My True Crime Obsession

The year was 1991 and it was the beginning of Desert Storm, when aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, one young petty officers' life was about the change forever.

In 1999 a frantic 14 year old girl rushed into a Hong Kong police station claiming to being haunted by the ghost of a dead local woman. At first the police thought the girl delusional but once she proceeded to tell them that the woman was haunting her because she taken part in the murder, everything changed, and what police discovered was a scene more gruesome than they ever could have imagined. 

Some suspect a serial killer while others blame something paranormal, but no one has been able to explain the mysterious disappearances from Vermont's Bennington Triangle. What do you believe?

On the morning of Dec. 16, 1935, Thelma Todd`s maid found her employer`s body in the garage, slumped over the wheel of her Lincoln convertible. On Easter Sunday, April 11, 1993, 450 prisoners rioted at the maximum security Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, OH. The ensuing standoff between rioters and law enforcement lasted 11 days, and ended with the deaths of one corrections officer and 9 inmates. 

On Easter Sunday 1975, James Ruppert committed the greatest single family massacre in Ohio's history. But what was the motive behind this terribly heinous crime?

This week we talk about American murderer, Gary Heidnik, who kidnapped, tortured, and raped six women, killing two of them, while holding them prisoner in a pit in his basement. Gary is believed to be the inspiration for the fictional character Buffalo Bill from the classic movie Silence of the Lambs.
