This week, Lindsay and Halle revisit the 1988 Tim Burton horror/comedy Beetlejuice. Between an unhinged Michael Keaton, Lydia's spikey bangs, and Catherine O'Hara's Day-O dance scene, there's a lot to obsess over. Don't worry we also share some things we don't love (the child bride of it all), and share our childhood encounters with this movie! Plus, stay for the end of the episode where Lindsay and Halle share their current obsessions: Succession (Lindsay) and The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood (Halle). - Follow us on Instagram here. - Rent (or buy) Beetlejuice here. - Check out Succession on HBO here. - Listen to the Pusha T Succession remix here. - Check out The Love Hypothesis on Goodreads here, or purchase it here.
Can you believe there's still a whole week to celebrate the spooky times?! The DM can't so she called in her friends to help her celebrate by creating their very own scary stories! We rounded out Spooky szn with a double header of "The Witches". I have to say.... I was underwhelmed even though I liked both? How does that make sense? It just wasn't the way to end our month of Halloween fun.. and that one is on me. Also, Anne Hathaway's accent in the remake will haunt me for years to come.
Even in the age of science and reason, we're all still fascinated by stories of specters from the beyond. Ghosts may be easily dismissed as folklore or superstition in the light of day, But our tune changes in the middle of the night. It's dark, you're all alone, and the things that seem impossible in the sunlight are suddenly very, very real. In our Halloween episode, we're recording at one of the most haunted places in America to ask ourselves: Why do we still believe in ghosts? We're digging into the history of visitors from beyond the grave, the potential explanations science has for our favorite scary stories, and why we just can't seem to give up our ghosts. This weeks story is all about how when life changes things can sometimes get spooky. Death by Monsters is a comedy show all about Monsters, Mysteries and the Unknown. We delve into the paranormal, the unexplained, true crime and of course the occasional conspiracy. It features Paula Deming, Nick Murphy and Matthew Jude.
It's a Halloween edition of Danish and O'Neill! Remember, please check candy for razors, foreign objects, and other tom foolery! We start the show with a quick update on a topic from episode 318: Chuck Liddell's arrest. We set the record straight, as Chucky wasn't charged with anything. That leads us right into talking about Connie Mac making headlines again by allegedly assaulting an Italian DJ (one who lives in Italy, not some guy in Long Island or the Jersey Shore). Then, there's a SPOOKY update about friend of the show, John J. Little. Please, send peaceful non-ghost/non-dog attack vibes John's way during this trying time. And also thoughts and prayers to the poor maintenance man at his hotel, too! After that, it's the classic example of a lawyer trying a hilarious Halloween prank (that others didn't find very funny at all). After that, it's the mysterious case of a ninja, who causes chaos during a military training exercise. Can this man be stopped? What does he want? Do you know who he is? What about his family? These questions will make sense if you listen. If they don't, ask a listening buddy for help, and they'll explain it. Then, it's off to the Daddy Man's favorite place, Tik Tok, where a woman details a not-so-nice Halloween trick she was on the receiving end of. Speaking of tricks, another laaaaady, ran onto a football field of minors wearing nothing but a scarf. Hear her defense and see if you side with her. Who knows, maybe you'll be on the jury! You can never be too prepared. This somehow leads into a long riff-athon about what it would be like if Earl "the Daddyman" Skakel went to prison. We end with a quick Dog the "bounty hunter" (that should ALWAYS have to be in quotations...you know why!) update. This one will fit nicely in your pillowcase or plastic pumpkin full of candy. Welcome to another fine service here at Creepy Cove Community Church. The only horror themed church on the planet...surely?This is the FULL SERVICE...if you just want the 'sermon/ talk' then check out the SERMON ONLY VERSION next to this one. Rupert Donk opens tonights service with some devastating news about the churches coffee machine...the poltergeist has struck once again! Then we have a very special guest who takes the stage for an interview...yes, we hear from the lovely Father Paul Hill who is taking over from Monsignor Pruitt over on Crockett Island. Father Paul is heading off to Crockett tomorrow, so he has joined our humble church to draw some spiritual inspiration from our congregation. But will he make it through the interview without collapsing? In the interview, he and Rupert discuss how moist Monsignor Pruitt's armpits are, and how this 'unpleasant' bodily feature has led to great wonders.Next we are delighted to have our Bible reading from Lyssiah, who hails from the nearby town of Twin Peaks. After that Peter takes the stage to speak to us on the topic of Dealing With Rejection...sharing a few times he has struggled with rejection himself...but we learn how it does not have to define us. After a Crockett Island themed prayer and meditation, it's over to Father Paul again who turns out to be a most talented troubadour. For he sings a little self-penned ditty for us about his new role at St Saviours on Crockett. A full on cheese fest song called 'I Feel Okay'.Finally, Rupert and Peter discuss the challenges of toe-tapping and maritime drinks before retiring to the bar.And that completes another pleasant and hopefully encouraging service from the windswept church on the peak. We very much hope you enjoyed your time with us...thanks for coming!Note: If you'd like to support the show and help keep it free, please check out www.patreon.com/creepycove. Russia are known for their supposed experiments... Whether they're technological, nuclear or human. But this experiment known as The Russian Sleep Experiement has become one of the must disturbing and scary Creepy Pastas out there on the internet! The Russian Sleep Experiment is a creepypasta which tells the tale of five test subjects being exposed to an experimental sleep-inhibiting stimulant in a Soviet-era scientific experiment, which has become the basis of the urban legend. The story centers around five political prisoners who, on a promise of freedom once the experiment is complete, go through a horrifying experience. The initial sleep experiment begins normally as the test subjects are kept awake using a gas to keep them awake... but as the test continues the test chamber is filled with screams. Then all of a sudden... falls silent. When the scientists open the chamber they're met with something so gruesome that I dare not even type it. Enjoy this particularly dark episode of Spooky Burrito.

We discuss the follow up to 2018's Halloween, not to be confused with 1978's Halloween which that is the sequel to, or 2007's Halloween that was a remake and has nothing to do with this lineage of movies - 'Halloween Kills'What did you think of the movie? How would you rank the Halloween movies? Do you want the sequel to this movie?Join the conversation on Twitter: @MACandGUpodcastBUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!Mac gives his thoughts about DC Fandome & more!

Happy Friday BOOs! This week on Balls Deep, Arielle is busy being alone, Rachel has flashbacks to Catholic school, and the girls debate what makes a vampire fuckable. In schmooze, the hosts chat about poo-phoria, why Sex and the City wasn't feminist, and Hollywood's hottest couples. For the listeners, the girls explain why watching porn ISN'T cheating and reveal some of the Blue Baller's sex horror stories. Later on, Rachel shares some stats on rising dating show viewership and falling marriage rates and Arielle talks about three shitty Spanish men who posed as a female author. Guh-ross! Hold onto your broomsticks y'all, shit's about to get spooky! Hollywood Psychic Medium Patti Negri joins the girls to spill all the saucy stories in her cauldron—from conducting a seance at age eight to conjuring the spirit of Marilyn Monroe. She tells us about the different ways people have sex with ghosts and why she thinks Ouija boards shouldn't be sold in toy stores. Listen up, and don't forget to suspend your disbelief! Okay, so… a Blue Baller gained weight during Covid (relatable) and is afraid of catfishing her dating app suitors, and another listener wants to test the submissive waters but has no idea where to start. This week, in Skamania, Washington, where a bloodbath is discovered, in a local home, on New Year's Day. There are several bodies, and several loose ends, including a missing teenager, and a sick grandpa, who is incapable of speech, and can't be relied upon as a witness. The scene is horrific, with the walls, bathed in blood, but the crime scene, and everything else in this case, are handled terribly, possibly because it was literally the Sheriff's first day on the job! Missing evidence, botched tests... So, was it a stranger, or a teen, murdering his whole family & committing necrophillia on his big sister? Either way, there are no good answers here! Along the way, we find out that Washington takes it's timber very seriously, that some people who don't have any friends, also have an awful lot of friends, and your first day on any job shouldn't include finding three dead bodies!!
