Knowing The Holy Spirit

This is a scary but very important passage in the New Testament about the judgement of God within the church. The passage is Acts 5:3-5. Many would expect this to be in the Old Testament scriptures but it goes to show God is not to be played with. We are finally in the New Testament! The first place that the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the NT is in Matthew 1:18 and we see he is the one who put Jesus in Mary‘s womb.  He is the giver of physical and spiritual life! Here are the scriptural references I used: Matthew 1:18-20, Job 33:4, Job 34:14-15, and 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Just a heads up I briefly mentioned Calvinism/reformed theology/the doctrines of grace in regards to regeneration/being born again. I don't hold to Calvinism/reformed theology but I wanted to be clear that I don't believe any Christian plays a part in their salvation in terms of meriting salvation because of faith (synergism is a word that Calvinists use to describe that God rewards us for our faith). I realize the topic of Calvinism is controversial but this conversation about salvation is of utmost importance. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives us this new birth that the scriptures talk about in the old and new testaments. This is the last episode going over Isaiah 11:2 and it's about The Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the LORD. This verse and passages in revelation refer to the "seven spirits of God." Seek the person behind true wisdom and understanding and not just pursue wisdom and understanding. The Holy Spirit is to be sought after because he is personal and he is Holy.
