But in pediatrics, we also know that water can become dangerous in seconds, often quietly and without warning. Drowning remains one of the leading causes of preventable death in children, and recent updates from the American Academy of Pediatrics reinforce that prevention must be layered, proactive and tailored. In this episode, we explore how pediatricians can support drowning prevention, because some of the most important work in pediatrics happens long before an emergency occurs.   We are joined by Jason Woods, MD. He specializes in emergency medicine at Children's Hospital Colorado and is the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Yann Guignon embodies a rare path, at the crossroads of worlds and histories. Franco-Gabonese by adoption—under the guidance of Professor Jean Noël Gassita—and by marriage, he has spent over two decades building a unique bridge between Africa and the West, between living traditions and modernity. His commitment began in 2004, when he entered an initiatory journey within several Gabonese rites. Initiated into Bwiti in 2006, he gradually developed a deep relationship with traditional knowledge holders. Over the years, this involvement led to his recognition as a guardian of tradition, and to his appointment as International Ambassador of the Association Maghanga Ma Nzambé, an organization dedicated to preserving and transmitting Gabonese traditional medicine. But his journey goes far beyond a personal quest. As a consultant in intercultural mediation and sustainable development, he is actively engaged in addressing a deeper issue: the need to repair the imbalances inherited from the colonial history between the West and Africa. His approach is grounded in a strong conviction: traditional knowledge systems are neither archaic nor folkloric—they are fully-fledged systems of knowledge that must be recognized, protected, and fairly valued. As scientific and industrial interest in iboga and ibogaine continues to grow, he was among the first to raise concerns about potential risks: knowledge extraction, marginalization of traditional communities, and unequal distribution of value. Where others see a market, he sees responsibility. He went on to found Blessings of the Forest, an NGO dedicated to the conservation of Gabon's cultural and natural heritage. Through this work, he strives to build concrete bridges between local communities, institutions, and international stakeholders, advocating for models based on equity, reciprocity, and respect for international frameworks such as the Nagoya Protocol. Both in the field and on the international stage, he carries a distinct voice—that of a mediator, at once witness, actor, and bridge-builder. A voice that reminds us that behind every molecule studied, there is a story, a culture, and communities that must not be rendered invisible. This week, we discuss recent housing market releases and the Federal Open Market Committee's latest decision under its new chair, Kevin Warsh. Housing starts fell to their lowest level since April 2020, at the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic. Much of the decline was driven by multifamily construction, a notoriously volatile component of the data. Even so, the report is consistent with broader evidence that the housing market continues to lose momentum. Mr. Warsh also held his first press conference as Federal Reserve chair. Among the more visible changes were a shorter policy statement, the decision to withhold his own projection from the Summary of Economic Projections, and a refusal to provide forward guidance. Beneath these procedural changes lies a potentially more significant shift in leadership style. Mr. Warsh has emphasized that policy decisions will emerge from what he describes as a "good family fight" while reaffirming the central bank's commitment to achieving its inflation target. Although a less transparent approach may ultimately lead to better policy outcomes, the immediate effect is to introduce an additional layer of uncertainty into an economy that already faces no shortage of it.

The message also underscores the importance of DEDICATION TO JESUS CHRIST above all else, reminding believers that faith must be lived out with PURPOSE, PASSION, and SACRIFICE. Through PERSONAL DEVOTION, fathers receive the strength, WISDOM, and ANOINTING needed to lead effectively, as their authority flows from their intimate relationship with their HEAVENLY FATHER. Ultimately, this message is a call to ACTION—encouraging believers that it is NEVER TOO LATE to change, to STEP UP, and to build or rebuild a LEGACY OF FAITH. By choosing OBEDIENCE, CONSISTENCY, and SPIRITUAL INTENTIONALITY, families can create a lasting SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE marked by FAITH, COURAGE, REPENTANCE, and GENERATIONAL IMPACT, ensuring that the truth of God is passed down and that future generations are equipped to LIVE FOR CHRIST and GLORIFY GOD in all they do.

Relationships can be hard. We have broken relationships all around us because we are all so human.  Yet God shares with us His vision for a church living in unity as a family in Psalm 133.  There, David shares how sweet this experience can be. We will spend our time exploring the rich guidance scripture provides for addressing fractures in these relationships, so that we can experience Psalm 133 goodness more and more in our relationships.
