This week Vee covers the curious case of James Ruppert, a man who gunned down his entire extended family as they celebrated Easter, perpetrating the deadliest mass shooting by one individual in the state of Ohio's history. Find out what happens when paranoia, jealously, and delusion come home to roost. While Easter is generally a day of peace with your loved ones, that's not always the case. Fifty years ago, on March 30th, 1975, Easter Sunday was a nightmare for one Ohio family. That Sunday, James Ruppert called the police simply telling the dispatcher there's been a shooting. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the Easter massacre perpetrated by James Ruppert. When the police arrived, they discovered this was more than a shooting, this was a massacre. There was never a doubt that James Ruppert was behind it. The real question was why Ruppert murdered eleven of his family members that day. You can help out the show at patreon.com/criminology An Emash Digital production
On today's show we have James Ruppert. A former writer for Autocar and many of the major car magazines along with his own online magazine, freecarmag.com. James is extremely knowledgeable in bangernomics. That's keeping an old car running on a tight budget and helps us with buying advice for your next used car. He's also extremely anti-EV. We get into the topic of evs really being pushed to get us out of our cars because our politicians can only see zero emmissions and not the harm to the motor industry and to people's freedom to drive to get to work and places where public transport simply can't cover. Here's James's YouTube channel and links for his excellent books and more. https://www.youtube.com/@bangernomics1 www.freecarmag.com https://link.sbstck.com/redirect/c9703618-bd3e-4ad9-a9fd-e3ed63b3cb66?j=eyJ1IjoiNGF6ZzBjIn0.Kbl1b8Em7qdbKn0sVXyNh4P3KM-38AEa0H13vj-meic Drive fast but drive your bus faster

James Ruppert is the man with the pen behind the Bangermonics movement. As an automotive journalist, James has written for all the big names and still writes for car magazines today. However James also runs a business selling fly screens. Yup, fly screens...! In this podcast style James and Geoff sit down in a Mini to discuss old cars, the lack of flies, the weird skies, favourite shirts, three piece suits and amongst other things, Opel Asconas and Ford Taunses. Tauni? Tawny? Anyway, enjoy. James Ruppert was never the favourite child and grew up constantly being compared to his older, much more successful brother Leonard. This led him to build up so much resentment against his family that on Easter Sunday 1975 he shot his mother, Leonard, his sister in law and his 8 nieces and nephews without a second thought...Thank you all so much for listening to today's episode! Please feel free to skip over this episode if the subject matter will negatively affect you. Thanks, Tourists!Today, we dive into two tragic cases that occurred on Easter Sunday. The case of Robert Irwin, who took his rage of rejection out on a family with whom he had previously boarded, senselessly murdering Veronica Gedeon, her mother Mary Gedeon, and Frank Byrnes, an Englishman who was boarding with the Gedeon family. Then, we discuss the horrific massacre of 11 family members at the hands of James Ruppert, a once docile man whose paranoia caused him to snap and kill his brother, sister-in-law, mother, and his 8 nieces and nephews.Be sure to catch the Season 3 Premiere of Sex and Murder on HLN this Sunday at 10PM ET/PT!Find us on our social media!Twitter: @NopevillecastInstagram: @nopevillepodcastFacebook: Nopeville PodcastWebsite: nopevillepodcast.comSupport us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nopevillepodcastBuy us a coffee! : buymeacoffee.com/nopevilleVisit our Gift Shop: shop.spreadshirt.com/nopevilleMember of the Darkcast Network: https://darkcastnetwork.wixsite.com/indie
Hope everyone had a relaxing, fun, filled-with-love Easter weekend, because that's the exact opposite of our case today. Let's think about a scenario: you have been looking for a new home, and finally, after a long search, you are closing on buying your dream house. But while you are waiting for the paperwork to go through, somebody comes and asks you: "Do you know what happened in that house?" You don't, so you go to Google, and the search results tell you a horrible story. Eleven family members were brutally murdered inside your future home on one Easter Sunday. Would you still move in? That is the question Cinnamon Baker had to ask herself when she was buying the house at 635 Minor Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio in 2008. Her boyfriend's co-worker asked about a man named James Ruppert and when the couple looked him up, what they found was not pretty. Bangers & Classics Podcast present 'An Innocenti Man' with James Ruppert and David Milloy. where James admits to not being a Land Rover anorak and David claims to have been a model for a clothing line. Both of them can be considered beautiful flops like most Lancias and the Renault Avantime. Talk turns to milk floats and one of them turns out to actually be an Innocenti Man.
James Ruppert and David Milloy talk about the weird world of naming cars, how brilliant old car adverts are and suggest just what supercars their own comic book superheroes should drive.
The pilot episode, in which James Ruppert and David Milloy explain what a banger is and isn't, touch on the hideous 2009/10 scrappage scheme, recall the 'suitcase test', and compare old-fashioned buttons with new-fangled touchscreens.

James Ruppert's entire life was full of frustration. It started in childhood with his mother and brother and continued throughout his life. Adding to this frustration, Ruppert became increasingly paranoid that others, including his own family, were out to get him. This culminated in a massacre on Easter Sunday 1975 where Ruppert killed 11 members of his family. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life of James Ruppert and the massacre that happened by his hands. What exactly happened during Ruppert's childhood that would stay with him for the rest of his life? And why exactly did James murder his entire family? Was it about money as the prosecution claimed or did he get to a point in his life where the frustration and paranoia finally became too much for him.You can help support the show by going to patreon.com/truecrimeallthetimeVisit the show's website at truecrimeallthetime.com for contact, merchandise, and donation informationSponsors:Betterhelp.com/tcatt
