Whom and what to trust? This is a constant battle but we can work at it.
With more content choices available than ever before, deciding which types of media to use (and when not to use them) is an important one. We continue to apply this essential information by making key daily decisions for our mental health, maintaining positive social relationships, and career prospects. This is the module that allows us to explore how people, profit, and platforms shape the choices we make using all forms of media.
We are living in the most challenging and complex information landscape in history. News literacy education empowers people with skills to successfully navigate this landscape. This module will allow us to focus on how we get the news, how framing and partisanship affects the news we receive and begin to focus on ways we can become better-informed and more engaged participants in our media saturated world.
