It has been a few years that Discobar is well connected with the beautiful city Lisbon. Berllioz is one of the first people we've met over there — he is one of the local heroes from Lisbon’s underground house and techno scene. While Discobar had a stage at the Lisboa Electronica Festival, Berllioz was playing one of his live set before Raresh — quite impressive that day! It was in a warehouse in the middle of São Paulo that Tati Pimont caught the attention of the Discobar team; bright energy, a nice selection and flow. Nowadays, Tati is truly someone that represents the techno scene in Brazil. She's been one of the residents of the excellent party Subdivisions but also playing some really nice gigs & festivals in Brazil. Originally from Toulouse like much of the Discobar family, Jonas has travelled far and wide for his music. It was during a very special warm up set at Concrete, Paris earlier this year where his talents were fully recognized and his passion for djing shone through to show the full potential of this up-and-coming artist in the scene. Its moments like this, which really make everything make sense on the dance floor. Warm, open and grounded her values reflect the expressive and creative person she is, and talented DJ/producer she has become. Her un-wavering commitment to establish a sense of community through music has roots in her constant traveling, having lived across the world, including Canada, Cairo and Berlin. Currently living between Cairo and Berlin, her event series ‘Unfamiliar’ celebrates the coolest up-and-coming female electronic music artists, and provides a platform for them to explore playing in constant new locations. With spring just around the corner, the Discobar team is proud to introduce the newest edition to the Radiobar series and a good friend to the Discobar team, the talented DJ, Topper. It was during a sweet end of summer before Club Der Visionaere closed for the season that we met Darren personally and also heard his technique and skills behind the decks which this podcast shows. Founder of Underlying Form – a community, party and, since his debut release, record label – Darren Allen is a key figure in an international network of uncompromisingly underground minimal house and techno nights and DJs. Radiobar’s next invitee does not need much of an introduction. Discobar’s first encounter with him was in a warehouse party in Brooklyn two years back, where his classy technique and medley of musical maestroism shone through like the sunrays beaming down on his afterhours set proving himself against the New York heavyweights as a true artist in the making. Currently based in Copenhagen his time is kept occupied by running his label Concealed Sounds that featured the sounds of Thomas Melchior recently ; as well as producing his own work, having releases on Minibar, Aeternum and Subsequent to name a few.
