The word /fika/ is used as both a noun and verb, and is derived from the Swedish word for coffee. The Swedish coffee break is a moment to literally leave work behind,. Taken at 3 in the afternoon, it's not a strategy for multi-tasking, or for fitting in another mini-meeting; it's a chance to relax in the company of colleagues or friends. the key is to pause your day. So brew up some coffee, grab a seat and embrace fika. My first guest is Tim Lauridsen, Tim is a long time resident of the Anza Valley and hails from a family of 1950's homesteaders. He is known for growing native plants, building in a sustainable style, his volunteer work within the community and his artistic talents. He also has hiked probably more trails then most. Welcome, Tim Lauridsen...
