Weekly postings of the Sermons from Market Street Church in Walled Lake, Michigan
In Peace of Mind, we will look at how some familiar names in scripture dealt with many of the same struggles we face today. We'll learn how they overcame those struggles not through their own strength, but by depending on God.
It's the firsts in our lives that we remember the most. First car, paycheck, child's birth, baby's steps etc. The word of God gives us some “firsts” as well, and when we prioritize these important things before anything else, it's a life changing experience.
A baby in a manger was our heavenly Father's way of making a way for everyone to find the way to heaven.

Between the two testaments was a 400 year period of time during which, so far as we know, God did not speak—no Scripture was written, literally 146,000 silent nights. But it did not mean God stopped working; as a matter of fact it was His work behind the scenes and in the silence that He was preparing the world for its greatest gift. A child was born to us, a Son was given and His name is Jesus.

A rally cap is a baseball cap worn inside-out or in another unconventional way by players and fans to will a team to a come-from-behind-victory. This baseball tradition highlights the unity between fans and team members alike as both are willing to put ego aside to get behind their team. Most days it feels like we are playing from behind...but let's not give up so easily! Let's put on the rally cap, make some unconventional changes inside-out and go for the win each day.
