Scrying and Crying

This is a podcast for truth, you guys. A lot of stuff is happening in this book. So much stuff! We’re honestly confused about a lot of it but ADAM PARRISH AND RONAN LYNCH TOTALLY KISSED and it’s all we really care about, to be quite honest. It’s date night in Henrietta and it’s creepier than you could ever imagine. Adam and Ronan go for a drive of scrying and sexual tension. Maura and the Grey Man are ghost hunting. It's episode 12 and "Blue Lily, Lily Blue" is rapidly coming to a close! In this episode, Gansey has a crisis when things don't live up to his #aesthetic, Adam and Ronan go on a grocery store date (aka THE BEST KIND OF DATE), and we cry for the millionth time over the courtroom scene. Seriously, we cry on mic. It's very embarrassing but we regret nothing! Dust off your doggy yellow sweater and listen in!

After a brief interruption by life, we're back with episode 11! JESSE DITTLEY is introduced and we bask in his all-caps Henrietta charm, the Greenmantles decide to take up spelunking, and so many secrets are revealed, from Matthew's origin story to who exactly is on the St. Mark's Eve watch list. Plus, we recap our time at Maggie's Seven Sentences writing workshop, what we learned, and how we kept our fangirling (mostly) to a minimum. Check the bacon symbol on the car and let's ride!

You guys, our prayers and Tumblr posts have been answered: "The Raven Cycle" rights were bought and we're getting a TV pilot!...maybe? We unpack the official press release, vet the executive producers, and discuss best and worst case scenarios for our beloved series. There's a lot of wild speculation and shrug emojis happening, so have your people call our people and let's discuss!

We're kicking off our coverage of "Blue Lily, Lily Blue" and there is no chill to be had! From fingertip touching to dreaming straight teeth, these kids are dizzy with spring fever and it shows. As a new year begins, "The Dream Thieves" is winding down! In episode 8, we discuss our new favorite fancasts, how you solve a problem like a missing Adam Parrish, and we go quiet as we read our first quiet car ride with Gansey and Blue (literally, we forget that we're supposed to be talking at one point). We're back after a NaNoWriMo-inspired hiatus! In this episode, we discuss what kind of hostess gift you bring to a Kavinsky party, first dates and first kisses, and we log the first entry in a long series of "Caitlin and Teresa are Terrible Readers". After some unforeseen technical difficulties (LOOKING AT YOU, GARAGEBAND), we're back with episode 6! We've made it to The Dream Thieves! In this episode, we discuss how we actually feel bad for Declan (what?!), the rules of dream thieving, and that awkward moment when your sort-of girlfriend still won't kiss you. And just like that, we're wrapping up "The Raven Boys"! Gansey picks up Adam from the hospital while we check ourselves in because PAIN, Maura offers sage parental advice that we probably shouldn't listen to, and we learn the fate of Barrington "I Know The Guacamole's Extra" Whelk. The first book is ending, but everything else is just starting!

In episode 3, we discuss who exactly is responsible for Ronan, group hangs at Monmouth, who should direct the TV adaptation (call us, Netflix!), and there's a lot of anguished sighing over the scene at the trailer park.
