Welcome to the first episode of our new Fruit of the Spirit series!
You can't white-knuckle the fruit of the Spirit into existence and you don't have to fake it until you feel it. This short devotional centers on a freeing truth: the fruit of the Spirit is not an emotional response, it is God in you. We slow down long enough to let that reality settle your nervous system and re-anchor your identity in being deeply loved and securely held. We walk through each fruit with spoken blessings you can pray, repeat, or simply receive. The closing prayer asks for spirit, soul, and body to come into full alignment with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so the beauty of God's character becomes visible in your everyday life. If this devotional helps you breathe again, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steady hope, and leave a review so more people can find it.

In this podcast episode Mark and Cindy bring Galatians chapter 5 to a vivid and practical conclusion, contrasting the “works of the flesh” with the “fruit of the Spirit” in a way that challenges listeners to examine their daily lives, explaining how destructive behaviors—ranging from selfish ambition to unchecked anger and indulgence—stand in direct opposition to the Spirit-led life, ultimately leading away from God's kingdom. In contrast, the episode highlights the beautiful, unified character produced by the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control, among others, emphasizing that faithful believers belong to Christ, having crucified their old nature. The message calls listeners to actively walk in step with the Spirit, cultivating godly character and rejecting pride and comparison. Ultimately, it's a call to transformation—living a life that visibly reflects God's nature from the inside out, all to His glory in preparation to meet Him face to face in the last day to eternally bask in the wonder of His immediate presence.
This week's episode from Galatians 5:22–26 focuses on the Fruit of the Spirit and the truth that real spiritual transformation comes not through human effort, but through the work of the Holy Spirit in those who belong to Christ. Using the imagery of trees and fruit, we saw that good fruit is the result of being made a “new creation” in Christ and then remaining close in relationship with Him by faith. Rather than trying harder in our own strength, believers are called to keep in step with the Spirit through our relationship with Him, which can be developed through Hearing God's Word with faith, Spending Time with God, Fellowshipping with the Saints, Sharing the gospel with the lost. We also explored how the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our lives for the glory of God and the blessing of others.
DTWOL… Parents! is a heartfelt and sobering dive into the eternal responsibility of discipleship within the home. Through Scripture, personal testimony, and practical truth lived in motion, this Godcast challenges parents to awaken to the spiritual influence shaping the hearts and minds of their children every single day. From correction and consistency… to marriage, spiritual leadership, repentance, grace, and generational stewardship… listeners are reminded that children are watching footprints long before they understand theology. And while no parent walks perfectly, the only true God is able to transform hearts, homes, and future generations through faithful discipleship rooted in Jesus Christ. Because parenting is more than raising children for today… it is participating in the future workmanship of disciples yet to come. God's Word: Key passages: Deuteronomy 6:6–7, Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:4, Joshua 24:15, and Galatians 6:9. Additional Scripture references are woven throughout the Godcast and can be gleaned from the full transcript. Amen? Email: walkingtheway3@gmail.com

Fruit of the Spirit - Sushil Kumar. 03/05/26
Discover a powerful sermon on the Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness, preached in St. Charles.
The sermon centers on the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22–23, emphasizing that these qualities—love, joy, and peace—are not moral achievements but supernatural graces produced by the Holy Spirit in every believer, serving as evidence of genuine salvation and spiritual assurance. Rooted in the contrast between the deeds of the flesh and the Spirit's work, the sermon argues that these fruits are inseparable, foundational, and inherently present in all Christians, not as a result of human effort but as a divine transformation from within. Love, defined as agape—self-giving, sacrificial, and holy—is presented as the greatest virtue, reflecting God's own nature and motivating righteous action even in difficult circumstances. Joy is portrayed not as fleeting happiness dependent on circumstances, but as a deep, abiding contentment rooted in God's unchanging character, sovereignty, and the certainty of salvation. Peace is understood as an objective reality of reconciliation with God, not merely the absence of conflict, enabling believers to face trials with confidence, knowing they are secure in Christ's victory. Ultimately, the message calls believers to abide in Christ, trusting the Spirit to cultivate these fruits, which together form the foundation of a life that glorifies God and bears lasting fruit.
This message was preached by Pastor Brock on May 10, 2026.

Today we continue our powerful Christ in me series, and we're excited for the next message: “The Fruit of the Spirit: God's Character Formed in You.” So often we focus on what we should do as believers, but God is deeply interested in who we are becoming. Through the Holy Spirit, He is shaping His character within us—producing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This message will be both practical and personal, helping you recognize how the Holy Spirit is working in your daily life to transform you from the inside out.
Sermon from Titus 3:3-5 in St. Charles, IL
The sermon centers on the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, emphasizing that the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—is not a product of human effort or moral striving, but the inevitable and invariable result of regeneration and the indwelling presence of the Spirit. Rooted in Galatians 5:22–23 and contrasted with the deeds of the flesh, this fruit is presented as a unified, holistic evidence of genuine salvation, not a checklist of achievements, and stands in stark contrast to the world's counterfeit versions of these virtues. The sermon underscores that while Christians still struggle with sin, their lives are fundamentally changed by grace, and good works are the natural outflow of justification, not its basis, thereby affirming the biblical doctrine of salvation by faith alone. It warns against confusing spiritual gifts with the fruit of the Spirit and rejects any notion that final salvation depends on human performance, instead affirming that true transformation is God's work, sustained by His grace and evidenced in a life increasingly conformed to Christ's likeness.

Sermon on patience in St. Charles, IL
"What does true Christian transformation actually look like?In this sermon on Galatians 5:22–26, we examine the fruit of the Spirit and the nature of sanctification. While justification is by faith alone, the gospel does not leave us unchanged. Those united to Christ are given a new nature—and that new nature necessarily bears fruit. We explore the distinction between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit, the difference between spiritual gifts and spiritual graces, and the twofold dynamic of sanctification: mortification and vivification. Each aspect of the fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—is unpacked as evidence of the Spirit's work in the believer. This passage also anchors sanctification firmly in Christ's finished work. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh, and those who live by the Spirit must walk in step with the Spirit. The call is clear: not self-reliant moralism, but Spirit-wrought transformation flowing from union with Christ.#Galatians5 #FruitOfTheSpirit #Sanctification #ReformedTheology #ChristianLiving #HolySpirit #JustificationByFaith #BiblicalPreaching"

In the middle of busy, demanding days, it's easy to try to force growth in our own strength. This guided Lectio Divina invites you to slow down and rediscover a different way—the way of the Spirit. Centered on Galatians 5:22–23, this contemplative experience gently leads you through the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.Through four movements—listen, reflect, respond, and rest—you'll engage Scripture not as something to master, but as a space to encounter God. With soft guidance and unhurried silence, you'll be invited to notice what word or phrase draws your attention and how the Spirit may be forming something new within you. This practice reminds us that spiritual fruit is not something we produce—it is something God grows in us as we remain open, present, and connected to Him.
