Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following Jesus—but it's also one of the places where God does His deepest work. In this episode of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we're talking about patience—not as passive waiting, but as active trust in God's perfect timing. Whether you're waiting for healing, a relationship, answered prayers, direction, or a breakthrough, this conversation is for you. We'll walk through what biblical patience really means, why waiting can feel so difficult, and how God used seasons of waiting to shape some of the most influential people in Scripture—including Abraham, Joseph, David, Moses, Hannah, Job, and even Jesus. The Fruit of the Spirit is a three-week sermon series from Galatians 5:2223 that explores how the Holy Spirit transforms believers from the inside out. Rather than something we strive to produce on our own, spiritual fruit grows naturally as we remain connected to Jesus. The series begins by focusing on the inward work of the Spirit through love, joy, and peacerevealing how God shapes our hearts beyond circumstances. It then moves into the outward expression of that transformation in our relationships through patience, kindness, and goodness. Finally, it explores the marks of a Spirit-led life through faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, showing how a surrendered life reflects the character of Christ in everyday living.
In this episode of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we're talking about peace—what it is, where it comes from, and why so many of us struggle to experience it. The world tells us peace comes from having the right circumstances, enough money, a perfect schedule, or freedom from stress. But the Bible offers a very different picture. Biblical peace isn't the absence of problems—it's the presence of God in the middle of them. We explore the meaning of the Hebrew word shalom and the Greek word eirēnē, discuss the difference between worldly peace and God's peace, and look at what Scripture teaches about living with confidence, rest, and trust in Christ even when life feels uncertain. Whether you're battling anxiety, walking through a difficult season, or simply longing for more peace in your everyday life, this conversation will encourage you to fix your eyes on the One who is our peace. What peace actually means in the Bible The difference between worldly peace and biblical peace Why peace is a Fruit of the Spirit How anxiety and peace compete for our attention What Jesus promised about peace in John 14 and John 16 How prayer unlocks peace according to Philippians 4 Why peace is found in surrender, not control Practical ways to cultivate peace in your daily life Galatians 5:22–23 Isaiah 26:3 John 14:27 John 16:33 Romans 5:1 Philippians 4:6–7 Colossians 3:15 Ephesians 2:14 "The world defines peace as the absence of conflict. The Bible defines peace as the presence of God." What is stealing your peace right now—and have you surrendered it to God?

Some days feel like one long interruption: missed buses, forgotten lunchboxes, nonstop meetings, long lines, and traffic that won't move. In moments like these, frustration rises fast—and patience can disappear even faster. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reminds us that we cannot generate long-suffering patience through sheer willpower. Only the Holy Spirit can pour that patience into our hearts until it becomes a defining trait—not a forced performance. Dr. Youssef also reframes how the fruit of the Spirit becomes visible. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control aren't proven when life is easy—they're revealed when the heat is on. Joy shows up in joyless situations. Peace shines when circumstances don't make sense. Patience appears when someone (or something) is actively trying your patience. As you abide in Christ and yield moment by moment to the Spirit's leadership, He produces real fruit—consistently. At the core of Christian patience is an unshakeable conviction: God is sovereign, and He is at work in the lives of His children. You are not forgotten or forsaken, no matter how chaotic your day becomes. This episode will encourage you to trust God's hand in the small pressures of daily life—and let the Spirit grow patience that reflects Jesus. Prayer: God, thank You that no matter what comes my way, You have not forgotten nor forsaken me. Help my life to exhibit Christian patience even in the most trying circumstances. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Abiding for Health: The Fruit of The Spirit | The Hygiene of My Heart (Week 8)Description:Are you exhausted from trying to "fix" your behavior? Do you feel like your spiritual life is stuck in a construction zone, constantly trying to force changes that don't seem to last?In this final, high-impact message of "The Hygiene of My Heart" series, Pastor Charlie Grimes concludes our clinical soul assessment by revealing exactly what a fully healthy, thriving heart looks like. We step out of the diagnostic lab and into the vineyard to discover that spiritual wholeness isn't a behavior we construct; it's a harvest God cultivates!Building on the foundation laid throughout this eight-week journey, we integrate our unique medical and biblical diagnostic tools to understand:
Everyone wants to be happy. But few discover true JOY. Joy is the exhilarating feeling of well-being. But unlike simply being happy, joy is not dependent on the circumstances around us. True joy comes from WITHIN us!
How can joy and grief exist together? In this powerful message, hear Pastor Ron preach on joy as a fruit of the Spirit, out of Galatians 5:22-23. Be encouraged this week as you spend time with the Lord.

In DTWOL... ACTIVE Participant? We'll dive into what it truly means to be an ACTIVE Participant in the only true God's redemptive plan for fallen humanity. Through the gospel, the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, and the transforming power of God's living and active Word, we discover that discipleship is far more than attendance, observation, or agreement—it is active participation in the workmanship of God. From the pilot's door to the driver's door, from the home to the workplace, every disciple has been specifically made, deliberately purposed, and lovingly placed to proclaim Him where ABBA has planted you. Most people may not understand all the theology, but they can surely see the evidence of God's supernatural disciple-making workmanship as His fruit becomes visible in the lives of His disciples. The question is not whether we are participating in something—but whether we are actively participating with the only true God in His eternal purpose.Key verses: 1 Corinthians 9:23-25, Romans 1:16-17, Romans 10:14-15, Philippians 2:13, Galatians 5:22-23. Additional Scripture references are woven throughout the Godcast and can be gleaned from the full transcript. Amen?Email: walkingtheway3@gmail.com

Jesus said that all the commandments in scripture were based on loving God and loving people. This message will focus on what that kind of love looks like…love that truly flows from the Heart of God to us, and then through us, to the world around us.

What matters most in life? In Mark 12, Jesus answers the biggest question we could ever ask—and His answer changes everything. This message challenges us to move beyond surface-level religion into whole-hearted surrender. Because “near the Kingdom” is not the same as “in the Kingdom.” Today is the invitation to come all the way in!
Welcome to the first episode of our new Fruit of the Spirit series!
There's no shortage of voices telling men who they should be right now and most of them are answering the wrong question. In this conversation with Zachary Wagner, author of Men of Virtue, we get underneath the culture war noise around masculinity and into something more substantive: the four concrete crises facing men and boys today, why virtue formation is better than role definition as a response, and how the fruit of the Spirit offers a more deeply human, and more countercultural, vision of manhood than anything the manosphere or the stoics are selling. This is a conversation about character, embodiment, fatherlessness, meaning, and what it might look like for men to be formed into something more Christ-like.Zachary is an author, ordained minister, and New Testament scholar. He grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in a homeschooling family as the fourth of six siblings, an environment that sparked his lifelong love of languages, ideas, and reading. After completing degrees from the Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College. Zachary and his family moved to Oxford, England, in 2020 for him to pursue a DPhil (PhD) in New Testament studies. His research focused on the theme of reward in the letters of Paul and the Gospel of Matthew, and he successfully defended his thesis in 2025.He published his first book, Non-Toxic Masculinity: Recovering Healthy Male Sexuality, in 2023 with InterVarsity Press. His second book, Men of Virtue: How the Fruit of the Spirit Forms Male Character in the Modern World, will release from Brazos Press in May 2026. He is currently pursuing publication for his DPhil thesis, as well as a further writing and research projects on Christianity and Stoicism.Zachary was ordained for gospel ministry in 2022 and has over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience. You can't white-knuckle the fruit of the Spirit into existence and you don't have to fake it until you feel it. This short devotional centers on a freeing truth: the fruit of the Spirit is not an emotional response, it is God in you. We slow down long enough to let that reality settle your nervous system and re-anchor your identity in being deeply loved and securely held. We walk through each fruit with spoken blessings you can pray, repeat, or simply receive. The closing prayer asks for spirit, soul, and body to come into full alignment with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so the beauty of God's character becomes visible in your everyday life. If this devotional helps you breathe again, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steady hope, and leave a review so more people can find it.
