I caught up with Lynn Enright, author of Vagina: A Re-education. We discussed how repeal the 8th, combined with movements such as metoo and timesup, became a catalyst for sparking conversations that have long been overdue surrounding women's sexuality, womens' health and even the language used to describe out own bodies. Lynn's book, Vagina a Re-education highlights many of these topics , we talk about her why, how and what inspired her to write the book which now adorns many bookshelves worldwide! At the time of recording Lynn was the Acting Digital Director at Grazia magazine. She is also a journalist that has written for publications such as Vogue, Stylist, The Independant, The Financial Times & The Irish Times.
Clare set up an instagram account in 2019 as a way of holding herself accountable to the debt she had accrued. What was originally an anonymous account, Clare revealed herself in February this year when preparing for her book, 'Real Life Money' to be published. We spoke about all things money, shame and emotional spending. Nave caught up with Jessica Duffin of This EndoLife. Jessica was diagnosed with Endometriosis and is now supporting other people with the same diagnosis. Endometriosis affects one in ten women and there are likely many many more people who suffer without a formal diagnosis, it can take on average 7 years to have a recognised diagnosis from health care professionals and at the point of release, surgery is the most common offering. Although surgery on its own doesn't offer a cure and can in some cases create more issues. Jessica has turned to nutrition after noticing the effect it had on her condition. She has trained as a women's health coach specialising in endometriosis and offers support to women 121 and via her blog and podcast.
