It then becomes what we can DO for God rather than who we can BE with God. 3 myths of Calling: 1. If you're called to something, God will open the doors, and everything will be easy. (2Timothy 1:6-9 and 4: 5-8) 2. You were made for this and this alone. 3. Use ir or lost it! (Romans 11:29) Four CALLING PRINCIPLES: 1. God will purge out anything that keeps us from His call (Isaiah 6) 2. Your identity enables your calling - your calling is not your identity. (Exodus 3/4) 3. Disappointment and discouragement can lead to greater revelation of God's glory. (Exodus 32:1-5) 4. Your calling spans over a life-time... until you take your last breath. (Joshua 14: 7-12)

The Deep Week 3 (Jan. 29, 2018) Houston , TX. A true breakthrough involves coming to the point of divine hope where you no longer act or react towards your circumstances in the same way. In a breakthrough, God either changes your circumstances, or changes YOU in the midst of them; either way... it's a breakthrough. Types of breakthroughs: -Relational -Personal -Purposeful -Financial -Spiritual The entire point of a breakthrough is to usher you into a more intimate trust in God, not to necessarily make your circumstances easier. Signs you're on the brink of a breakthrough: -Hunger for God's Word or for the things of God -Aware of sin and selfish ambition -Change in job, responsibilities, family or church dynamics, atmosphere of home or workplace -Bursts of energy and Godly expectation Story of Breakthrough: Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1 Process of Breakthrough: -I'm afflicted and crying out to you Lord -I will have a role in this breakthrough I'm requesting -I don't care who's watching -I've been pushed to a point of desperation -I'm no longer sad. I have release as I trust you Lord
