Hosted by Laura and Katie, Media Room is two friends talking about whatever is entertaining them - from big-budget movies and scripted tv shows to craptastic reality tv, books, podcasts and music...there's a little something for everyone.
What a glorious week for reality tv! Bravo premiered The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and we are officially HOOKED! These women are giving us what we need: petty drama, questionable fashion, lots of money and (of course) lip filler. What more could you need?? To top it off, Filthy Rich is still nonstop action. Ahh...finally some good stuff in 2020.Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast.Thanks for listening!Katie & Laura
Hey everyone! This is just a short hello episode. Katie couldn't make it this week and with work and stress and general life piling up, we're taking a break from a regular episode until next week. This past week, we finished World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji and the latest episode of Filthy Rich. Mostly we're really looking forward to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City starting next week.Back next week! Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcastThanks for listening,Katie & Laura
It's Halloween week and despite not watching a traditional horror movie, Lords of Chaos is definitely full of horrific stuff...and a Culkin! Hey, Rory!! As for our regular fare, we're imagining the hot showers and warm beds that must seem like a tantalizing mirage for the remaining teams in the adventure race on World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, and still loving Filthy Rich for giving us all its soapy goodness.Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcastThanks for listening!Katie & Laura
Yep, we're still watching World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji (that name is just way too long) and we enjoy it, but I think we're ready to get that wrapped up before the new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City starts next month. Filthy Rich was back on this week and is still a fun watch, with just completely unrealistic plot twists and over-the-top drama...and we're loving it. Also discussed: working from home, The Vow, the upcoming election, and our usual nonsense. Look, we just roll with our train of thought.Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast.Thanks!Katie & Laura
This week we're still watching World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, and we talk about the cheesy horror movie Dead Silence. We're really looking forward to next month when The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres. Thanks for listening!Katie and LauraFollow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast.
It's official - we're both loving Filthy Rich. It's fun, fast-paced, and Kim Cattrall is crushing this role. We're also still into World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji and it's wearing us out just watching these people work so hard in this adventure race - we'd never survive it! Finally, it's October and we feel like should watch a horror movie we've never seen. Any suggestions? We're at Episode 8 and we've already threatened multiple times to stop covering Darcey & Stacey, but we think we're finally serious - there are just way too many better things to watch. We are, however, still enjoying World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, despite the fact that neither of us would have survived the first 20 minutes of the race. Some new topics this week include the series premiere of Filthy Rich and the season 4 premiere of Fargo. Both worth watching for very different reasons. We're both looking forward to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premiere in November. Thanks for listening! Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast.
Alternate title: Sugar Wants to Taste Honey. One of the worst lines ever in a garbage show.Laura and Katie continue to slog through Darcey & Stacey, while they really enjoy World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, and are terrified by the dystopia predicted in The Social Dilemma. Please everyone, turn off notifications and #saveflorian!Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast
After a quick breakdown of the latest episode of Darcey & Stacey, we delve into episode 1 of World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, airing on Amazon Prime. Join us to hear two couch potatoes talk about athleticism like the foreign concept that it truly is! We also decide to watch Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma for next week. Thanks for listening!Follow us on Instagram: @mediaroompodcast-Katie and Laura
We admit defeat: Darcey & Stacey is just too awful to keep devoting so much time to, so it's time to pivot toward something more interesting. This week we give our last detailed coverage of that mess and move on to The Craft and what we'll talk about moving forward, including The World's Toughest Race, which is available on Amazon Prime.Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast
Join Katie and Laura as they continue to lose interest in Darcey & Stacey (despite a newfound respect for Florian) and find movies and books to be a much better source of amusement. Katie recently finished reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January, Laura is reading The Widow and both discuss the strange way books are translated to the big screen, with Under The Tuscan Sun and American Psycho as prime examples. Oh, and Laura admits to being a old lady who's never watched The Craft. Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast
Katie and Laura talk about episode 2 of Darcey & Stacey: Florian arrives, Darcey makes duck lips in a bubble bath, Stacey drops the bomb that she met with Tom, and Darcey storms out of a restaurant. Sounds like Groundhog Day. Also talk about what else we've been up to and butting in on siblings' relationships. Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast
Katie and Laura watched the series premiere of TLC's Darcey & Stacey and felt it was, ummm...lackluster. They discuss somethings that would be much better to watch: Better Things, Below Deck Med, Project Blue Book, Dr. Pimple Popper, grass growing, paint drying...you get the idea. Higher hopes for the next episode!Follow us on Instagram @mediaroompodcast
Katie and Laura talk about what they've been watching during quarantine, including: Too Hot to Handle, Unorthodox, Dead to Me, Tiger King, Bosch, Ozark, Indian Matchmaking, Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, We're Here, Athlete A. They also touch on the worlds of 90 Days, Real Housewives and HGTV and prepare for the start of Darcey & Stacey.Follow us on Instagram: @mediaroompodcast.
Laura and Katie say hi and tell a little bit about what they'll be talking about. Katie just finished Indian Matchmaking and both are looking forward to watching Darcey & Stacey.
