This is where that godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against the righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out.B. BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was.C. CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.
In a world where few people may know you exist and fewer still may even care, it is comforting to know that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords sees you and knows you. You matter to Jesus enough for Him to die for you, pay your penalty for sins, and then look at you individually desiring a personal relationship with you. Ephesians 3:1-13 1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles 2 Surely you have heard about the administration of Gods grace that was given to me for you, 3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to Gods holy apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. 7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of Gods grace given me through the working of his power. 8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lords people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, 9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. 13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

The House of Lord's amendments to England and Wales assisted dying bill might be causing a constitutional crisis. Lords have tabled 1,277 amendments—which is a record for any equivalent bill in history - and over half of those came from just seven peers. This has led to accusations of "delaying tactics" or "filibustering" to run down the clock deliberately and run this bill off the road. Although some of these amendments have been described as unworkable, repetitious and unnecessary; others reflect serious, legitimate concerns, around the prevention of coercion, how to identify victims of domestic abuse and the broader impact on the disabled community, and whether it's wise to introduce assisted dying while palliative and social care services are so stretched. 300 territories around the world, allow physician assisted death - so we asked experts from Canada and California to reflect on those objections, and if there is any evidence of this issues arising where they live. James Downer is Professor and Head of the Division of Palliative Care at the University of Ottawa, and Catherine Forest is clinical associate professor of family medicine at the University of California San Francisco. Reading list: Scrutiny of the assisted dying bill is vital but obstruction in the House of Lords could mean it never becomes law
Caroline Wheeler of The Sunday Times assesses the latest developments at Westminster. After a week in which the Prime Minister had to fight for his political survival, Caroline speaks to Labour grandee, Alan Johnson, a Cabinet minister in both the Blair and Brown governments, and Peter Hyman, a former strategist for Tony Blair when he was in Number Ten.In the wake of the scandal around Peter Mandelson, and amid concerns about the slow progress of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, a new cross-party group is calling for 'wholesale' reform of the House of Lords. One of those involved is Carmen Smith of Plaid Cymru, the youngest member of the House of Lords. Lord Young of Acton, a Conservative peer and founder of the Free Speech Union, is concerned that rule changes on stripping peerages could be used to suppress speech.Ahead of the Government's Schools White Paper, which is likely to include controversial reforms to special educational needs provision, Caroline speaks to Jo Hutchinson of the Education Policy Institute about how the system might be changed. And, to discuss what it's like inside Number Ten at moments of political crisis, Caroline brings together Guto Harri, former Director of Communications to Boris Johnson, and Luke Sullivan, former political director for Sir Keir Starmer.

Daily Dose of Hope February 13, 2026 Scripture: I Corinthians 16 Prayer: Holy God, We come before you on this Friday with humility and gratefulness. We praise your powerful name. Thank you, so much, Lord, that you came to earth to dwell among us and show us a different way of being. Help us to pay attention to your example. Help us to be more loving and more merciful in all we do. Help us to be even but a small reflection of you. You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Welcome to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope daily Bible reading plan. We have been journeying through the apostle Paul's pastoral letters in chronological order. Today, we are finishing our fourth letter – I Corinthians. Our text is I Corinthians 16, the final chapter of this letter. For the most part, Paul gives practical advice and wisdom. He speaks of taking up a collection for the greater church and of welcoming Christian workers who will be coming to their area soon. It's right after this call to welcome and respect the new leaders that Paul makes this statement, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love." I think we would do well to also heed this advice. This idea of being on guard or being alert seems to suggest that we are in a battle not just with earthly powers but also against the power of evil. There are forces in this world that work against Jesus Christ and as his followers. The Corinthians (and us for that matter) should be aware, alert, and on guard. How easy it was for the Corinthians to drift and get distracted. Umm...sound familiar? Remember whose and who you are might be another way to say it; stay focused on the things of God! Then, there is a call to be courageous and strong. We know from the previous chapters that the Corinthians were arrogant and complacent. Paul is asking them to have courage and do what God has called them to do. Again, I'm thinking Paul could just as easily be talking to the modern church. We have tradition, we have beautiful worship, we have access to all kinds of knowledge, but we don't have courage. This is starting to get personal. Might I add that this kind of strength has nothing to do with physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy weights. This is an internal strength that comes only from God. Finally, Paul says to do everything in love. Yes, being on guard, standing firm, and having courage and strength are critical but they are all pointless if not done with love. Paul is not calling the Corinthians to use aggression or self-assertion (remember, this is how the Corinthian church viewed Christian leadership). Rather, Paul is saying to exhibit all these qualities while demonstrating the love and grace of Jesus. That means, no bullying people to Jesus, no shaming people to Jesus, no manipulating people to Jesus, but only loving people to Jesus. Blessings, Pastor Vicki
What happens when you lose the party whip? A conversation with Neil Duncan-Jordan MPLabour MP Neil Duncan-Jordan joins us this week to reflect on his experience as one of the new intake's most prominent rebels. He describes defying the whip over the means-testing of the Winter Fuel Allowance and proposed disability benefit cuts, the fallout from his suspension from the Parliamentary Labour Party, and the personal and political pressures that come with rebellion. He also discusses his relationship with the Whips and explains why he has twice called for Sir Keir Starmer to step down, most recently in the wake of the Mandelson affair. In this week's episode, we also assess Starmer's increasingly fragile position following the Mandelson–Epstein controversy, examining the risk of further damaging disclosures about Mandelson's contact with Ministers and the potential implications for the Government's legislative programme. We untangle the constitutional confusion surrounding proposals to strip Peter Mandelson and other disgraced peers of their titles, exploring weaknesses in the House of Lords' Code of Conduct, and the broader dangers of legislating in response to a single scandal. Gordon Brown has called for sweeping “root and branch” standards reform – from a new anti-corruption commission to greater use of citizens' juries on parliamentary standards and enhanced select committee scrutiny of ministerial and other public appointments. Ruth and Mark question whether such changes would genuinely rebuild public trust, pointing to nearly two decades of Hansard Society polling showing consistently low levels of trust in politicians and in the effectiveness of the political system. They also argue that the current focus on expelling disgraced Peers from the House of Lords misses a fundamental issue: the Prime Minister's largely unchecked power to appoint them in the first place. We return to the slow progress of the assisted dying bill in the House of Lords, where disagreement continues over whether the pace of debate reflects legitimate scrutiny or amounts to filibustering. Some MPs are calling for accelerated Lords reform in response – but would a wholly elected second chamber be more likely to block legislation rather than less? Finally, we discuss two significant reports from the Procedure Committee: one recommending against the introduction of call lists for debates in the Commons Chamber, and another proposing changes to the way select committee chairs and deputy speakers are elected in the House of Commons.
Hark and well met, noble Cabalists! Return ye now to the dust-laden tomes and candlelit halls of the Dungeon Master's Ludus, that ancient library of wisdom and whispered lore. On this day, the Lords gather in solemn counsel to ponder a matter most sacred to all who bear the mantle of Storycrafter - the elusive spark of inspiration. Come then, and let us speak of where ideas flare bright as dragonfire bringing forth sagas of brave heroes, dark ruins, and fearsome beasts.
Keir Starmer's latest crisis as former aide that he appointed to the Lords has connections to paedophile, Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe says the UK has been colonised by immigrants, and a rise in pupil bad behaviour a key factor in teachers quitting.
PMQs today and – as predicted – Keir Starmer came out worst in a pretty unpleasant session. Kemi Badenoch pinned the Prime Minister on the continued Mandelson fallout and now the scandal over Matthew Doyle, the former No. 10 comms chief who – just four weeks after his ennoblement – Labour have already been forced to kick out of their party in the House of Lords, after it emerged he had campaigned for a friend charged with possessing indecent images of children. Once again, one of those mysterious appointments for which the Prime Minister is never responsible came back to haunt him in public – sound familiar? The response from the Prime Minister was to get increasingly shirty, including with Sir Ed Davey, who accused the PM of a ‘catastrophic lack of judgment' in his most punchy PMQs yet. Sir Keir Starmer is facing yet another crisis over his poor judgment after it emerged that he nominated his former spin doctor, linked to the convicted paedophile Sean Morton, to the House of Lords.Kemi Badenoch skewered the Prime Minister in the Commons over Lord Doyle's appointment, accusing him of “stuffing Government with hypocrites and paedophile apologists”.Tim and Camilla review a disastrous PMQs for Sir Keir and question his latest distraction tactic of playing up his “working class” background.Meanwhile, Sarah Pochin, the Reform UK MP, was banned from speaking at Bangor University, whose debating society accused her of racism, transphobia, and homophobia. She tells Camilla the decision goes against free speech, and also weighs in on Nigel Farage's latest attack on working from home.We want to hear from you! BIOCIDES ARE COMING FOR YOU. Find out what they are, what the benefits and harms they have, and what we can do to control their use in consumer products. This was a fascinating, wide-ranging discussion on the use of agents that can affect the human/animal microbiome and environmental microbes, and the problems with trying to regulate them (in the UK at least). Hope you enjoy it. Bios: Natalie Bennett has been a Green Party representative in the UK House of Lords for six years, after being leader of the England & Wales Party from 2012-2016. Her first degree - from the University of Sydney - was in agricultural science, and she can get very geeky about soils; she got tardigrades into Hansard (the parliamentary record) for the first time ever in her maiden speech. Her Consumer Products (Control of Biocides) Bill was introduced to the House in January 2025. Her first book is Change Everything: How We Can Rethink, Repair and Rebuild Society, and her second (Green Thinking Unlearning Outdated Ideas in Science, Economics and Politics) will be out from Routledge next April. Anastasia “Tash” Theodosiou is an Academic Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and a Specialty Registrar in Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. Her research explores how the microbiome shapes health and disease, with a particular focus on early life; her PhD produced the world's first human challenge study performed in pregnancy. She also coined the term microbiotoxicity, a framework for recognising the unintended impacts of antimicrobial products on the microbiome, and is a passionate advocate for embedding microbiome stewardship into clinical practice, prescribing, and policy.Jame is a podcaster. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 8th of February, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 18:5-6: “They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.” Then we go right down to verse 8, the same thing again: “Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,…” What an incredible Saviour you and I serve, always standing in the gap, always letting others go and Jesus taking the full brunt of any accusation! Jesus said three times, “I am the One you are looking for.” You and I need to start speaking out. We too need to start saying, “Yes, and also am a follower of Jesus Christ.” “Are you one of them?” “Yes, I am.”Speak it out! Let the people know! There is nothing whatsoever to be ashamed of. Remember what the Lord said in the Bible. He said, “If you are ashamed of Me, I will be ashamed of you when I stand before My Father in Heaven.” There is nothing to be ashamed of. Jesus has never let us down, He has never, ever sinned, He has never, ever hurt a child, or a widow, or an orphan, or an older person. No, He has never committed adultery, He has never stolen. We need to speak it out. We need to become more vocal. When people ask us, we need to speak up and say, “Yes, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and my Saviour. He is my best Friend, He is the One I meet early, every single morning. He is indeed a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”I want to say to you today, like never before, you and I need to speak out when people ask us, “And who do you follow?” Then we need to say, “Aah, the Darling of Heaven, the King of kings, the Lord of Lords, the Lion of Judah, the Holy One, the soon-coming Saviour of the world. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful Sunday,Goodbye.

God Himself is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but His people desired another king. The result was not pleasing to God and it was disastrous for Israel.
To love God first is to put him first in our affection, attention, and priority. If anyone or anything comes before God, it becomes an idol. We can even make the ministry for him more important than a relationship with him.Main Points:1. Our motive for putting Jesus first in our lives cannot be the desire for blessings alone. The primary reason we put Jesus first is because He is worthy. Jesus is supreme. He is preeminent. He alone is God. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.2. What is true in our theology must be true in practice. What is true in our beliefs must be true in our lifestyle.3. You and I will never be fulfilled until we put God first in our lives. And we can never do that until we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ once and for all.Today's Scripture Verses:Revelation 2:4-5 - “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”Colossians 1:15-16 - “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.”Colossians 1:18 - “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

In this episode of Unique Scotland, John Harbour explores the origins and evolution of the Scottish clan system, tracing its roots from the painted Picts and the Gaels of Dál Riata, through Viking invasions, to the formation of Alba (early Scotland). The clans emerged as tightly-knit communities bound by kinship, loyalty, and mutual protection, thriving in Scotland's rugged landscapes. Clans were not solely based on blood ties; many adopted the chief's surname for solidarity, and associated families, known as Septs, became integral parts of clan society. The episode recounts famous feuds, such as those between the MacLeods and MacDonalds, and highlights the significant influence of powerful clans like the MacDonalds, MacLeods, Campbells, and Mackays. The dissolution of the Lordship of the Isles in 1493 by James IV marked a seismic shift, as the Crown sought to centralise control over the Highlands, leading to tensions between traditional Gaelic communal landholding and feudal systems. Despite political, economic, and social upheaval, clans remained resilient, adapting to changing circumstances and maintaining their identity and traditions. The episode concludes with a reflection on the enduring spirit of the clans and a promise to explore their decline and modern resurgence in the next instalment.

The revelations about what contact Peter Mandelson had with Jeffrey Epstein, what the government knew, and what it did or is now doing about it is the story that is dominating Westminster. The FT's Jim Pickard joins the podcast team to look back at an explosive week in UK politics, and the serious questions being asked about Starmer's judgement, the vetting process, and the ability to eject unfit members from the Lords – from which Peter Mandelson is on a voluntary leave of absence. Who pays the highest price when respect is missing? That's the inadvertent theme for Hannah and Mick as they tackle this week's news. And it turns out there are plenty of people they'd both like to see with an unexploded WWI ordnance shoved where the sun don't shine, including a lot of men in the Epstein Files, and a fair few MPs and Lords keen to get a dangerously faulty car on the road without an MOT. “GOD, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right and of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:1-4 “Hebrews is basically a book that encourages [exhorts] discouraged Christians to continue on strong with Jesus in light of the complete superiority of who He is and what He did for us.”- David Guzik. In the book of Genesis, we find God speaking to man by angels; they were the messengers…then God began to speak through anointed men such as Moses and Joshua…. Then God spoke to them through priests…then as time progressed God raised up prophets…But God's final revelation was given to man through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to bring man the final, the ultimate message of God. The ultimate understanding of God. So, all that man is to know about God can be discovered in and through Jesus Christ. This revelation is superior than all of the other revelations. His revelation through the Son is superior than the revelation through the angels.”- Chuck Smith.“39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” John 5:39“It isn't so much that Jesus brought a message from the Father; He is a message from the Father. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson 1,400 Nigerian kidnap victims held in forests Truth Nigeria reports that “more than 1,400 kidnap victims are held in horrific conditions in the forests of Nigeria's Kaduna State in North-central Nigeria.” Locations are well known, yet the Nigerian government refuses to get involved. So far, there are no records of Nigerian military entering the massive network of these torture camps. Horrifically, stories abound of Christians being tortured by Muslim terrorists with whips for hours until they are dead. The extremists have also severed the heads and other body parts of Christians. Please pray for the physical safety of our Nigerian brothers and sisters in Christ. Epstein file release leads to resignation of British homosexual politician Over the weekend, disgraced British politician Peter Mandelson resigned his position in the Labour Party after more revelations came out of his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and alleged violations of the Seventh Commandment with girls, reports the BBC. Mandelson was also a well-known homosexual, who faux married a man, violating God's laws relating to improper relations with men. He served as British Ambassador to the United States last year, a member of the House of Lords, Secretary of State, and Lord President of the Council under Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Job 4:8 reminds us that “those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.” Hillary Clinton aims at Doug Wilson, Allie Stuckey, & Mike Johnson Former First Lady and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went after Reformed Pastor Douglas Wilson in a January 29th op-ed column in The Atlantic. She accused the pastor of opposing suffrage for women, advocating theocracy, and associating with War Secretary Pete Hegseth. She lumped Allie Beth Stuckey, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Doug Wilson's Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches into the same basket of what she called “Christian nationalists.” She lamented the sharp decline in participation and membership in mainstream liberal churches. She called for “empathy” in government, referring to Jesus's comments to turn the other cheek, but had nothing to say about Romans 13. She said she opposes tyranny and embraces homosexual and transgender rights. And she decried Trump's immorality, but had nothing to say about Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein in the opinion piece. Trump announces trade deal with India On Monday, President Donald Trump announced a trade deal with India, reports The Epoch Times. The United States would reduce import tariffs from 50% to 18% — a 25% relief if India agrees to stop imports of Russian oil. The Afghanistan Taliban government reintroduced slavery On January 27th, U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Jim Risch announced that the Afghanistan Taliban government has re-incorporated slavery in the country. The new Afghan criminal procedure code issued in January also provides the Taliban government with “broad and dangerous authority to kill opponents, critics, and human rights activists under this designation, without guaranteeing the right to defense and fair trial,” according to Rawadari.org. Quite the opposite of the Islamic vision for the world, Jesus has come “To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18,19) “Jelly Roll” glorified Jesus Christ at the Grammys This year's Grammy Awards ceremony, which recognizes achievement in the music industry, came and went again, with its typical outrageous, scandalous presentations, leftist political bias, and demoralizing and anti-social content. But one country music personality by the name of Jason DeFord, known as Jelly Roll, stood out from the crowd for a minute or two, when he addressed the audience. Listen. DEFORD: “I know they're gonna try to kick me off here, so just let me try to get this out. There was a time in my life, y'all that I was, I was broken. That's why I wrote this album. I didn't think I had a chance, y'all. There was days that I thought the darkest things. I was a horrible human. “There was a moment in my life that all I had was a Bible this big, and a radio the same size, and a six by eight-foot cell. And I believe that those two things could change my life. I believe that music had the power to change my life, and God had the power to change my life. “And I want to tell y'all right now: Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus, and anybody can have a relationship with Him. I love you, Lord.” Every now and then, the truth slips out. Jelly Roll won a Grammy for the Best Contemporary Country Album entitled “Beautifully Broken,” reports Forbes. 13-year-old boy swam 4 hours off Australian coast to save family And finally, a 13-year-old boy saved his mother and two siblings who had drifted off the coast of Australia last Friday by swimming four kilometers, reports the BBC. The 13-year-old swam the first two hours with his life jacket on. That was slowing him down, so he ditched it, and swam the last two hours without it. The family had been paddle-boarding and kayaking off the coast of Western Australia, when strong winds pushed them out to sea. The boy made it to shore by 6:00 pm. Two and a half hours later, a rescue helicopter spotted the mom with her 12-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter at 8:30 pm. The Marine Rescue Group commended the young man for his “bravery, strength and courage.” Paul Bresland, commander of the group, called the feat “superhuman.” And an inspector, James Bradley, said, "The actions of the 13-year-old boy cannot be praised highly enough. His determination and courage ultimately saved the lives of his mother and siblings." 2 Chronicles 15:7 says, “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, February 3rd, in the year of our Lord 2026.
