After wrestling with some haunted audio gremlins, the hosts dive headfirst into the latest Unearthed Arcana drop from Wizards of the Coast, which brings a trio of spooky new subclass options to the D&D table. First up: the Artificer Reanimator, which asks the important question, “What if your sidekick was a science experiment?” With mechanics that feel like equal parts Frankenstein and Excel spreadsheet, the gang unpacks the subclass's vibes, power level, and general corpse-hugging potential. Next, they dig into the Hollow Warden Ranger, a subclass so reliant on Hunter's Mark that it might as well come with a branded tattoo. Spoiler: there's one way to build it, and WotC really wants you to take that path. The group debates its narrow design, interesting healing mechanics, and whether you can actually play it without needing a second concentration slot stapled to your forehead. Then it's time for a séance with the Grave Domain Cleric and College of Spirits Bard—both bearing mechanical changes that sparked nostalgia, mild rage, and Bardic action economy debates worthy of a dissertation. Turns out when you nerf old faves, the ghosts of playtesters past come back to haunt you. Hexblade Warlock is having a full-blown identity crisis and might need a long rest… or therapy. Undead Warlock is both buffed and nerfed, which is somehow the most D&D thing imaginable. Ravenloft still slaps. LaMortia is creepy, cold, and full of subclass inspiration. Player feedback is a literal mechanic now—give it, or don't complain when your subclass becomes unrecognizable. Game design needs to stop making subclasses feel like assembly instructions from IKEA. Weapon Mastery and auras may help salvage narrow builds, but only just. Multiclassing into Nature Cleric can make your Ranger feel like it got invited to the cool kids' table. The Orlando Pride stopped their skid with a 3-1 win at Utah, but it was far from a crisp performance, even if they outplayed the Royals in the first half. The second half was about managing things and fighting the effects of the altitude, but there wasn't much to say about it other than it took place and no more goals were scored. Friday's performance was a step in the right direction entering the international break, but more must be done to prepare for tougher games ahead.Barbra Banda scored the first hat trick in club history to lead the way, and the only other true threat to the goal was Ally Watt — off the rebound of a saved Banda shot. The offense still needs some work, and not all defenses will allow Banda the acres of space the Royals provided for the star striker to run into. Still, it was a win by multiple goals on the road, and that's always a good thing.We break down Orlando's win on Friday in Utah, look back at our surprisingly accurate (for one of us) score predictions, and make our selections for Player of the Match. I know you'll be shocked by our decision on that front.There are a couple more Orlando players on their way to their national teams, as Emily Sams and Kerry Abello were named to the USWNT for the upcoming window. Chris Lee and Alfred Ezman look at the field of four in the Knoxville Regional and give picks. Topics include: Defending national champion Tennessee has struggled with defense and pitching lately. But Andrew Fischer and Gavin Kilen remain tough outs, freshman Levi Clark has flashed big things, and the Vols have a bunch of talented bats like Dean Curley and others, too. The Volunteers' fate will depend on ace Liam Doyle, starters Marcus Phillips and AJ Russell, and a bullpen with experienced flamethrowers like Brandon Arvidson and Nate Snead. Tennessee has the talent to repeat as national champions, but can it find consistency? Second-seeded Wake Forest is led by future first-round MLB pick Marek Houston at short, and had four other double-digit home-run hitters in Jack Winery (14), Kade Lewis (11), Dalton Wentz (10) and Matt Scannell (10). The Deamon Deacons also have a talented ace in righty Blake Morningstar at the top of the rotation, and lefty Matthew Dallas (who transferred from Tennessee) also starting in the rotation. Can the Demon Deacons put together a run this tournament starting in Knoxville? Cincinnati makes a rare NCAA Tournament appearance, but the Bearcats stole 127 bases (led by Landon Vidourek's 37) and have the Big 12 Player of the year in Kerrington Cross(.399/.525/.657) manning third. Whether or not the Bearkats do damage may depend on how arms Nathan Taylor and Kellen O'Connor perform. Miami (Ohio) could be one of the more challenging four-seeds in the tournament. The Redhawks have a pair of quality starters in Cooper Katskee (2.66 ERA) and Carson Byers (2.65), with Katskee being great at keeping the ball in the yard. The lineup got on base throughout the order, and the big bat is Evan Applejack (19 HR).
