Kieran Bingham was apart of the second group of students at Hobsonville Point Secondary School, starting in 2014 with just 2 year groups, Kieran shares his experience being at a brand new school, building the school culture and what sport was like. Kieran graduated in 2019, and was the Head Boy at Hobsonville Point Secondary. Kieran was also the starting Point Guard for the Senior team, which won the Under 19 League 1 North Harbour Championship. Kieran shares his experience of his final season at high school and what it was like to win a championship.
In today's episode of the podcast, we have Luke Taikoko, a barber at Maloneys Barbershop, sharing his journey with basketball. Starting from when he started hooping, playing through the age groups at the representative level and competing for national titles, as well as his experience with secondary school basketball. Luke attended Kelston Boys, and was apart of the 3rd and 4th place teams during 2006/2007, playing with guys like Houston O'Riley and Ross Mcmains, as well as facing players like Corey Webster, Brook Ruscoe and many other current NBL/Pro level players.
