One Nation Under God: America and its National Covenant

The Nephite story comes to an end as wickedness prevails in the land. They experience first-hand the consequence of disobeying the national covenant.

After the prophecies of Samuel the Lamanite, the Nephites anxiously look for those signs of the birth of Christ. But the Gadianton Robbers continue to grow and spread and threaten the very existence of the Nephites.

After a lengthy war with the Lamanites, the Nephites face new challenges as the Gadianton Robbers come among them and begin to corrupt the people.

Once the missionary work finished, the Nephites became locked in a war against their Lamanite brothers. Being led by Moroni, they are able to see miracles as they fight to protect the covenant they have made.

As the reign of the judges begins, we take a look at the missionary work that commenced among the Nephites and the Lamanites.

As King Benjamin's reign comes to a close, his son, Mosiah, takes over and helps unite a lost people.

As our look at Nephite history continues, we examine the generations that come after the days of Jacob. We look at how the Nephites both prospered and perished as well as key figures who helped support them.

As the time of Nephi draws to a close, the people begin facing numerous challenges, including sins and war.

As we continue to examine the National covenant, we explore the beginnings of the third group to have their chance, the Nephites. We look at how the faith of one son leads to the creation of a nation that shows great faith throughout their history.

Before we dive into the history of the Nephites, we examine the book that details their history and try to understand why is it so important to us today?

As the time of the Jaredite comes to a close, we look at the key role secret combinations played in their destruction. We also examine how the National Covenant was, once again, fulfilled in the end of the Jaredites.

After the deaths of Jared and Mahonri, the Jaredite people began a vicious cycle of righteousness and wickedness. That cycle only became worse when secret combinations were introduced to the people.

The first era of the National Covenant comes to a close as we look at the days of Noah and how the National Covenant played a part in the flood. We focus more on the consequences of disobeying that covenant as well as God's mercy through it all.

We begin our journey of exploring the National Covenant by looking at where it originated. Starting in the Garden of Eden, we see how that covenant influenced Adam and Eve. We also see examples of those who refused to follow the covenant and the consequences they faced.
