As traditional records like tickets are eliminated or fragmented, providers who lack their own carefully preserved baselines may find themselves forced to rely on vendor-generated claims for demonstrating avoided work or cost savings. This creates exposure to contract risk, compromised pricing leverage, and governance complexity—especially if ticket-level detail, taxonomy, or supporting operational notes are lost in platform migrations or poorly configured retention policies. Wenn Pflanzen und Tiere sich in Gebieten ansiedeln, in denen sie ursprünglich nicht heimisch waren, spricht man von biologischer Invasion. Ein solches Tier, das sich gerade in Österreich breitmacht, ist die Quaggamuschel. Das Weichtier, das früher nur in Zuflüssen des Schwarzen Meeres lebte, bevölkert mittlerweile viele Seen in Oberösterreich, Salzburg und Kärnten sowie den Bodensee in Vorarlberg. Die Quaggamuschel ist in unseren Gewässern allerdings kein freundliches Alien. Wo sie sich ansiedelt, beginnt sie, das Ökosystem zu dominieren und heimische Arten zu verdrängen. Und auch Erkundigungen zu allfälligen Krankheiten und Vorschriften im Reiseland sind unerlässlich. Vor der Reise gilt es folgendes zu beachten: · Ist das Tier gegen Parasiten, Zecken und Bandwürmer behandelt? · Sind die nötigen Dokumente, wie Ausweis etc. noch aktuell? · Sind Impfpass und Impfungen (vorallem gegen Tollwut) vorhanden? · Kennzeichnung durch Chip oder Tätowierung? · Einreiseverbot für kupierte Hunde? · Rassenverbot oder Maulkorbpflicht? · Brauche ich eine Tierhaftpflichtversicherung?

Auch heute setzen viele Landwirt*innen sie auf ihren Betrieben ein. In dieser Podcastfolge zeigen Michael Walkenhorst und Michelle Krügel, wie traditionelles Wissen und moderne Forschung zusammenwirken und welche Bedeutung Arzneipflanzen für die Tiergesundheit haben können. Arzneipflanzen enthalten nicht nur einen einzelnen Wirkstoff, sondern eine Vielzahl verschiedener Inhaltsstoffe. Diese können an unterschiedlichen Stellen im Körper wirken und sich gegenseitig ergänzen. Genau darin sehen Forschende einen wichtigen Vorteil gegenüber isolierten Wirkstoffen. Michael Walkenhorst erklärt, dass etwa bei Magen-Darm-Erkrankungen meist mehrere Beschwerden gleichzeitig auftreten. Deshalb sei es von Vorteil, wenn eine Arzneipflanze wie die Kamille nicht nur Krämpfe lindere, sondern zugleich entzündungshemmend wirke. Gleichzeitig machen diese komplexen Wirkstoffgemische die wissenschaftliche Untersuchung anspruchsvoll. Moderne Analysen tragen jedoch dazu bei, die Wirkmechanismen traditionell genutzter Arzneipflanzen immer besser zu verstehen.Bewährte Pflanzen für die landwirtschaftliche PraxisStudien des FiBL zeigen, dass auf Schweizer Tierhaltungsbetrieben vor allem bekannte Arzneipflanzen wie Kamille, Ringelblume, Johanniskraut oder Brennnessel verwendet werden. Viele Anwendungen werden innerhalb der Familie weitergegeben, andere stammen aus Fachbüchern oder Kursen. Gleichzeitig zeigen die Erhebungen, wie unterschiedlich Dosierungen und Anwendungen in der Praxis ausfallen können.Praktische Tipps für den EinstiegMichelle Krügel empfiehlt für den Einstieg insbesondere Thymian, Brennnessel und Bitterstoffpflanzen wie Löwenzahn. Letzteren bezeichnet sie im Podcast als «Omo der Körperzellen», weil er den Stoffwechsel unterstütze und den Körper beim «Putzen und Reinigen» helfe. Zudem erklärt sie, wie diese Pflanzen beispielsweise als Tee, Heu oder Inhalation eingesetzt werden können und worauf bei der Anwendung geachtet werden sollte. Starting in the fall, Albertans will be able to pay out of pocket for surgery. The government of Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says the move will allow people to get off waitlists, thereby getting people the surgeries they need while also shortening lists for those who can't pay. Critics, however, say it creates a health system that prioritizes the rich over the poor, and siphons resources from the public system, resulting in those who can't pay having to deal with even more understaffed hospitals and longer waits. By Doug Green “We see some customers with 70% autonomous resolution—and I'm talking about real resolution, not just giving an answer, but actually doing it for you and resolving the ticket completely.” AI vendors have filled the market with promises of productivity, automation and lower operating costs. Atera is taking a different approach: putting a measurable performance commitment behind its autonomous IT agent. In this Technology Reseller News podcast, I speak with Tal Dagan, Chief Product Officer at Atera, about Robin, the company's autonomous IT agent, and what it means to move from AI experimentation to demonstrable operational outcomes. Atera began as an all-in-one professional services automation and remote monitoring and management platform. That foundation gives Robin access to both sides of an IT incident: the ticketing conversation with the employee and the device-level tools needed to diagnose and correct the problem. Dagan explains that Robin does more than suggest a troubleshooting step. When an employee reports that a computer is running slowly, Robin can run diagnostics, identify a memory-hungry browser tab or cache problem, take corrective action, confirm that performance has returned to normal and close the issue end-to-end. That distinction matters. Many AI tools provide answers or instructions, but the work still falls to the employee or technician. Robin is designed to carry out operations on managed devices and connected third-party applications, allowing the system to resolve qualifying incidents rather than simply recommend a response. Atera is backing the product with a performance guarantee for qualified customers: Robin will autonomously resolve 50% of Tier 1 and complex Tier 2 incidents within 90 days, or the applicable fees are waived. Before deployment, customers can also test selected use cases in a proof of concept using real workflows and ticket data. According to Dagan, the company is already seeing autonomous resolution rates above 50% among many customers, with some reaching approximately 70%. He emphasizes that these figures refer to complete resolution—not an AI-generated answer telling a user what to do next. The podcast also explores where people remain essential. Customers determine which actions Robin is authorized to take and where an approval or technician should enter the process. For example, Robin can verify whether an employee belongs in an email distribution group, request a manager's approval and then make the change. A more cautious organization can route the same request to a technician. Even when Robin does not close a ticket autonomously, it can gather information from the employee, the device and connected systems before handing the case to a technician. That reduces diagnostic work, shortens resolution time and gives the technician a better starting point. For MSPs, the larger opportunity is scale. Routine incidents, repetitive information gathering and approval-driven workflows consume significant technician time. Moving more of that work to an autonomous agent can enable an MSP to support additional customers without increasing headcount at the same rate, while allowing skilled staff to focus on complex problems and higher-value services. The conversation points toward a new phase of enterprise AI adoption—one in which providers are measured not by demonstrations or broad claims, but by the percentage of real work completed, the speed of response and the operational burden removed from IT teams. Elles posent les bases de leur projet, et, surtout, de leur joyeuse et solide association.Ensemble, on évoque ensuite les coulisses de l'ouverture de leur première boulangerie. Trouver un local, penser l'organisation, imaginer le lieu, définir ce qu'elles veulent proposer et à quel rythme. Elles se souviennent des premières décisions structurantes, des contraintes matérielles et de la réalité du lancement. Malgré le succès immédiat, le projet se construit jour après jour, entre ajustements, fatigue et enthousiasme.Enfin, Cécile et Victoria reviennent sur la croissance maîtrisée de Mamiche ces dernières années. Elles mettent ainsi en lumière leur volonté de faire grandir Mamiche sans renoncer à son identité : préserver l'exigence du produit, le geste artisanal et une certaine idée du métier, en avançant à leur rythme et en restant fidèles à leurs valeurs.
