forced entry. And an eight-year gap between the divorce and the murders with no documented incidents between McKee and Monique.Defense attorney Bob Motta joins me to analyze how Menashe might attack each piece of evidence, whether the no-forced-entry problem actually helps the defense, and what the eight-year gap between divorce and murder means for both sides. We examine the prosecution's inexperience—Franklin County Prosecutor Shayla Favor is trying her first felony case ever—and whether that creates openings for a 27-year defense veteran. This is how the McKee-Tepe case is going to be fought.#MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #DianeMenashe #BobMotta #HuselAcquittal #AggravatedMurder #ColumbusOhio #NIBIN #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In response to the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, Savage warns that the United States is on the brink of a new civil war. He breaks down how the conflict has been instigated by the left and organized and well-funded by groups like the ACLU. He argues that the civil unrest is part of a broader attempt by communists to incite revolution and cause chaos throughout the nation. He points to historical instances of US presidents using the military to quell civil unrest and calls for the deployment of federal troops to stop the current chaos. Savage concludes with a dire prediction of what could happen next.

Today's episode is not the one I planned to release. I was supposed to share an interview I was excited about, but it didn't feel right to move forward after the tragic killings by ICE agents in Minnesota. Families are grieving. Communities are scared. And pretending everything is normal felt like the wrong move.In this solo emergency episode, I speak honestly about not having the right words, but choosing to not stay silent. The Healthy Project was created to shine a light on the systems that harm people, and what happened in Minnesota is not just a headline. It is state violence. It is the predictable result of a system built on fear and enforcement. This episode is about sitting with discomfort, naming what's happening, and turning awareness into action. I share why immigration enforcement has always been violent, why no human being deserves to die because of documentation status, and what you can do right now to support impacted communities. We talk about:The ICE killings in Minnesota and why this matters to all of usHow silence protects harmful systemsThe human cost behind immigration enforcementWays you can take action through education, mutual aid, and community supportThis is a heavy episode. But it's a necessary one. You don't need perfect words to show up. You just need to refuse to look away. ★ Support this podcast ★

When violent cases break, attention usually locks onto motive and emotion. But analysts often look somewhere else — at what happens after the act. In this episode of True Crime Today, retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke explains why post-offense behavior can reshape how an entire case is understood.Using publicly reported aspects of the Nick Reiner case, Robin breaks down why calm movement, decision-making, and narrative framing after an alleged crime matter. These behaviors don't cancel mental illness — but they can complicate claims about awareness and control. The episode also explores the broader context: years of treatment cycling, medication changes driven by side effects, and how prolonged instability can reset family expectations. Robin explains why families don't “miss” warning signs — they adapt to them — and how that adaptation can delay intervention until outcomes are irreversible. This discussion focuses on behavior, not excuses — and why the aftermath often tells the real story.#TrueCrimeToday #NickReiner #RobinDreeke #CrimeAnalysis #BehavioralScienceJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISDOES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? May 6, 2014. Putnam County, Georgia. After he is not heard from for over four days, the beheaded body of 88-year old Russell Dermond is discovered inside his garage and his 87-year old wife, Shirley Dermond, is missing. Ten days later, Shirley's body is discovered five miles away in Lake Oconee after she was weighed down in the water with some cinder blocks. Her cause of death is determined to blunt force trauma, but Russell's head is never recovered. Investigators are unable to uncover any strong suspects and there is nothing in the Dermonds' background to indicate why they would be the victims of such a brutal crime. In recent years, traces of unidentified touch DNA has been found on Russell's clothing, but the murders continue to remain unsolved. For our first episode of 2026, “The Trail Went Cold” explores the unsolved double homicide of an elderly couple, which is considered to be one of the most baffling cold cases of the modern era.
