I can't think of a better way and more twisted way to celebrate the holiday season than by talking about the villains of The Lord of the Rings! Listen in to find out who my faves are...what's yours?

Saruman is certainly a cautionary tale, isn't it? So wrapped up in himself in his hidey-hole. We can learn so much from him...in short, don't be a dick.

Merry and Pippin kept our hearts as full as a second breakfast with the fun and the lightness they brought the Fellowship and the story of The Lord of the Rings. We could learn a thing or two from these two.

When it comes to being a kick-ass leader, you can't beat Aragorn. Or Strider. Or Ellesar, Telcontar, Thorongil, or Estel. Call him whatever you want, just don't call him late for dinner. (unless it's Éowyn's stew.)

Gimli, son of Gloin--such a diamond in the rough, a geode with glittering crystals hidden inside. A glittering crystal that burps and farts, mind you. My kind of guy.

OK, so maybe we don't have the Elven qualities of being flawless and living for thousands of years, but that doesn't mean we aren't immortal. Let's talk Legolas.

Argue with me all you want; I think ALL of the Fellowship members are the heroes of this story, but I think Frodo is the bravest.

Yo, Precious! Join me as we dig deep into the complex character that is Gollum, and how you are much more like him than you think. 

Our Shield Maiden of Rohan is such a Badass of epic proportions, isn't she? I dare you not to feel like inspired to kick some serious life-goals-ass after this episode.  Trigger warning: slumber party tricksies.
