The race is OVER! Thank you to everyone that donated to this wonderful organization. But the fundraising doesn't end at the race, you can donate all year long at: https://fdlt.memberclicks.net/donor-form#/ This week wraps up the collection of conversations we got at the Jensen Dental (https://jensendental.com/) booth at the FDLA Symposium and Expo (https://www.fdla.net/). Thank you Jensen Dental (https://jensendental.com/) for hosting us at this wonderful event. First we talk to Leah Gold, an assistant turned dental technician. Leah got into assisting while in Ohio and during the pandemic, she moves down to Florida and starts working in a in-office lab for a prosthodontist. Basically having to teach herself most of the skills, she was soon setting teeth, using exocad, and doing custom shades with MIYO (https://miyoworld.com/). Then as a BONUS, not at the FDLA, we bring back on Jade Connors, denturist out of Canada. We just talked to Jade last March at IDS and she was a day away from finding out if she won the CANDULOR KunstZahnWerk Award (https://www.candulor.com/en-us/kzw-winners-2025). Well, it turns out she did win and she comes on to talk about the process, the pains, and the wins, all while learning a new skill. Looking for a way to unlock the full potential of your digital dentistry workflow. Take it from Elise Heathcote, associate manager of digital services with Ivoclar. This is all about the Cam Academy. I'm wrestling with a realization from Justin Moore's 10K Brand Challenge - I don't have a place for my audience to hang out and connect. I'm exploring options like Slack, Discord, and Circle, but feeling stuck on which platform makes sense for parent solopreneurs and my “chaos to clarity” framework development. This is a raw, unresolved brainstorm about community building and why I think it's essential for my content strategy. This description was written by Claude. ★ Support this podcast ★

Let's start episode 733 of Secrets of Organ Playing Podcast. This question was sent by Ann and she writes:I have a related problem. I also have been working on the E flat trio sonata, and have absolutely loved working on it/playing it. But I played it in a recital recently (one movement) and I played it badly, even though it is great when I play by myself. When I started playing, my hands were actually shaking. This is the second recital this has happened to me in, the first was a Guilmant Finale. I play the piano relatively frequently in public and have never had shaking hands. But when playing the organ, which I've taken up again in the last couple of years after many years off) – the shaking hands and the fear of messing up. I can't take a permanent church job to get in more frequent public playing because of schedule issues. Should I just give up playing in public, or is there a fix for this?Get more organ playing advice at https://organduo.lt

In this Father's Day-adjacent episode of the Mindset Matters podcast, hosts Patrick and Steffany tackle a provocative parenting truth: even with the best intentions, we inevitably program our children with the same hidden beliefs we spend adulthood trying to break. Drawing on decades of coaching thousands of young athletes and entrepreneurs, they explore how over-protection, “helicopter” habits and constant rescuing can stunt a child's resilience, self-worth and ability to navigate adversity. Key discussion points include: Limiting Beliefs & Mindset Feng Shui – Why phrases like “money doesn't grow on trees” or “if it wasn't for bad luck…” hard-wire scarcity and victim mentalities that linger into adulthood. Adversity as a Crucible for Growth – From Patrick's playground bullying story to Steffany's childhood swim lesson, the hosts show how momentary struggle forges confidence and problem-solving skills. Parent vs. Best Friend – The cost of prioritising perpetual comfort over boundaries, team dynamics and real-world consequences. Role-Model Mechanics – Sons learn how to treat women from how mothers set boundaries; daughters often choose partners mirroring (or intentionally opposing) dad's behaviour. Mentorship & Community – Why seeking outside role-models can offset a parent's blind spots and expand a child's 400,000 in-born traits. You'll leave with actionable reflection questions: Where might you be shielding your kids from healthy discomfort? Which subconscious scripts from your own upbringing still shape daily decisions? And most importantly, what new boundaries or growth opportunities can you introduce so your children build the resilience, values and mindset to thrive without you? Perfect for dads, mums, coaches and anyone interested in mindset coaching, personal development, parenting tips, resilience training and self-limiting belief breakthroughs, this conversation offers both heartfelt stories and practical wisdom.

Most people mess up their relationships from the start because they get into them the wrong way, with the wrong person, and for the wrong reasons. Most people don't love themselves but they're trying to love others. Some people carry flames still burning for an ex into their new relationships. Welcome back to the kitchen table. It's easy to believe the lie: I could so easily mess my kids up.You feel unequipped, uncertain, and the voice in your head whispers, you're going to get this wrong. The pressure is everywhere—social media, parenting books, comparison. It all points to some impossible gold standard of motherhood, convincing you that if you don't get it exactly right, you'll fail your children. But your motherhood was never meant to look like anyone else's.God leads you in motherhood. He makes promises, and he keeps them. Colossians 1 reminds us that he is the one who equips us fully. He holds it all—your strengths, your struggles, your children's needs. There isn't a gold standard of motherhood that matters. There is a God-standard. And, he promises to walk with you through it all.You can let go of the fear that you'll mess your kids up, because he is in control. Your job isn't perfection—it's trust. Walk with him in raising your children, and rest in the truth that he is more than enough.Learning the Art of Gospel Discipline ConversationsThis 4-week private podcast and workbook course teaches you how to approach discipline with a framework that goes beyond correcting behavior. If you're constantly walking on eggshells, worried that every parenting mistake might leave lasting damage, you're not alone. But what if this hyper-awareness of 'trauma' is actually the real problem? For decades, taking the birth control pill to prevent pregnancy was seen as a no-brainer. But lately, people are saying that it's actually a brain-changer. They say that the pill can affect who you're attracted to, that it can tank your libido, and that it can make you depressed. Instead, some influencers are telling us to try an amazing, hormone-free method — where all you have to do is listen to your body. So … are they right?? We're tackling these birth control claims and more, with psychologist Dr. Julia Stern, biologist Madita Zetzsche, neuroscientist Dr. Caitlin Taylor, and ob-gyn Dr. Jasmine Patel. This episode does mention depression. Hello my dear high performance human... question for you: what do you do when you've found yourself in a spot where you're disappointed in your own self? Where you've let yourself down, not lived up to your own standards of being, and otherwise not shown up as the person you want to be? There's a good chance you find yourself neck deep in a shame/guilt spiral that has you silencing yourself and, over time, playing even smaller and showing up even less. I know this because I am you, I've been there/done that/got the t-shirt, and have a couple of thoughts on how we can show up in our disappointment with ourselves and taking both radical accountability and compassionate steps forward and get back on track to being exactly who we know we can be.
